Even with our loved ones. We cannot truly love if we do not love being alone with ourselves without anxiety. Without envying the love in others. Without resulting to desperation to possess others.
It is the whole point in my book, “I Always Loved You – Creatures of Eternal Love.” And it is also something I have very clear. Attachment is just a desire born from a lack of self-love.
Attachment is the need to belong and to possess, thus stealing the freedom from someone else and from ourselves. You might say ‘easier said than done.” But unless our minds agree to actually change, our behaviors will be the same always. It has to be about self-development, self-improvement.
No scriptures. No prayers to your imagination in the skies. No hoping for a miracle. You must realize your potential and rise up to the challenge. Believing in yourself is to direct your attention inwardly, where you find confidence and knowledge of self.
Nothing is going to help you succeed, be saved, become a better human creature, unless you reach inside you. Deny the voices in your head, those egoistical and ignorant voices that tell you to seek help outside yourself–i.e., in scriptures, in religions, in other people, in beliefs and theories of the pitiful masses.
True and powerful confidence comes from an absolute belief in yourself. And this is my own experience after years of personal struggle. I had to learn that success is really in how you feel about your own life. Because success is inner and not outer.
Being in a good mood is being positive, even in the face of something you do not like. Being in a good mood means to focus on the positive side of your life. Being in a good mood is to choose inspiring conversations and ignoring mediocre ones which do not serve you.
Being in a good mood is to give your time to people and situations in life without letting your mind be affected by any toxicity. And to be in a good mood you must keep your mind fit, healthy, truthful; and without self-deceit and self-neglect.
To be in a good mood watch entertaining and inspiring movies which give you better mental vibrations. To be in a good mood choose good music as well. And to keep yourself in a good mood develop greater habits daily, inspiring and creative habits which strengthen your unique character.
Is inspiration something that bashes you on the head suddenly…?? Is inspiration something which is only reserved for the highly creative…??
Step out of the cage and create inspiration!
If you look at the world through people’s “logic” and beliefs, something is missing in their everyday lives–they make mistake after mistake, they do not take responsibility for their own actions, they seem to ignore what love and truth really are, they hate their jobs, etc… Why is that…?? Is it because they lack inspiration to see and understand even their own lives…??
The artist waits for inspiration to hit him because throughout the ages society and all philosophies have told him that inspiration is a divine magic which comes to him from above, from somewhere he is not. And this ignorant knowledge has gotten out and filled the minds of all of us, so inspiration has become a wealthy trait, something miraculous, something which not everybody can access. Doesn’t seem fair, does it…?? I mean we all have to create in our lives, we all must fix our personal problems, we all struggle to find success in whatever we do, we all need a little inspiration daily, right…??
It is the waiting that which distances people. The waiting is killing us. No. Why would you wait for inspiration when you must look inside you for inspiration, like you must look inside you for love and happiness. Step out of your own mechanical thinking and inspire yourself! Step out of the cage and create inspiration! You must be proactive and creative, because these are traits we all have; and you find them step by step: Write down ideas, think about past memories, connect to how you really feel, begin to work out the simple and easy things, and so on… As an artist, I say that I never wait for inspiration, I am inspiration; so I begin to write something simple, I draw something simple, I see my feelings… and, Voila!: There it is..
Step out of the cage and create inspiration!
“Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.” ~ Swami Sivananda.
“Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don’t let anyone limit your dreams.” ~ Donovan Bailey; Jamaican-Canadian sprinter.
“Remember your dreams and fight for them. You must know what you want from life. There is just one thing that makes your dream become impossible: the fear of failure.” ~ Paulo Coelho; Brazilian lyricist and novelist.
Each creation has its purpose in life, each creature has its responsibilities and duties, and as a human being endowed with high levels of self-awareness you have yours. Your task then is to elevate yourself, to learn about yourself, to create your own path in this world, and to awaken to higher understanding; because true and constant happiness only is experienced by the ones who know and accept this, the ones who are willing to learn from life and keep their dreams, their goals, sacred.
