Stress is a slow killer–killer of ideas, killer of positive attitude, killer of capacity for joy, killer of all health and good manners. If you have trouble sleeping, if your mind has problems shutting down and relaxing, then check your levels of stress. Personally, I have experience when it comes to stress and anxiety, which is why I started meditation years ago.

It really is that serious. You want to enjoy your life and what you do in it. That is the whole purpose of being alive. So, learn to manage your stress; because, I know, quite often, one may not see one’s stress as a critical life issue. Stress, undiscovered or not acknowledged, leads to many other psychological and physiological issues; and it changes your genes–the content and information of your actual DNA.

What it means…

What love means to me

A flower blossoming freely.
The sky above us blue and clear.
Birds singing in a meadow.
A mind liberated from anxiety.

Love is not a romantic thought in the mind.
Love is not a desire to possess or own.
Love is what is left when there are no words.
Love is what dwells only in the pure heart.

And of love I know because I live in joy.
And of joy I know because I'm in love.
Because it is what resides deeply in me.
Because it is what love means to me.

Enjoy it now

Life can be complicated. One might live with confusion. What to do?? I don’t have the money I need. The deadline is coming! What choice do I make?! What did I do wrong?? And many more like this. So many of us live constantly in our heads, in our busy and anxious minds; and this is what we must realize in ourselves. Nothing matters more than realizing this in life, because in order to live and enjoy fully our moments we need to understand that love and happiness is not in the chase we do. It’s not in money, even though we live in a society and we must pay for what we consume. It’s not in seeking better education and thinking about future exams and study, even though it is important to design a good future in society.

It is now. The joy, the love, the value is now. In the things, relationships, situations you have. It is about paying attention to all this. And it doesn’t really matter if we have much or not. And it doesn’t really matter if we live in a paradise or not. And what about the kind of job we have?? It doesn’t matter either. The only thing that can get us to real joy is our own attention. Attention into what our lives are now. Find the passion, the positivity, the motivation, the purpose and value in you by always taking time to enjoy and bring positive attitude to your current situation, moment, people around you.

When my mind goes into the future, thinking about certain outcome, pondering what I could get. Or when my mind goes to the past, asking myself what went wrong, what did I do, why something failed. When this happens then, I instantly focus on getting away from this and putting all my energy in the now, in my family, in my writing, in being with my dog, in enjoying a nice day outside, etc. etc. Because it is natural that the mind will always pull us one way, making us feel anxious, chasing money, hunting for better opportunities; but it is our responsibility to shift our attention and love ourselves and our lives now. Without questioning. Without making excuses. Just live it, enjoy it now.

The opportunity

What is truly needed for joy…??

What are the obstacles to feel joy or happiness…??

Who is deserving of these…??

I hope your holidays are going well. I always think that everything is better if we remain grateful, for anything, for being alive, for our past, for our family, for whatever. Just find something inspiring. We are creatures of habit, and happiness is a habit. Yes, it is true that happiness lies within ourselves; however, you must be able to behave accordingly. For example, if you argue and distance yourself from your family or loved ones, then your mind will fill itself with anger and frustration. If this happens, then your habit is being angry and frustrated; and you can’t expect to truly be happy this way.

What about not eating properly….?? Food is very important. The way we eat. What we eat. If your habit here lacks health, then you will feel heavy, depressed, sick. Happiness, joy, energy to live the best life. They won’t appear in your experience. So, we are all deserving of a good life, of joy, of happiness; but it is not automatic, you have to develop good habits. This means living your life accordingly. I don’t have to explain further what it means. You know what is healthy and good for your life. You know what is not healthy and good for your life. I hope.

So, always remember that being happy, having the capacity to enjoy and bring that capacity to use, is about our habits; that is, habits of self-control, of compassion, of understanding without anger and frustration. “A man is what he repeatedly does. Excellence is then a habit,” said one famous Greek philosopher. I live that, because I aim to journey this life in happiness. This should be your aim as well, because life is the opportunity for us to become better and even make the life of others better by our example. Thanks for reading.

The Way of The Better Mind.

Strengthen yourself.



Be aware of what you eat and drink.  From this will develop your mind and body.  From this will develop your energy to take on your day and the strength to overcome your obstacles. 

The chemistry in your body is affected in great manner by your immune system–its healthiness or toxicity.  Life is about quality.  A great life requires great quality indeed.  Great quality is great energy from a healthy biological system.

What is your current energy level…??  How do you feel about yourself??  Can you fight illnesses??  Are you addicted to toxic foods and drinks??  It is called self-love.  It is called self-respect.  Be self-aware and prepared, specially in these times.

What is the essence, the core, the reason which makes things enjoyable…??  And I am not talking about the best things in life or the most expensive, but I am talking about the things of every day–things like your own body, your bed at night, your family relationship, your clothing, your bite of food, your small or large faith, etc.

All this and more is what makes life possible to enjoy, the little things which are not truly so little; for our minds get used to them and may describe them to us as not so important, but in a closer look they are extremely important for our well-being.

All it takes is gratitude, recognition, realizing that these and all everyday things are giving us the chance to be capable to better enjoy our lives.  Human creatures are blind and stubborn at times, they see what they do not like in things and forget the necessity of these same things.




To be awakened, to see the truth and heart of life is to keep every second with gratitude and contentment for what you currently have; for this is reality, the acceptance of love in you, the developing capacity for gratitude.

I am not talking about prayer as religions teach it, or any god or saint worship.  No, personally, my love and gratitude is much more real than that.  I am talking about living every second of life without complaining, without envying what others have, without disliking your current life as it is.

A gratitude in your heart is all that matters to bring acceptance and love into your mind, so you may feel strong and decided to live your life with challenges and all.

Find the hidden miracle.

Future love, future happiness, future freedom–these do not exist more than just imaginations and machinations of your ego.  “I will be thankful when I have this.”  “I am so close to being happy.”  “A little more work and I’ll achieve my goal.”  These and more are false manifestation of our ego.

Life is now and it is to enjoy now, not to suffer for what you do not have or have lost and want to recuperate.  Accept your life as it is now, whether your ego labels it pleasant or unpleasant; and enjoy what you have now, do not follow dreams and neither fall into memories of past losses.

If you do not accept your life as it is now, then you will suffer more anxiety and live on psychological suffering, which will manifest on physical suffering as illnesses.  There are people in the world who are homeless and have less than you; but they still live happily in the moment day by day.  There are people in the world who have lost more than you and have suffered much more than you; but they, nevertheless, do not allow depression to bring them down.


Now, this is wisdom; to celebrate your life each day, each moment, because life is now.  So, whatever you lost, you lost.  Whatever is gone, is gone.  And whatever will be, will be.  Learn to wisely live with it.




  But, do you know what is under your control…?? Do you know what builds your experience of love and happiness…?? The wisdom is Now, the happiness is Now, the choices are Now; so, however you choose to live your life, remind yourself that there is only Now.

So, you must find the joy, the good side of things now, whatever you experience seek in there something good; for there is ALWAYS something, for he is wise who finds the hidden joy in the moment.  Find the hidden miracle.

Laugh a little.

For today I thought some funny photos or memes, something to ease the burden we might carry in life.  Because, I was thinking, life is better if seen through the eyes of laughter, for life is not a burden or crippling pain, and life is definitely not depressive; however, I know this still happens because the mind makes it appear so.  The mind then must be trained to see the positive in situations otherwise overwhelming, and through a smile, a joke, or through some laughter we may raise ourselves above all pointless frustration and all suffering.

So don’t think too much, just enjoy them without judging them.  Hope you like these…
