Are you emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually expressive, free, balanced, healthy…?? Is any type of fear blocking you, depressing you, affecting you in any way…??
The subconscious is where our experiences, beliefs and memories are stored. Self-knowledge, the understanding of our thoughts and behaviors and their influence on our lives, will make the unconscious conscious; however, quite often people repress things, avoid expression, ignore how they feel and think, and they remain trapped in themselves with bouts of sadness, embarrassment, moodiness, anger, and all types of anxiety… Ever happened to you that your subconscious knows something but your conscious does not fully, or that you feel you cannot quite express yourself or be free from a feeling you have deep inside…??
Liberation, inner revolution, deeper knowledge through drawing or mapping your inner images, visions, or feelings; and this is tapping into your own subconscious to access that repressed sense you have, and this not only frees you to feel better and direct your life with greater vision and confidence but it enables you to communicate more openly with others while you make your unconscious conscious through your art/through your divine expression… Map your business strategies. Write down how you feel about a certain situation. Describe your mental images on paper. Work on freeing past memories. Whatever you do, make your unconscious conscious always. You can see better if the pond is cleaner.
For example, I used to wake up in the middle of the night and write my dreams; and so I found many answers I was looking for in that moment of my life–by making the unconscious forces of consciousness work to my advantage I liberated myself and opened my own conscious mind to greater understanding. As in dreams, one may experience certain unbalance, unhealthiness, trapped emotions during day or night, and this may disturb us; and so, in those cases making use of our inner abilities for artistic expression is what will make the difference between slavery or freedom.
“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” ~ C.G. Jung; Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology.
As I woke up this morning… thousands of warm slivers of sunshine filled my room, Bobby, my little dog barked in the background, I got up and felt taken by the early morning’s energy. Then, a particular thought came to mind: ‘Freedom.’ Freedom…??… I followed my morning routine, toothbrush and stretch, and I kept on hearing the little shrieking with which I had become so enamored by now. Bobby wanted to be let out, enjoy the day and expand his own curiosity, thus immerse himself in the wonderful micro-world of smells. I put his leash on and we started our routine walk, except this time we explored another part of the area. While strolling and courting the sunshine spectrum we also felt the soothing morning breeze upon us, charmingly refreshing, almost magical, and to really be there was a wonderful experience on its own. He was sniffing away as if possessed! “Who knows what sorts of little worlds he finds among the blades of green grass,” I thought while smiling.
My Toy Poodle, Bobby, spotting a bug in our daily morning walks.
As I woke up this morning… Then, the particular thought came to mind again, ‘Freedom.’ But this time I recognized it. Bobby wants freedom! You want freedom! I want freedom! We all want freedom! But not superficial, not the facade of freedom; true freedom, a deeper freedom which has really to do with divinity and not with the flesh. Although the ignorant mind thinks that it has to do with the flesh; but it does not, does it…?? Freedom from stress, freedom from concepts, freedom from this flesh, freedom from our everyday lives– This is true freedom! We all feel this nagging sensation deep inside of us each moment, then thought comes along and gives it a name–which could be ‘Violence,’ ‘Extra eating,’ ‘Sex,’ ‘Killing,’ ‘Bullying,’ ‘Warring,’ ‘Traveling,’ ‘Seek relationships,’ ad infinitum. The ego is thought, and thought invades the human experience each second of each day, it is relentless, we need it and yet it brings poisoned ways to translate freedom into what we want. It works subconsciously in the unawakened individual, it starts as a desire to do something, anything, than thought gives it a flavor, a name, an activity…
But it is all about freedom, all we do, all human experience we create in existence; because we all want to come back to Source really, come back to that state of godliness, that eternal essence, or however you call it. But the ego does not allow us to see that all we want is freedom; that is why to be awakened is to know freedom, to be whole and embrace it… Although, I have to say, we can become Enlightened, we can love purely, we can live truly free in our lands, self-sufficient; but we can never be 100% free unless no thought exists, no feeling drives us, and no flesh enslaves us. And what is this absolutely free state…??: Death. Or what we call death, anyway… Now, isn’t it interesting that people live unconsciously, seeking for freedom in all they do, but fearing what they call Death–i.e., fearing the same thing they seek, fearing freedom from all bondage…??… It is the unknown, isn’t it…??: Death… But it is absolute freedom from this mundane jail of pleasure and pain called human experience, and your conscience deeply, beyond your ego, knows this.
