A better direction in life.

Life is about creating yourself. Having said that, many of us get used to something, even if it is not giving us good results, and we stay there and continue on that path. But sometimes a new scenery, a change in habits, a new lifestyle is needed to create something better in our lives. Sometimes a particular relationship is too much drama, fights, arguments, trying hard to be happy; and for that reason I must leave it and follow my own path.

Or oftentimes the way I behave, the daily habits I have are not giving me the results in life that I want; and thus I must change those habits, healthier, wiser, more mature habits. We are meant to progress, to discover love and happiness in ourselves; however, this discovery requires change, it requires that we leave behind what is not truly working for us and so begin a new path. This means that we must let go of the comfort and really seek our progress and health in life.

This also means to reinvent yourself, to stop getting attached to the old way of doing things, and thus start a new chapter in your life and something which is better for you. Life is what we make of it. Life is not about others, but about you. So, if you need to leave others, leave a particular system, leave culture and tradition, then do it with a second thought. If you think too much you’ll lose the courage, the confidence to start a new path.

And for the ones among us who enjoy a good fantasy story, I remind you of Michael Vega’s amazing story. Only on Kindle Vella. The first 3 chapters are for free. Then you can buy each episode, or the whole story.

A  story  of  heaven,  hell,  and  cosmic  punishment.

This  story  is  about  a  rebellious  young  man,  Michael  Vega,  who  gets  into  trouble,  ends  up  in  prison,  and  then  dies.

But  this  particular  story  begins  when  he  comes  back  from  hell.  He  escapes.  Perhaps  he  comes  back  for  love.  Maybe  for  rebellion.

But,  even  though  you  will  encounter  themes  like  heaven,  hell,  and  aliens,  my  real  intention  here  is  to  help  us  ponder  this  life,  Creation,  and  the  resurrection  of  each  one  of  us  in  our  life’s  journey.

Grow together. Learn together.

Keeping things inside you in relationships, or being emotionally closed. Pretending, just to keep the peace and not argue. Being impulsive in conversations and letting your frustration take over. This all can lead to secrets, to lies, to misbehaving, to lose trust and connection. Communicating is all about being honest with each other. This means finding the right way to say something and sharing your opinion in a respectful way. This can be challenging when you don’t agree on something.

But not agreeing on something can be healthy, because it means you have the chance to learn a new perspective. Learning a new perspective can help you understand in a more profound way the other person. That is the key to successful relationships, to learn from each other, to grow as individuals and as a team. So, you acknowledge his/her point of view, leave your ego, leave your pride, and try to get closer to the way of thinking and feeling of the other person.

With respect, patiently, and without being impulsive or reactive then your relationship grows. Any relationship. This is the challenge for the one passionate enough to truly love another. And having passion, in a mature relationship, means to find the proper way to nurture that relationship for you and your partner; so you both can grow together, learn together, even if you have different opinions and points of view.

A little bit from I ALWAYS LOVED YOU – Creatures of Eternal Love” – A book about true love and successful relationships.

Love  is  not  anger,  and  has  nothing  to  do  with  anger.  Love  is  not  possessive  or  controlling,  and  it  has  nothing  to  do  with  that.  Love  is  not  envious  or  jealous,  no  matter  what  you  tell  yourself.  Love  seeks  not  to  win  arguments,  because  love  knows  no  competition...

Love  is  eternally  truthful,  because  it  has  nothing  to  do  with  lies.  Love  is  beyond  romance,  friendship  and  all  other  labels;  for  love  is  the  energy  which  connects  even  the  murderer  to  the  saint.  A  love  like  this  truly  beautifies  life...”

CHAPTER 1The Darkness Inside

“Shadow sped up on the highland. He was running really fast, as only a creature of magic could. He was chasing and looking for someone. He was worried, overwhelmed, energetic. He carried heavy feelings. He wasn’t just a shadow, but he had a direct link to Ben…

” It was like being inside Ben’s skin, knowing his thoughts, his feelings of joy, of fear. They were one and the same. And right now, Shadow knew how Ben felt. But this was confusing, demanding, even scary for him. Shadow was just getting used to his individuality and freedom. All these thoughts, emotions, ways of thinking, ways of perceiving the world. All this was new to him, because, before the magic, Ben did everything for him…

“He was just his shadow before, and that was it. The magic was growing now, and he loved it. But right now, he wasn’t happy. Not at all. He was feeling the pain Ben felt. And as he stopped at the top of the hill, he became aware of this psychological and emotional pain. He fell on his knees and shrank on the ground. He rolled over a few times on the short grass underneath him…

