Death is something profoundly significant, a wonderful mystery; and it is by discovering the true meaning and wonder of death that we discover true life–i.e., the secret to bliss in life and the meaning of each moment we are alive (whether moments of joy or of sadness). But that which we call “death” can ONLY be truly understood and accepted, welcomed and even loved, by a consciousness which is ABSOLUTELY free–i.e., by an awakened consciousness.
This awakened consciousness then is not under the tyranny of the ego, filled with beliefs and traditions, opinions and superstitions around death; hence, the content of the mind has gotten rid of fear and attachment, or transmuted them into pure love and understanding.
Why do people fear death…?? People fear and become violent to what they do not understand. For example, many times it has happened to me here, and in my life outside here, that I have commented the truth of humanity’s behavior, but people seemingly paying attention to my words, in their vain egos, swallowed and enslaved by their egotism, have become defensive, reactive and event verbally violent. Thus, in the same sense, people fear death because their minds are not free, their minds being obsessed and attached to their own material pleasures–i.e., attached to environments, to people, to activities, to thinking and feeling, to their own opinions and views (all causes of suffering trapping consciousness).
We all know that when the body ceases function, and so does the brain with its electrical conductivity, we die and later disintegrate in the grave; however, our consciousness (the conscious energy inside our disintegrated atoms) is now free from the mind and its ego, and so it travels or it goes back to the “luminescent origins.” Thus the soul of the deceased continues to live within the superior dimensions of nature; and this means in fact that the disembodied souls can “see” the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the rivers, the valleys, the mountains, just like we, but in a more splendid manner.
So, you see, one must not fear death but seek to understand it, as one must seek to understand it all which is possible to understand, in order to expand our minds, free our consciousness, and become more confident, blissful, and less ego-driven individuals.
A beautiful and intuitive void, white light and a glorious spectrum of colors resembling The Mother of all mothers, Mother Earth. He opened his eyes and looked around in a daze, “…Wh–Where am I…??” The voice came from the background, this man looked in corporeal form like anybody would, “Don’t fear, you are surely everywhere and nowhere. You are safe.” Then the man said, “Who are you??” Memories came to him rushing like fierce currents, ” I–I remember a car skidding towards me. Am I…dead…?! Is this the afterlife…??” And the man who looked like anybody answered calmly, “I am that which ‘I AM’ and yet anybody you know, but you never sought after me in the right place, thus you cannot really recognize me now. And, yes, you can call this the afterlife, if you still think death is the end of life. I call it That Moment which Changes Eternally.”
The man then stood up and marveled at the colorful spectra about him–but soon pangs of worry seize him! “What about my wife and child?! I have left them alone! I have to go back!!” Then the I AM smiled kindly and said, “You are truly blessed with a good heart, for you know to put your loved ones before you; and this is the Light of your Soul knocking, and as long as you answer it will always give identity and worth to your life.” The still concerned man insisted, “But what about them?!” The I AM continued, “Come, let us walk through this joyous Eden.” So they did. And the innocent animals were welcoming the man into their perfect land, and the birds sang sacred praises to THE ALL. Them The I AM continued, “To be honest, their grief is passing and their hearts are joyous, because although you did love them you never found a way to show it. They are somewhat relieved that you are free now, and that they are free from the life you had designed for them as well.