Perhaps if we all understand that all we want is freedom, we won’t allow our own egos to drive us into self-destruction, and we won’t destroy the human experience of others by some selfish expression of our own egos.
Is inspiration something that bashes you on the head suddenly…?? Is inspiration something which is only reserved for the highly creative…??
Step out of the cage and create inspiration!
If you look at the world through people’s “logic” and beliefs, something is missing in their everyday lives–they make mistake after mistake, they do not take responsibility for their own actions, they seem to ignore what love and truth really are, they hate their jobs, etc… Why is that…?? Is it because they lack inspiration to see and understand even their own lives…??
The artist waits for inspiration to hit him because throughout the ages society and all philosophies have told him that inspiration is a divine magic which comes to him from above, from somewhere he is not. And this ignorant knowledge has gotten out and filled the minds of all of us, so inspiration has become a wealthy trait, something miraculous, something which not everybody can access. Doesn’t seem fair, does it…?? I mean we all have to create in our lives, we all must fix our personal problems, we all struggle to find success in whatever we do, we all need a little inspiration daily, right…??
It is the waiting that which distances people. The waiting is killing us. No. Why would you wait for inspiration when you must look inside you for inspiration, like you must look inside you for love and happiness. Step out of your own mechanical thinking and inspire yourself! Step out of the cage and create inspiration! You must be proactive and creative, because these are traits we all have; and you find them step by step: Write down ideas, think about past memories, connect to how you really feel, begin to work out the simple and easy things, and so on… As an artist, I say that I never wait for inspiration, I am inspiration; so I begin to write something simple, I draw something simple, I see my feelings… and, Voila!: There it is..
Step out of the cage and create inspiration!
“Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.” ~ Swami Sivananda.
What is the true revolution which actually changes the individual…?? Why is freedom a personal revelation, an inward revolution…??
The world, each group, every individual wears a mask and puts on a show of brutality or kindness, in this way we all desire to be truly free; because whether man consciously knows it or not, freedom is true love, true happiness, and we seek it in different ways. So humanity seeks love and happiness, they seek it through what they call rebellion or revolution, which in their sheer ignorance means defending the country through wars, through more variety in foods by killing and exploiting animals, through physiological and psychological highs with drugs of various types, through sex with different people, etc. etc.
They do this over and over again, they have been doing it for thousands of years and they haven’t learned yet; for they seek freedom outwardly through activities of the ego… But can the ego really give you love, happiness, freedom…??
No. It is an illusion of the senses. Freedom is an inward trait, an inward revolution, thus it is us without an ego-centered activity. Freedom is not putting on the show. Freedom is being you, embracing your flaws, discovering your unique talents, expressing your feelings and thoughts. Freedom is meditating on yourself daily, and not allowing others to pressure you into going to war, into hating, into eating the same the masses eat, into having the same fun the rabble has. For how can anyone really be free if you try to be liked by others, follow others, and reject your true self….?? Hell, this is sheer madness!
To free the world, to allow love into the world, to bring happiness into the world, first you allow yourself to experience this by having an inner revolution; and because you are the world, your consciousness brings this energy of freedom, of truth, into the world you see–i.e., it is a connectivity, a divine and wonderful link which unites our consciousness with the collective consciousness.
“To live is to find out for yourself what is true, and you can do this only when there is freedom, when there is continuous revolution inwardly, within yourself.” ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti.
Why is it that for most people being alone is so difficult…?? Do you realize that when it comes to love and happiness, inward manifestations, they can only be known by one who knows how to be alone…??
The undisciplined mind is always chatting and seeking entertainment and the company of other minds, seeking noise and distraction from the inner self; therefore, the egoistical mind hates to be alone, it despises meditation and depth, so it can never realize inward truths like love and happiness… So what does it find out there…??
Out there, it finds attachment and pleasure. The superficial mind loves attachment and pleasure because it distracts from the truth that the individual is not whole, the individual is lost and does not feel whole; so, the individual must seek for another person, another relationship, another buy, another trip, to feel whole… Thus the illusion continues… The illusion which says that the person knows love and happiness, but in reality the person only knows schemes in time and space, namely attachment and pleasure… Isn’t this sheer madness, to live your whole life enslaved to this egoistical mirage and never actually experience true love and happiness…??