“He  had  never  experienced  this  pain,  which  wasn’t  that  terrible  really;  however,  he  was  like  a  little  kid  experiencing  deep  anger,  impotence,  and  frustration  for  the  first  time.  “Oh,  the  agony.  What  is  this??  Stop  this  Ben.  Stop  it!  Stop  it!  Stop  it!,”  he  muttered  to  himself…

“He  held  his  chest  tightly  and  rolled  around  while  moaning  upsettingly.  He  was  getting  acquainted  with  the  pain  he  felt.  He  knew  that  this  was  what  all  sentient  beings  felt,  that  this  was  “normal”  for  them.  But  he  still  didn’t  want  it…

“The  sun  was  directly  on  him.  The  skies  were  clear.  Fresh  winds  blew  from  the  east.  Now  Adit  stood  above  him,  and  with  his  rooted  feet  stopped  him  from  his  childish  caper.  He  glared  at  him  while  covering  the  sun.  “What  are  you  doing…??  I  thought  you  were  looking  for  him,”  he  said.

Sea Nymph

Sooner or later even the fastest runners have to stand and fight.

~ Stephen King

A little of my current work. High fantasy/Fantasy/Mystery novel. BENJAMIN JONES. The series.

“The Book of 1st Witchcraft.” #3 in the epic series.

This is from Chapter 22 –

‘The Sea Nymph’

“Like sacks of rocks dumped into the ocean, one by one, one after the other, the enchanted demons kept rushing down, falling to their unavoidable demise. Lord Furvusmortem saw this, and then also saw the dozens of sirens alluring them. And from rocks and even from the water, the sirens noticed his presence in the high peaks as well. There was one among the sirens who seemed to be their leader…

“Perhaps their queen. Maybe mother to all of them. She wore a crown and golden fish scales on the lower half of her body. And the lord of all obscurity locked eyes with her, because he understood what she was doing. He hadn’t thought she would dare cross him, but he was now losing hundreds of demons because of her…

“Sirens were notoriously rebellious, united as sisters, and also worked alone. They would allow no male creature to give them orders, but in this war they had taken sides with the gods. Formidable allies, as they were rulers of the seas. And so then, it happened that he floated to her; and a cloud or gas formation seemed to be carrying him down, or perhaps the air currents were forming tight pockets around him…

“And his speed was slow, but then it increased; and thus it became more and more threatening. And it occurred in a flash, or in the quickest wink of an eye; for he fleeted, and he came to her with disgust and arrogance. And he stopped just a few feet from her, then stepped on the water, and took another step towards the queen siren resting on a rock formation near the coastline…

“But he was really walking on the surface of the water, since she was sitting on a short sea stump. He halted pace, looked into her eyes, then coolly demanded, “Stop this now, and I will spare your lives.”…”She looked at him with disgust and disapproval, then replied, “Careful now. These are my waters. I rule here.”…

“He remained quiet and looked around him. His demons falling, being lured into death; for the ones who fell on the water, and did not die instantly, were soon killed by the overwhelming beauty of the sirens. Then he turned back and said to her, “You have made your choice, siren. Now I have made mine as well.”…

“Then he waited to see her eyes. He was looking for fear in them, but there was none. She locked eyes with him. She was a leader, a queen, a sister, and a mother to her sirens; so she met him at his level, and so stood her ground. But, he was arrogant, and immoral, and violent; so he quickly grabbed her throat, and squeezed, and sought to bring fear and chaos into her mind…

“But, even so, she remained dignified and still. And all around her, it was so that many sirens had caught sight of this; and so, they were about to intervene, but she waved her hand and they all refrained from doing so. While the creatures of darkness kept blindly falling to their demise, the waters became agitated because the queen was also now agitated…”

Hope you enjoyed that. Currently working on the painting for the cover of the book also. Follow me to stay up-to-date on the story’s progress. Thanks for reading.

Fasting vs Intermittent Fasting

This is about fasting. About denying your body and mind of the energy it needs just to satisfy your ego and think that you are being saintly by enacting this atrocity. But this is not religious in any way. I don’t have any beliefs. As most important in my life, I take very serious the topics of taking care of my mind and body. So, this blogpost or writing here is about how fasting affects you, your body and mind, and the truth about fasting in general.

And when fasting to lose weight, it is even worse for the immune system. It attracts illnesses. And fasting increases fat retention, because it makes the mind more anxious and hungry; thus tissues weaker and unable to absorb fats in a proper manner. I used to fast for 2 days, 3 days, a week, even more. Fasting is not healthy in any way. The belief, thought, and tradition of fasting come from the old days. In the old days, tradition, religion taught that denying your mind and body of food is a form of righteousness, a way to become connected to the suffering of others. Nonsense, of course.