A tear rolled down his eyes, but a tear of pure bliss because he truly loved his family and knew they were better without him, “So what now?? Am I going to Hell…??” The I AM smiled again, then looked at him with a blessing, “No. You call this reincarnation–a new opportunity to reach full bliss, a new opportunity to find yourself and ascend to my heights.” The man frowned in thought, then added, “To ascend to your heights…?? Well, tell me, what is the meaning of life then…??” They kept walking, and the I AM soon replied, “Why do you ask me?? Why does everybody ask the same down there?? Don’t you know that of all my Creations man is the only creature still seeking that answer in a thought form. Look around you–” And the man did so. “The innocent animals, the wonderful plants, the silent rocks, the fresh waters, the wise earth beneath your feet. Do you think they are confused and asking questions to themselves about the meaning of life??” The man fell silent, humbled by THE WORD, then said again, “So, where do I go now…??” The I AM said, “You shall see when you come out of the womb, perhaps to the past, perhaps to the future, but always in the present; for the world and all Cosmic Creation is an Egg, and my children come out of that Egg dozens upon dozens of times, and the meaning is always flowing in that Egg, thus in you.” And they stopped walking, and then it all blackened, and then the man was gone into that Egg…
The cycle of life and death is just an illusion of the intellect, of the ego and its aggregates; for there is only transmutation of forms and energy fields, it is all change–i.e., a subtle manifestation of ethereal bodies and essences in the individual while the dissolution of egos and of personalities passes through their final suffering, their final death, to begin again a new, to have a new chance for development.
The symbolisms hidden in The Bible for the true seeker, for the mystical ones, are many:
Thomas’s Jesus, in the ‘Gospel of Thomas,’ is a dispenser of wisdom, not the crucified and resurrected Lord. Jesus speaks of the kingdom: “The kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty.”
So, why did Jesus die at 33 then…?? What is the symbolism and the message hidden there…?? The Bible is a sacred book hiding messages for the true seeker. So, why 33…?? The vertebral column consists of 33 vertebrae–this is named ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ in The Bible. Symbolically, as Jacob climbs this ladder (our vertebral column) of 33 steps he is filled with divinity and names the top ‘Peniel ‘(Pineal Gland; Peniel: Penis-El – The Cubic Stone of Yesod in Kabbalah – The Sacred Philopher’s Stone of the Alchemist). Hanukkah (the Jewish holiday) symbolizes the ‘Oil of Christ,’ which is our own spinal fluid, which rises up through the spinal column as the Kundalini energy connects the 7 chakras and then reaches the Pineal Gland/Peniel/the spiritual Third Eye.
Now the sacred oil (spinal fluid) has reached ‘Golgotha’ or ‘The Place of The Skull,’ then it is ‘Crucified’ there (Crucified symbolizes a reach in intensity, an increment in power), and then the sacred oil remains two days and a half (the moon’s period in zodiac signs every month) in the tomb (in the cere- bellum) and on the third day ascends to the Pineal Gland which connects the cerebellum with the Optic Thalmus, the Central Eye in the ‘Throne of God’–that is, the chamber overtopped by the hollow (hallowed) caused by the curve of the cerebrum (the “Most High” of the body) which is the “Temple of the Living God.” And then Enlightenment happens! Thus Christ goes up to Golgotha, gets crucified, and on the third day (Third Eye) achieves Enlightenment.
The number 33 hides a very esoteric meaning. Some hidden meanings are:
Jesus was crucified at the age of 33 – In 33 A.D. Jesus also performed 33 written miracles – The divine name Elohim appears 33 times in the opening chapter of the Genesis creation story – The Vedic Religion has 33 deities (33 Gods/Devas.) – Number 33 is considered a Master Number in Numerology, which means that it resonates at a higher vibration than other numbers – in Mathematics 33 is the largest positive integer which cannot be expressed as a sum of different triangular numbers – 33 is the atomic number of arsenic (important chemical element) – There are 33 degrees in Scottish Rite Freemasonry – And many other hidden meanings…
In your daily activities, pursuits, personal thoughts, interactions, do you wonder what life really is…?? Life is more than living daily, isn’t it…?? People are born, expelled from the womb, entering this duality with one foot in the tomb already; consequently, they do not enjoy their lives plenty, they do not explore themselves and really live each second with full awareness, because they focus on the foot that lies in the tomb, they see themselves aging through the years they do not live.