Love, same as happiness, is the foundation of what we are. So how can it be found out there with all the noise and confusion…?? … No. Only the one who knows how to be alone knows it, because love is meditation, as life is meditation; and meditation only happens inwardly, when you accept and befriend your own silence, like the Sun finds its own energy and heat inwardly to bathe all of us and create life outwardly.
Love is the human name which we give to what fills every atom in our bodies, and this divine energy of Creation resides beyond time and space, which is beyond every thought and feeling since these are of this named time and space. True love then is only known to us through a deeper connection, a powerful sense throughout our bodies.
But beware of thoughts and feelings which talk of intense attraction and which create attachment, for this is not love but a form of expression which is stimulated by the physical senses. This form of intense attraction is indeed attachment, and attachment is not freedom; but attachment is tied to a strong desire you have, to the desire of others, it finds identity in others, it makes you lost without others… So, ponder deeply what love really is…
“What Am I…??”
Yes, as it be, my world has no bind, I am from a place which is no place, I am from a time which is no time, Yes, I exist far beyond this space. I came here to meet all and love all, I stepped through the portal of flesh; You and I freely flow towards the call, Beyond idle chatter you and I mesh.
I am absolute freedom and I am you, I do own all and I do not own things; I am that which you see in the sky blue, I am that which true happiness brings. My very consciousness is most pure; Enlightenment is my true level of Being. Of society’s mental illness I am the cure; You find me in you if you’re truly seeing.
What is it that makes someone jealous, or what is the state of mind which produces this sickness…?? How can people think that jealousy and love have any relation to each other…?? What is true love, which most people do not really know, if not magical and absolutely free…??
It all comes back to love, doesn’t it…?? If you want to understand why people does anything in life, if you want to understand yourself, seek to deeply understand the root of love; not romantic or any other concept society gives us of love, but seek to understand the beautiful and perfect essence of love connecting everything and everybody. This careful study shall take you to the understanding of that false “love” people feels, namely ‘attachment.’ And this knowledge shall take you immediately to the understanding of fear itself.
Being jealous, for example, is a very dark and negative mindset, which it is away from pure love; thus, it concentrates on attachment, fear which agitates the mind and fogs higher conscience. The same goes for all envy and covetousness, which live in the desperate and truly unloving mind; for this mind is attached to the outward situations, thus away from the inward state where all love dwells… You do understand that true love really lives inwardly and not on the outside, right…??
When your attention falls on the world and you start basing your individual happiness on the person, on the family, on the material things, on the situations, then your mind becomes enslaved, your animal nature holds you captive, and your life falls under the rule of fear and your massive ego. And that is exactly why your attention is the most important thing to be self-aware, thus your attention drives the success or failure of your life, it drives the true joy or misery you feel.
So, remain with your attention into yourself, inwardly, because you cannot become jealous or envious of anything or anyone if your attention remains in self-love–which is true love.
“Jealousy is a disease, love is a healthy condition. The immature mind often mistakes one for the other, or assumes that the greater the love, the greater the jealousy – in fact, they are almost incompatible; one emotion hardly leaves room for the other” ~ Robert A. Heinlein; American novelist, short story writer, essayist, screenwriter, aeronautical engineer, and lieutenant junior grade USN.
Does a mature and wise person “fall in love” or becomes love…?? Isn’t there a difference…?? Doesn’t “fall in love” imply a process of blind possession or slavery where you lose all conscience for the other person…??–But is this true love though…??
As I see it, a truly mature person, a wiser individual no matter the age, sees through all this pitiful and childish nonsense, and so he does not fall in love because he deeply understands that true love is an essence of beautiful and rich freedom which expands and does not own or become slave to another. Why would you fall in love and lose reality of what love truly is…??
No, the wiser man knows what the heart of this connection we call love is, so he raises himself in love, he is love and thus fills himself and surrounds himself with this divine substance which wraps around whoever and whatever is in contact with him.