You must focus and visualize your future, enjoy each moment, and be curious about life and about your own existence; therefore, inquire within yourself and find you inner strengths, your talents, your gifts, and the things in your heart that your ego tells you that you cannot do, the important things, the things that really matter to you, do them.
The first step to visualize is to delve deep into your heart, block the negativity and those thoughts from your mind, and within your passions and inspirations you will create the perfect image. Keep that image sacred and think about it every day, plan strategies and create a path to get there, but be patient when you do this. Remember, whatever comes easy and fast in life, is not great, it is just fleeting pleasure; but whatever takes time and energy, faith and endurance from you, it is great and of long-lasting result.
The worst mistake is to listen to your mind, to your ego, because that is where fear lives; so, just follow your heart and be patient, respect the process, respect people and yourself, but be consistent, faithful to your cause.
Acknowledge the people that stand beside you, that support you, and be an example to them and to whomever needs a helping hand; but never stop or deviate from your goals and dreams for anybody, because if people care about you they will respect you and your dreams, and if people do not care about you and your dreams, then, why would you allow those people, whoever they are, to distract you from your dreams…??
So, remind yourself that the first thing in life as a divine being is self-love, to love yourself enough to understand your role in this life and to know that you matter. Do not deviate attention from you. Help others with your example.
“Discard everything that does not spark joy.” ~ Marie Kondo; Japanese organizing consultant and author.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” ~ Steve Jobs; American entrepreneur, business magnate, inventor, and industrial designer.
People are either of ordinary thinking or of a higher thinking, good, loving people even:
Ordinary thinking ones will always feel jealous of others, perhaps without realizing it, and live in fear, because they cannot understand that life changes by the mind one has, so they believe that life changes due to external conditions–economy, neighborhood, president, and so forth.
Higher or extraordinary thinking ones will always see life with a positive outlook because that is their character, and even though they may be poor or unsuccessful in their own lives they will support and wish well for others.
One may be born in a family of ordinary thinking, in an atmosphere of emotional neglect and fear-mongering; however, your mind is what truly changes your life and not your external conditions or surroundings, so in order to follow your dreams uninterruptedly you must focus in you internal environment, and whenever you hear negative or mediocre talk in your external environment make sure your attention remains within and not without.
Small minds, ordinary thinking, are there to challenge you, to make you stronger; so, even though these small minds do not realize it, they are a source of strength for you, and as long as you have this in mind you will grow and your mind will achieve great things.
A great mind then will drive you forth by creating really strong and intense feelings within you that will mold your behaviors to design your better reality and access the wiser you. The purpose of a great mind is to raise above the mediocrity and self-pity we may all feel at some point in our individual lives, and also it is to shut out all the noise and opinions of the people around you, such people who may be your loves ones or society in general.
Stop waiting for approval or for the support of others, take charge of your life and become the Master of your life; and the Master always stands out from the crowd by making his own rules, by creating his own path, by not giving in to self-pity and pressures from outside himself, and by not following or leaning on others for the design of his life. The Master knows that the path is the Warrior’s individual design, by molding his thoughts, by not letting small minds interfere with his vision, by embracing his greater destiny the Master becomes the Greatest Sage.
The key here is patience and perseverance while you allow your attention to focus on your internal environment and not on your external one…
“We humans have lost the wisdom of genuinely resting and relaxing. We worry too much. We don’t allow our bodies to heal, and we don’t allow our minds and hearts to heal.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh; Vietnamese Buddhist monk and peace activist.
” From the passions arise worry, and from worry arises fear. Away with the passions, and no fear, no worry.” ~ Buddha.
Worry is another delusion which spreads sickness into the body, its power if allowed robs you of the joy of the present moment; consequently, it weakens you into thinking that you are progressing or better preparing yourself for whatever the future holds in this process of worry, but all it does is bring more suffering to your body and designing non-existing images in your mind. This is full-blown ego.
In those moments of worry and anxiety, redirect your mind to the present moment by doing something which can occupy your mind, perhaps art or entertainment as examples; for if the mind is occupied on the present moment, on what is actually happening, then there is no room for worry.
“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure (free of worry in this case), joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.” ~ Buddha.