Credit card debts piling up, anxiety about political nonsense, the foolish beliefs of religions clouding their minds, the pressure of getting married and following the path their families have set for them, parents birthing children without actually educating them but leaving that to the school system entirely, etc.–all this is allowed to infect the lives of people and they do not even see it. This is the death of the spirit!
The greatest loss in life is that which you cannot see with your own two eyes, isn’t it….?? A Third Eye must be unleashed in life to actually see life for what it is. The true beauty of art is not a painting. The true attractive of a woman is not her looks. The intelligence of a man is not his accomplishments in society. The poetry of life is not written in books or made by great history. Love is not found in dating or marriage or sex. Bliss is not loads and loads of knowledge spiritual or otherwise. This is IN life, but not life; and if this is seen as life then you are losing the very heart of it.
Life is the celebration of each moment you live, whether that moment is pleasant or not to your mind. Life is beyond all your daily activities, relationships, pursuits, and intellectual understanding; and you must embrace life by deeply immersing yourself meditatively into it. Do not squander your life by just living mechanically, but be expressive, grab opportunities big or small, make your voice heard, start your project now, see through aging and put all your energy into your moment. Forget about loss in life, because if you focus on loss you will miss the riches of life and invite fear to soon bring you death.
Yes, indeed, there is no greater wisdom then awakening yourself to life.
Nothing obscures and destroys the truly blissful life more than to remain in perpetual fear of the unknown–“What is going to happen…??” – “What should I do…??” – “How should I live life before my last breath…??” – “What is waiting for me after I die…??” All this nonsense, unbeknownst to many, cripples the mind and depletes our full energy for a more blissful life; for each moment is a blessing, and quite often we live in our heads and see only darkness instead of looking around us and seeing the beauty of life in a better light…
“The spirit.”
“Why do you fear the unknown…??,” the spirit said, “Seek poisons, praise material illusion, hate death…??” There was silence, the man felt ill, he felt dread, “Who is there?! I feel upon my ear your breath! O I am but a poor wretch of man in this darkness.” The spirit left from his hands, brushed past his face; The spirit was gentle, kind to the man, harmless, “Why fear death, yet hold my body with such grace…?? The human mind fears the very shadows it creates, For it allows not the reality of life to flourish in man. Life is all there is, so live, a continuous bliss awaits!” The old man began with some fear, he almost ran From the voice; but soon his conscience was lit, “I have wasted my life on silly trinkets and vanity. For I see now that my eyes were before very unfit. I see you live still, I see now with the greatest sanity That which feeds ignorance and strengthens fear.” The dark skies opened right there, the man then saw The moonlight upon himself and the spirit very clear; Nature called and its essence parted without flaw…
As I woke up this morning… thousands of warm slivers of sunshine filled my room, Bobby, my little dog barked in the background, I got up and felt taken by the early morning’s energy. Then, a particular thought came to mind: ‘Freedom.’ Freedom…??… I followed my morning routine, toothbrush and stretch, and I kept on hearing the little shrieking with which I had become so enamored by now. Bobby wanted to be let out, enjoy the day and expand his own curiosity, thus immerse himself in the wonderful micro-world of smells. I put his leash on and we started our routine walk, except this time we explored another part of the area. While strolling and courting the sunshine spectrum we also felt the soothing morning breeze upon us, charmingly refreshing, almost magical, and to really be there was a wonderful experience on its own. He was sniffing away as if possessed! “Who knows what sorts of little worlds he finds among the blades of green grass,” I thought while smiling.
My Toy Poodle, Bobby, spotting a bug in our daily morning walks.