But the ignorant world has created this concept of falling in love, “falling;” as if love is a dangerous thing which bashes you on the head and you lose all conscience and freedom, you fall and you become a slave to another. And so, now you are lost because your very identity is found in this other person who “made you” fall, you are obsessed with this person, you belong to this person and this person must belong to you, so there is jealousy, fear of losing this person, and the popular and egoistical belief/a threat of a “broken heart.”
Broken heart…?? What sort of ignorant idiocy is this?! … But the heart is never broken, because love is not a thing; and because true love in reality does not emanate from your heart muscle. You may feel your heart beat fast, but that is just your ego/your desire making your heart go like that. Love is literally the energy inside each cell of your body; thus, when you are truly in love, beyond desire and attachment, you feel it in your whole body like beautiful and harmonious symphony which gives you warmth, clarity of mind, courage, and freedom–and not any fear or confusion whatsoever… Have you ever experienced this…??
And that is why two mature and wise persons in love help each other stay free, they become one because, even though there are two human beings now, love is an essence which penetrates all flesh and bone and so link each other by the energy inside each cell of their individual bodies. Such divine energy which is attracted to each other like a moth to a flame. There are no boundaries of matter, space or time in this deep and wonderful experience.
“Love does not claim possession, but gives freedom.” ~ Rabindranath Tagore; Bengali philosopher, short-story writer, novelist, dramatist, politician, song composer, essayist, playwright, painter, poet.
Is an expectation real in itself…?? Is an expectation an attachment to a mere mental image…?? What causes someone to expect anything and lean on that expectation…??
The human being is ruled by his psyche, thus his thoughts in time become his greatest influences, his past and future slave-drivers; and so, this causes his ego to be as powerful as he ignorantly desires, for he lives overwhelmed by these entities called thoughts, which are always trying to escape reality by imagining, expecting, desiring, reliving past miseries or joys. But it is indeed this past and future seeking which causes all illusion in man, is it not…??
Expectation, for example, is an image formed in the mind, a mere construct of a future as seen through the eyes of the thought-illusion/thought-form. An expectation then is a strong desire projected into a future, and all projections are not realities (whether possible or not); consequently, this is attachment to this particular projected image, which in most cases brings a false sense of security and joy, or anxiety and misery, for as long as the projected image is given power and full attention.
To be free is an absolute state of present awareness where you entertain your behaviors in the Now, and where the mind is filled with love for what is happening around you instead of being filled with anxiety and the various forms of fear, pleasure and pain, which the past and the future hold.
It is extremely important to restrain ourselves from mentally roaming and living in an expectation, thus transforming ourselves into the awareness of this moment and so love and appreciate what is happening around us, whether positive or negative, seeing it as a blessing and a lesson.
“Whatever it is you’re seeking won’t come in the form you’re expecting.” ~ Haruki Murakami; Japanese writer.
Do you understand relationships…?? What is the point of honest communication…?? Do you bring freedom to your relationships…??
In human relationships the key element is honest communication, as we all know, as we all try to become better human beings in life; however, quite often one gets taken by this obsession for winning, for coming out ahead, for proving ourselves to the other, thus the ego takes over and a communication based on love and understanding vanishes. This calls for self-reflection and less pride; so, this calls for more rich silence, less talking.
The ego likes to talk and show off, defend itself and seek security; but the true heart of love is silent, wise, listens because it knows in silence there is true freedom. And what is love…?? Is it a word…?? Is it talking and arguing…?? No. True love is an essence which lives in the rich silence; in the rich silence of listening, in the rich silence of holding hands and walking together, in the rich silence of staring deeply into each other’s eyes… without a sign of ego… without trying to fix anything… without empty words all the time…
And that is exactly what one must bring into a relationship, into an honest communication with another, such freedom to liberate the mind of another and make them feel valued, appreciated to allow themselves to be heard by us, to express themselves freely and without any contention or threat.
This is love and understanding, to show true care in what someone else thinks and feels; because sometimes talking is of the ego and vanity itself, because sometimes to be quiet and listen is to guide our relationships into new, vaster horizons.
“Much talking is the cause of danger. Silence is the means of avoiding misfortune. The talkative parrot is shut up in a cage. Other birds, without speech, fly freely about.” ~ Saskya Pandita; Tibetan spiritual leader, Buddhist scholar, and writer.