Fasting is a way, a very selfish way, to pat yourself in the back and create this illusion that you are a good person; but, in reality, it does nothing for the poor or suffering people around the world. Fasting is just another belief, which you might consider as a great belief; however, not a belief that actually helps people. The only fasting that helps is if someone saves the money from those meals they don’t eat while fasting, and then unselfishly give that money to the poor for their meals. But no one does this, so fasting is just another illusion, another deception religion has created and planted in the subconscious of the ignorant masses. I know because I was one of these, and I have awakened myself to the truth.

Increasing intelligence, growing in understanding, keeping myself healthy is the most important thing in life for me.

After years of seeking ways to improve my cognition and understanding, I found intermittent fasting. I do not eat in the morning. I leave the whole morning for my stomach to wash itself from the prior night’s meal. This time also serves for my immune system to increase strength, to become more capable of bringing healing to my body’s tissues. By intermittent fasting, I not only help my body absorb and use fats more properly to become stronger and leaner, but I also increase my brain’s capacity for intelligence by giving my nervous tissues the proper time and energy to store the right nutrients. This type of fasting does not weaken my body, because it is only in the morning that I do not eat, not for days and days as the common, religious fasting. Most importantly, this fasting does not create false beliefs and illusions in me of being saintly.

My experience with moving on

“The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence; the past is a place of learning, not a place of living.”

― Roy T. Bennett

Lately I’ve been thinking about my twin baby sisters, which died before birth due to complications with contractions and the umbilical cord. Don’t really want to bring it up with my mom, in case there is still some painful memories in her. But, questions still linger in me: What would they look like today?? Would they be religious like my mother or in the path of awakening and self-discovery like me?? Interesting how things happen in life, and that everything happens for a reason.

If they were alive today, and so was my brother and father, how different life would be for me. How evolution takes its course in the direction set by each change, and so life takes shape. The main thing is to be grateful of how things are, however the situation might be currently. We evolve, take certain paths, and we have the opportunity to learn as well. I wouldn’t be who I am today if things were different. I learn from the pain. I either evolve from it or not. But absorbing the lessons in my life is always up to me. Remaining stuck to my past does not help me build my life and move forward.

One must acknowledge first that life is now, and that from being totally present now, then we can successfully evolve. Because we all carry burdens, pain, things which were tragic for us; but the real key to love and happiness is creating new experiences, and to do this we require courage. Now, courage, being brave, even strong willingness to move on, does not exist if we remain attached to the past. The past, the hurt, the things lived. These are there to make us stronger, to allow us to become better, to learn and move on. Stepping stones, and not burdens to stop us from creating a better future.

Reading time. Because as a lover of knowledge and expansion of mind, I live it very strongly. Great reading for you:

My experience with meditation

In my own experience with meditation. Take it easy. Don’t rush into an outcome. Don’t expect great results fast. The main things are commitment, persistency, patience. These are a must if we are serious about meditation. Now, this is about the kind of meditation where you focus on your breath and in time you increase you’re awareness. Many people sit on a chair, peacefully; and for them this is meditation. I respect that. But that is not what this post is about. For me, meditation is all about increasing self-awareness, creativity and cognition, and also easier detachment from all suffering–like anger, frustration, the thought of death, society’s influence, etc.

So, meditating. When I started, more than 10 years ago, this was very difficult for me. I had rage issues and became really anxious and bothered when I first started to feel the deep silence of meditation. Thoughts and feelings which had been buried deep inside had started to come out, and this was very disturbing, it was hard for me to face them. Once you truly meditate, your thoughts will rush. Your innermost troubles and burdens. In my case, this really irritated me–physically, psychologically, emotionally. But I stuck with it through the years and saw myself awakening, I witnessed my creativity improving, and my understanding of myself and my own faults mainly became clear and undeniable. This made me change and become superior to the person I was.

But, let me be honest here, meditation is not a quick fix, or a cure-all, not in any sense; and whoever tells you it is, might be because they’re trying to sell you something. One thing to have in mind though, you will see improvement if done right; however, not judging here, but you must understand that many people frustrate themselves because they do not do it right. It’s all about your slow breathing. Focus on it. Because breathing is what connects the state of physical life to the state of physical death, so to master your breathing in meditation gives you greater access to wisdom to understand both states of existence. If you deviate and become distracted, come back to it. Come back to your breath as many times as you become aware. This is practicing awareness, when you come back to your breathing. Meditation is not about becoming perfect or doing the practice perfectly; but about committing and not quitting, it requires inner strength and focus. So, never quit. Keep going.

