Close your lovely eyes, look at the rainbow, Beautiful and cosmic colors–how do they grow…?? Left to right, colors of rebirth and peace, Low to high, where all fear did cease.
The flowers bloom and the rainbow heals, Warm sensation of nurture my body feels; The eternal ether of love be the sensation, Our deep love of no distance the emanation.
Through meditation the soul is free to be, Profound love within us as vast as the sea; For true expression is the colors in you found, For true love in the universe is the Cosmic Sound.
You and I were buried in tender harmony, That day of fate so wonderful in history; The Cosmic Law was of one and the same, Mental heights, mutual growth it became.
The positive and the negative. That’s what we are. One split into two, because we are here to learn to balance what we love with what we fear.
The 2 forces
We are not what we think.
We are not what we feel.
We are indeed what we do.
We are our chosen habits.
We are beyond thoughts,
For we create by action.
We are beyond impulses,
For we can see consequence.
A human being is conscious.
A human being must be aware.
We must not drown in opposites.
We must balance the 2 forces.
A flower blossoming freely.
The sky above us blue and clear.
Birds singing in a meadow.
A mind liberated from anxiety.
Love is not a romantic thought in the mind.
Love is not a desire to possess or own.
Love is what is left when there are no words.
Love is what dwells only in the pure heart.
And of love I know because I live in joy.
And of joy I know because I'm in love.
Because it is what resides deeply in me.
Because it is what love means to me.
In need of a wake up call…?? In need of some inspiration and understanding??
This is a poetry review for “Need of a change,” a book by Rita Rana.
We all seek inspiration, maybe something which can guide us or wake up our inner moral compass. I know I do. This life can be deceitful, or, better put, our minds can lead us into something negative, depression, worthlessness, wrong choices, etc. By our minds I mean our egos. This poetry book is just about this. It is simple, yet very deep. I would say it is very honest about what sometimes people seem to forget. It reminds us of the right path to follow, and I think the author means to share her own life with us by connecting through her poetry.
It is not about her life per se, but the author uses an emotional tone we can all find relevant. Each poem is designed to paint a mental picture and help you think about your own life and where this one is going, in order for you to wake up and see what you must do to change for the better. All love and happiness is an inner work, and an inner success. Personally, I find this the message. It reminded me of the important things that must come first in my life. I could even add that it took me on a journey of self-discovery, because self-discovery never ends as long as you are alive; and so, books like this one can help you enormously in your journey.
So, to finalize, I really recommend this book. If you are like me, into self-development and inspiration to become a better human being, then this is definitely a poetry book worth both your time and money.
I GIVE THIS ONE 4 STARS OUT OF 5.

REVIEW OF MY BOOKS:“I really loved the depth of your approach, specially because sometimes I struggle with low self-esteem and that gets into my relationship with my new wife. Thanks for helping us become aware of all these things. Much love to you and yours.”
REVIEW OF MY BOOKS:“It allowed me to see another explanation of love..with a touch of humor i was able to find a sensible place to kick back to enjoy knowing I have always been Loved!! YOUR advice is like finding a treasure. Thank you so much sharing!”
This is a poetry review. I chose to read this one because it brings a new side of life. I do not smoke. I do not drink. I do not choose to see the tragedy in life. And yet, this work of poetry is very moving, and it expands my mind into understanding other aspects. You can find love, relationships, the emotional roller coaster in the poet’s life. There is a hint of depression and addiction here. It is a mixture of emotions and each line explains the essence of anxiety, joy, sadness, lost love, memories.
I give this one 4 stars out of 5.
I really think life is a tragedy, a theater of our making, a myriad of our most intimate experiences and inner dialogues (or daily self-talk). And I think the poet tries to bare his experiences, raw and very intimate; thus desires to share that with you. These experiences may elevate you, or give you a deeper insight into life. I truly recommend these personal thoughts to you. Personally, I’ll be reading this again and expanding my understanding into this phenomena roller coaster we call life.
Straight from the poet’s mind:
My name is Tyler R. Martin I’m am a veteran having served in the US Army and now a published poet living in New York. My poetry attempts to put life under a microscope revealing the good the bad and the horrible. I spend my days chain smoking and drinking bourbon. Enjoy my work!

So, love is not what you think, or what you feel, as nice as these can be for you. When you say “I love you,” you are really feeding your own ego, which is okay; however, you must truly understand, love cannot exist in a word, for love is an action, today, now, even if you are upset. Words of “love” do not have real validity, they only satisfy your ravenous ego.