As I woke up this morning… Then, the particular thought came to mind again, ‘Freedom.’ But this time I recognized it. Bobby wants freedom! You want freedom! I want freedom! We all want freedom! But not superficial, not the facade of freedom; true freedom, a deeper freedom which has really to do with divinity and not with the flesh. Although the ignorant mind thinks that it has to do with the flesh; but it does not, does it…?? Freedom from stress, freedom from concepts, freedom from this flesh, freedom from our everyday lives– This is true freedom! We all feel this nagging sensation deep inside of us each moment, then thought comes along and gives it a name–which could be ‘Violence,’ ‘Extra eating,’ ‘Sex,’ ‘Killing,’ ‘Bullying,’ ‘Warring,’ ‘Traveling,’ ‘Seek relationships,’ ad infinitum. The ego is thought, and thought invades the human experience each second of each day, it is relentless, we need it and yet it brings poisoned ways to translate freedom into what we want. It works subconsciously in the unawakened individual, it starts as a desire to do something, anything, than thought gives it a flavor, a name, an activity…
But it is all about freedom, all we do, all human experience we create in existence; because we all want to come back to Source really, come back to that state of godliness, that eternal essence, or however you call it. But the ego does not allow us to see that all we want is freedom; that is why to be awakened is to know freedom, to be whole and embrace it… Although, I have to say, we can become Enlightened, we can love purely, we can live truly free in our lands, self-sufficient; but we can never be 100% free unless no thought exists, no feeling drives us, and no flesh enslaves us. And what is this absolutely free state…??: Death. Or what we call death, anyway… Now, isn’t it interesting that people live unconsciously, seeking for freedom in all they do, but fearing what they call Death–i.e., fearing the same thing they seek, fearing freedom from all bondage…??… It is the unknown, isn’t it…??: Death… But it is absolute freedom from this mundane jail of pleasure and pain called human experience, and your conscience deeply, beyond your ego, knows this.
Perhaps if we all understand that all we want is freedom, we won’t allow our own egos to drive us into self-destruction, and we won’t destroy the human experience of others by some selfish expression of our own egos.
Why do people waste their whole lives thinking about an “end”…?? Why can’t you see that life has no end…?? Why can’t you just let go of your fear and dance along this beautiful piece of art sounding in your human experience…??
Society, your family, your traditions, your beliefs, religions, books, have poisoned you. Yes, they have cemented in you the firm illusion of an end because your body decays with time; but you still experience your energy– Does it decay as well…?? Does the energy inside the atom die…?? Or just the shell of the atom dies…?? … But what you fear is not death itself, but it is losing your things, your physical relationships, your possessions, your positions in society–that’s what you fear. Attachment is like shackles to you, such is a prison which does not let your consciousness elevate; thus, your creativity dies slowly and your fear grows…
Life is all there is, like love is all there is, like beauty is all there is; however, the ego, the lower consciousness in man, divides life with the thought of death, poisons love in man with fear, and makes beauty pleasant or unpleasant through culture, tradition, and personal experience.
But there is no death in reality, just the loss of your ego and its attachments to matter. Reality, just like sleep is your real state of existence where there are no boundaries and your spirit can soar freely and without impositions from your ego, is the true essence of life… of you. All life is then, is a glorious dance… And you must befriend the concept of death to lose all fear…
“I dance with a friend...”
Every day I observe his beautiful face, He whispers my great value and beauty: He utters divine words with perfect grace, How I must not fear him in my daily duty. “Would you dance with me…??” he says. “Would you be my partner in this dance…??” Love within me grows as I to him confess, As we are joined in the eternal romance.
Yes, I dance with a friend and I am in love! My profound dreams reveal his true heart. Freedom becomes my human form as glow. My spirit truly soars as all fear does part. He tells me that my consciousness was ill, For the conditioned brain had poisoned me; He gave me health, conscience, good will, For now I see life as The One eternal sea.
All things are ephemeral, limited, doomed to suffer decay through time, artificial, and beneath that which fuels all you see and is reality; therefore, a piece of land, people, daily situations, great achievements, all relationships you form, they are all tied to thoughts and feelings of change, time moves forward and it does not stop, all life has an end and it is mechanical.