“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” ~ Leonardo da Vinci.
“You wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weighs you down.” ~ American novelist, editor, teacher, and professor emerita at Princeton University.
Breath of Life
There is a place far into the essence of your heart, The one where the real you and love lie never apart, The one where the world of form and opinion dies, Where truth is absolute and you can reach the skies.
When the world is foolish and chaotic the Breath rises, When you are tired and full of compromises; For the Breath of Life is always there on fire, Just follow your dreams and what you admire.
Corruption and illness breeds in the illusion, The common man celebrates the pollution, They lack truth and love to create beauty, But the wise man by self-love knows his duty.
There is no bliss if you stay chained to a thought, There is no human expression that can be taught; One must dare to fly, soar high above the clouds, One must care about oneself and not the crowds.
“There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche.
You brought the madness
Concealed underneath the illness of the sane, Chains of the dull society broken in twain, The divine magic of eternal hidden forces, The explosion of bliss within my vein courses.
She is the madness and brings the trust, I the madness of love as the ocean vast; Real emotions as the two souls merge, Of spiritual attraction we are on the verge.
She was red as passion and blood of life, I was lost in the tempest of my own strife; There were signs which I ignored in my path, There were moments for me in blind wrath.
Soon there came illumination from her divinity, I felt peace, freedom, a profound love affinity; My spirit did soar free as we felt the love so true, Heaven was the feel in my heart because of you.
“Work hard for what you want because it won’t come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive.” ~ Leah LaBelle; Canadian-American singer.
“Character is higher than intellect. A great soul will be strong to live as well as think.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson; American essayist, lecturer, and poet.
I think that we all must remember that we are here, in this very moment, reading this and trying to better further our own lives, for a mighty reason; whatever was in your past, extremely traumatizing or just painful, shaped you into who you are today, and maybe you do not notice but you have become a little stronger and this is why you are here, perhaps still lost in your way or perhaps really strong in your way, but here nonetheless.
I know that life tests us, it tests our determination and inner strength, to make us stronger, to prepare us for what lies ahead in our lives. I personally take two or three minutes as a habit every night before falling asleep to remember my past and the people and events part of my past, I remind myself that all the people that injured me emotionally and mentally were sent to my life at that particular time for a divine reason.
That reason might not seem obvious to you at the moment, but if you are like me you will stop and analyze carefully all your past encounters with a smile upon your face, while reminding yourself that you are what you choose to be; therefore, whatever you have experienced in your hard past, you can choose if you still suffer that past or let it make you stronger, you can choose if you allow frustration to overtake your mind or if you allow acceptance to give you peace and self-love.
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” ~ Khalil Gibran; Lebanese writer, poet, and visual artist.
“Scars show toughness: that you’ve been through it, and you’re still standing.” ~ Theo Rossi; American actor and producer.
Human beings by nature are born to face all challenges and difficulties, the power or strength lies inside, we need only embrace it; however, the ego grows by influence, the mortal mind gets influenced from a crooked and asleep society, and so we grow up programmed like robots, blind to the reality we carry within us.
We all face challenges and develop scars, mental and emotional scars which may trick us into fear and embarrassment. These scars are just reminders of what we lived, they are neutral, not good or bad; but the mind/the ego chooses to suffer the scars or hold the scars proudly; thus, it is not the scars, it is not the memories that are hurting us, but the choices in our minds.
However we choose to see our scars, the reality is that we have scars for a mighty reason; you have survived whatever happened in your past. The wise sage holds his scars proudly and learns from them. The fool hides the scars and cries about them, never learning from them. Choose who you are.
If you are truly awakened to this, you have to know that you are never lonely in your path of life; for you are the heart of humanity itself, you carry knowledge from ancient times which lives in you, and which you can remember by holding your scars proudly and sensing the inner strength of your being. This is the wisdom discovered by alchemical methods and passed on from wise man to wise man, from awakened man to awakened man, since the dawn of time.
Always remind yourself then that you are not broken, that by ancient process you are strengthened, that by holding your scars proudly you can do anything.