To truly love is an art that most people, even though they form relationships and satisfy each other, do not seem able to master. A desire, a passionate feel, a joyful sensation–these are manifestations of thinking, of a thought. Let me ask you, and be honest with yourself now: Do you reduce and belittle love to be just a mere satisfying thought…?? If you do, then you do not understand and experience true love, as most unconscious people do not.
“An Infinite Ocean.”
You can study me all you want,
You can mention me all you want,
You can obsess over me all you want;
But only beyond that desire you and I exist.
You must surrender yourself to it to know it.
So, if anyone asks you about the art of love, And about how to love, and about our love, Tell them that there exists no spoken love, That our love is not how the flower looks, That our love is not what your mind knows.
And if you wonder why the sky is so blue today, Or why our attraction is so mystically powerful, Or why you feel this way and you cannot hide it, Then stop your mind and kiss me on the lips; For to love me is to love you without thought.
We loved each other long before this thought. We knew each other long before this poem. Love is an infinite ocean which exists in us, The rest is just an unreal agony muddying it; So, you and I are the ocean without the agony.
Love is not man-made or a design of thought, but we must nurture it in our minds as well; and so in order to become understanding and experience its divine essence, its divine origins. To truly love ourselves, and another as well.
The intellect is ruled by concepts, philosophies, beliefs, opinions; therefore, all may form obsessions, stubbornness, goals. This can be good or bad for the evolution of our humanity; but it can certainly never be true love, for the intellect cannot know true love.
So, our minds must see beyond the intellect, beyond personal egos, to actually allow access to true love, to true connection from The Divine into the crudeness of our humanity, into the crudeness of our minds.
From there, it is all a question of keeping the intellect away from love.
“The Mind of Love“
O, the Mind of Love is gone from man! Its divine grace and magic trampled. How do I fly to the heights of heaven When the intellect has stolen my wings …?? Just know the Father in God is wisdom, And know the Mother in God is true love; Both must be One Soul of Light in me, As my being becomes freedom’s dove.
To rend a hundred veils and just be, To do away with society and the world, To acquire liberation from goals of “I”– This is The Mind of Love of the lovers. Within a silent mind, beyond petty time; Within a simple gaze, the whole universe: It is how The Mind of Love exists truly, It is how our lives remain a poetic verse.
Love is not a word. Truth is not philosophy. They are higher principles which must be lived if one is to truly be awaken and understand one’s own life and the world. Principles must penetrate your whole body and become your everyday behavior, your purpose to live daily; but, not just for the sake of the superior human being within you, not just to embrace divinity, but also to guide the lives of others with the example of true awakening. This is true love.
“Principles.“
Out of vain drunkards spit words of law, An elegant but dry philosophy from them; For no one applies what their lips say, For no one behaves in such a way.
The sanity has dwindled greatly thus, And the people has fallen from Grace; Morals are neglected, utterly denied, Ethics are banished, not even tried.
The punishment is severe, indeed unjust; Consciousness has been buried long ago. Does anybody rules himself on principles….?? Do you know the substance of miracles…??
Once the truth is upon a mind which sees, It cannot just be verbalized and forgotten; For love and truth are actions you live, As every day you feel your heart beat.
The path to awaken from the slumber of thousands of years is not to fill the mind with knowledge and the experience of others, but it is the transition or passage from living in your mind to becoming acquainted with your emotional body. The body has intelligence, but the mind is only a bundle of memories without intelligence–it is the past and also the imagination of a future. To live in the head is what most people do in the world today, and as a result the same world is chaos–i.e., wars, religious and political division, intolerance, no comprehension of what love really is, etc. etc.
To see this in oneself and change! Change without a second thought or stubbornness. Change without blaming others. This is moving from your head/from your ego to your body/to your pure emotional content. And greater empathy and understanding shall fill your whole being then…
“The transmutation most pure.”
Of the earth I was once born And to the earth I shall return; Like the seed deep in the soil, As the seed forms into a flower– But what happens in between, What occurs as my mind develops, What befalls the blooming flower…?? Under time, self-awareness every hour.
Thus an awakening of the whole human being, An elevation of the very mind I must be seeing; For the mind is the greatest challenge to endure, For Awakening is the transmutation most pure. From the head to the heart, from ego to spirit, As I carry my burdens and seek my answers, It is the manifestation of love without fear, It is the mystical path which brings cheer.