The human being is indeed a traveler, substance of thought and flesh under the rule of constant change, constant evolution; and so, it is not these temporal things tied to change which must rule your life, even though they occupy certain importance in the healthy development, but it is what fuels these the one ethereal substance to discover beyond the everyday facade.
Where do you discover happiness really…?? Is it in a piece of land, in the job you have, in the relationship you have, in the success in society you gain, in the pride of seeing your son or daughter getting a family of his or her own…?? And do you really own these things and people…?? Are you the owner really….?? … And what happens if you lose your land, your job, your relationship, your success in society, and if your daughter or son dies…?? Does that mean happiness dies for you, too….?? …
Know that happiness does not mean the pleasure of having all these wonderful things; but happiness is not a product of these things or any thing…
And that is precisely the problem with humanity, their thinking is too superficial, mediocre, mechanical, conditioned; for they believe only in what they see, and so love and happiness is in what they find in relationships, people, events, successes in the world of form, etc. Love and happiness is a gamble for them, such gamble which carries suffering, confusion, enslavement which is the great loss of all mental and emotional freedom.
But one who is awake or wants a realization of a deeper nature, should question what happiness really is, and what is it you own in this life…
“Sunlight fell upon the wall; the wall received a borrowed splendor. Why set your heart on a piece of earth, O simple one? Seek out the source which shines forever.” ~ Rumi.
“Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.” ~ Norman Cousins; American political journalist, author, professor, and world peace advocate.
“For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.” ~ Khalil Gibran; Lebanese writer, poet, and visual artist.
Time, as a necessary gift our minds create, has been given to us since the first speck of matter was formed, because time is what matter needs to exist; thus, in order for a process of any design, chemical or otherwise, to be given physical trajectory then time is vital, as well as space where events or processes can take place.
So, then time must be considered a gift, a blessing which moves this life forward, the one which allows you to experience everything, and the one which makes it all possible from one second of your life to the next.
This life then should be seen as time to experience and move forward, to develop yourself and your path in pure happiness, not to dwell in misery and suffering; time allows for all these, happiness and misery, and, even though we must embrace both, as both are part of life, there is no wisdom in dwelling in misery or pain more than is needed to learn and move on.
Because when you embrace the time you have and see it as a blessing, then you make everything about love and happiness, you don’t waste time being miserable, and you even make death into a door to a greater state or a graduation ceremony.
Death is only seen as the end or as very painful to your own experience if you live your life in attachment, if you only know and enjoy the pleasures of life, and if you crave relationships and material things as possessions/as source of considered happiness; for if you really understand and experience the essence of true happiness and love within yourself, beyond the superficial nonsense of man, then attachment and fear vanishes from your life and you see death as another stepping stone to something greater where you are absolutely free.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.” ~ Rumi; Persian Sunni Muslim poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic.
“Birth and death are events in time and space. There is nothing but Life.” ~ Dr. Betty Kovacs; scientific philosopher, businesswoman, and author.
Life is eternal, wise and ubiquitous, and the fact that Life itself branches out and offers these physical aspects which provide a rich experience for us to develop, springs a duality and creates birth and death; however, because physical life is just a small aspect or branch of Eternal Life, then it means that whatever–birth and death in this case–happens in the physical is really just an entrance and an exit.
See it as doors which we use to enrich the experience of Eternal Life, because in order for you to understand birth and death, thus in order to dissipate all fear and anxiety, you need to see this as doors into rich and wise experience.
Hello andGoodbye, in this sense, does not exist; but, however, only the mortal mind/the ego experiences it as hello in birth and goodbye in death.
So, birth and death are two concepts generated by the physical senses; because the duality of this life in the ignorant mind of man creates fear and the birth and death of superficial beauty–i.e., not true beauty, for it is bound to time and space.
There is then no greater deception than this, for this deception poisons the mind and causes all kinds of fears, it engineers a great distance between you and happiness, it mars the eternal beauty of Eternal Life, and it distorts reality of what this life period really is and how you should live it.