And, of course, let’s nourish our brain cells and stay bookish. I’m an advocate for good reading. So, check out these promos:

Punishment and Cosmic Law

“The Loose Damned” is a story of the meaning of life, death, and the unknown.

On this Monday 8/16, a new episode of “The Loose Damned” coming to Kindle Vella.  Story is coming to a conclusion.

Short excerpt.  Chapter 14.

Titled:  “Punishment & Cosmic Law.”

“…Mike and Jenny were holding hands, because it was finally over and their love was stronger now after living this ordeal.  They also looked at peace, because they both could feel why the creature had come and why things were happening the way they were happening…

“The demon had been sent to bring order to the chaos the rogue and psychotic Reaper had created.  He’d broken rules and acted on his own.  Reaper had followed his own thirst for chaos and revenge.  He had broken the trust of those who had made him the Reaper in the first place…

“The Reaper deals with death.  The Reaper is supposed to balance life, keep evolution as sacred as it is, and maintain the cosmic order in connection to Planet Earth.  A life exits this physicality, a life is born in this physicality.  The old goes out, the new comes in.  This is the way of the cosmos.  This is balance.  But this new Reaper had followed his own selfish desires instead of the established Cosmic Law…”

A cosmic punishment

This week a new episode of my short story, “The Loose Damned,” is live on Amazon’s Kindle Vella for fantasy/sci-fi lovers. You won’t want to miss this one. Keep reading to find out why…

It is a story of cosmic proportions. A story about forces of good and evil. A story about rebelliousness, righting wrongs, love, and cosmic punishment.

Michael Vega (Mike) has escaped from hell, and he has broken the space-time rip which shouldn’t be broken doing so. But, unbeknownst to him, the new appointed Reaper and his Hell Snatchers are in close pursuit…

But is Reaper carrying his own twisted motives…?? Haunted by his human memories, Reaper is prone to his own selfishness, his own egomania; and he has a past, a very dark and troubled past…

And what will The Cosmic Council do about about this?? Will they send The demon of Pestilence and Disease to punish and balance whoever threatens the cosmic balance??

Below, a short excerpt of chapter 13.

Titled: “Demon of Pestilence and Disease

“…It was a threatening and ghastly creature. A specter floating tree level, with what seemed to be tattered clothing or skin, and with an obscure aura about him. He appeared fully materialized, bodily present; however, at times he would sway a little side to side and thus look like a hologram leaving projection in the night’s air. He had a face, a tortured, miserable, non-human looking semblance…

“Extremely small, flying beetles and flies were about him and his aura, and these carried a bluish luminescence of their own. This was the infernal demon of pestilence and disease, and he was a bringer of castigations to the guilty. The guilty was sentenced by The Council of The Unseen. The Council of The Unseen had been established, since mankind’s dawn, by the race of The Celestials. The mysterious stranger belonged to this unknown council and extraterrestrial race…

“No one was moving. No one dared move. They all knew right away. Not with exact detail. But they all sensed his origin, and this brought them chills. See, the one called Reaper, Mike and Jenny, were connected. They were, or had been once, humans entirely. And they were linked to each other by a ‘strange deformity’ in their DNA. Human doctors had called it a ‘congenital disease.’”…

A better life

It is true that we are One, in the sense that we are all going through suffering and an inner struggle to find value in this life. We are here, alive, with our flaws, with our past mistakes and current burdens because we must learn as we experience our journeys here. And to see and understand this, and to take it to behavior, is wisdom. That is why to help somebody else, or to motivate somebody else, is to do the same for ourselves. Because inspiring others makes us feel better about our own worth as human beings. Inspiring others also connects us, it opens possibilities to become even better in other aspects of life and to influence others further. Doing this creates self-confidence, and self-confidence is indeed required to grow in life in any aspect.

A life well lived is a life where you feel value within you, where you feel love, compassion, truth, and confidence in your own humanity. Your humanity is your innermost. Your humanity is your essence and what makes you connected to others. It is what gives you that compassion, that love, that link to their suffering and to whatever they are experiencing. This is the value we all seek, but that many bury under heavy layers of ego and pride. Now, to truly look within yourself and awaken is to see past your ego and pride. In order to better your life, as that of others with your example, you must understand that your ego and pride are enemies, that these are not helping you but blinding you from the truth and from making your life better.

And only on KINDLE VELLA:

And don’t forget to read the epic journey of Michael Vega. The epic account of what happened this young man one year after he died. This is his journey after coming back from the beyond. And he is being hunted by dark creatures from hell.
