Bullies in your life

Bullies

A bully is really a person who carries pain deep inside and doesn’t know, or hasn’t been taught by parents on, how to deal with it; and so he/she just takes it out on others. A bully can be a physical bully, an emotional bully, a psychological bully. If it is not too clear who is a bully in your life, just learn to observe carefully–what they do, what they say, how they think and feel, and especially what they believe about themselves.

How to spot a bully

Is the person cruel to you, even if he claims that he has the right?? Is the person cruel or demeaning to others in any way?? Is he making up a lot of excuses over and over again for his selfish actions?? Is he really competitive and worries a lot about his reputation?? Is he escaping responsibility and blaming you or another??

Sometimes we are even living with bullies, and because we are blinded by the affection and history we have with them then we do not even see the signs. But ask yourself the questions and answer them with honesty, respecting yourself, and find out. That is the first step on great awareness, so you can stand up for yourself and others.

Talking to the best

Self-talk

I’ve read in a scientific article long ago that self-talk is very important. I always remember that article because I consider self-talk extremely important in my life. Life can be extremely difficult, with many pressures and ugliness; however, the most important weapon we have against all that is our own mind–our mentality or mental state.

Good communication daily

How am I doing?? Why do I care about what others think and say about me?? What is the best step to take to accomplish my passions and goals?? Why am I being so impulsive?? I ask myself questions like these daily, and many more.

Because in order to know myself better I need to dig deep and treat me as my best friend, and that means to care for myself and be interested about myself. I must establish communication, respect, and trust with myself. It might sound silly, but, in all honesty, love and happiness will only grow in you if there is good communication daily.

Mental routines…

Mental routine and depressive states

One of the greatest, and also most tragic, things of the mind is that it creates a routine, it gets used to a thought, a feel, a lifestyle. So, it happens that if you are raised a certain way, or told you’re not good enough, then your mind will start making it a reality for you.

Or if you lose someone important for you, and the people around you only bring you down and do not try to help you out of depression, your mind will get used to it and spread this depressive state and make you negative in other aspects of life.

And if you are deceived, treated unfairly, cheated on a relationship, then your mind will make you feel ugly, or worthless, or like you have no meaning; and it will make you afraid of other people, distrusful, and even negative regarding a future life.

Change your mental routine

Is love something only somebody else can give me?? Is my worth really given to me by my parents, by academic education, by my past relationships, by the established norms in society?? Why do I actually think and feel the way I do?? Do I constantly feed my self-pity??

What is the point of remaining in this self-victimization state, and how is it helping me to be truly happy and feel successful?? Ask yourself these questions daily. You need only to answer them with honesty and without bias. If you do, then you will rewire your brain and free your mind from the negative routine to thus create a new and better one.

Burning fat

Why is hard to lose weight..??

For most people after 30 years old it gets harder to lose weight. Our capacity to more quickly digest foods, eliminate fats and sugars, really dwindles. This happens to most of us, depending on your genetics; however, our body changes from the efficiency it had when we were younger.

Intermittent fasting

It’s what I do. I do not have breakfast. From last night’s meal at 6 pm to the next day at 11 am I fast. That is called ‘Intemittent Fasting.’ This gives my stomach time to clean itself and to also burn more fat. And that is the secret: Allowing your digestive system to work at its own pace. Remember, after 30 years old, your metabolism slows down and everything changes.

Steps to loving…

Loving another

It’s all about empathy. When somebody talks, listen and feel the emotion in their words. When somebody needs your support, offer it without measuring what they have done in the past. When it comes to loving, you must let go of overthinking, specially judging. If your mind is judging them, there is no room for loving them.

Where it all starts

But, truth is, everything starts with honesty to yourself. Loving yourself is doing what is healthy for you, not doing what your ego wants. For example, your ego wants to drink alcohol, it wants to keep reacting to the world aroung you instead of exploring yourself, it wants to blame everyone but yourself, etc. This is not caring for yourself, less being honest with yourself.

A person living in their ego cannot truly love, which means they will always have difficulty being happy and loving others. These persons will live frustrated, suffer from mental and physical issues as they age, and fail at committed relationships. So, loving others starts by being honest with yourself and truly taking the steps to become healthier.

Losing weight

Trying to lose weight

As we age, our bodies change. It doesn’t matter our genetics, our capacity to burn fat, sugars, and the rest is really affected. Of course, genetics plays a role too, as some people have it easy losing weight and others not so easy. But, truth is, that losing weight can be done, no matter the condition or genetics you have.

Now, there are many people who go to the gym or exercise at home very hard to lose weight; but, after trying hard and sweating a lot, they depress themselves at the sight of failure. Well, that is because they forget, or willingly ignore, the most basic and important part of losing body fat: Food and drink consumption.

Food, drink, and addictions.

The first thing to have in mind when you want to really lose weight is what you consume. Ask yourself what you eat for your meals. Do you drink alcohol?? Do you smoke?? Do you do drugs?? Do you drink plenty of water?? Are you a slave to your sweets?? Now, I am of the mind that losing weight is attached to a truly healthy lifestyle. Not a strict lifestyle, but a lifestyle filled with passion for my true well-being.

But in my experience, what makes you fat are addictions. Any addictions make your mind weak, easily tempted, an easy target for fat gaining and illnesses. And to truly lose weight and maintain your health, you must have a strong mind, which is a mind that carries self-discipline and strength to say no to temptations and addictions.

Signs of improvement

Like The Sun gives energy to all

So, like the Sun is filled with energy to give life to Earth, you must be filled with love for yourself in order to be able to give love to someone else, or even to give love to the things you do in life. Any real success in your journey requires this.

Signs you are healing and succeeding on yourself:

-More observing, less judging.
-More thoughtful responding, less reacting.
-More self-care habits, less overthinking sabotage.
-More acceptance, less resentments.
-More attention on inner peace, not on outer chaos.
-More clarity in thought, less confusion and anxiety routines.
-More being and finding satisfaction staying put, less going out and trying to pursue pleasures and excitements.
-More faith in yourself, less fear of failure and ruining your future.

Turn things around

Inspiration

There is nothing like feeling inspired to get up in the morning and live a great day. But, sadly, most of us expect the day to bring inspiration, to make us feel like it’s a great day, to push us through. Truth is, you are the inspiration, and your attention allows you to feel it.

If I seek to feel inspired then I will put my full attention on what I do; but I won’t stop there, because I will choose to see everything I live, especially the hard times, with positivity and faith. I create my path and the way I feel; thus I create my inspiration.

Ways to turn things around

-If I encounter rude people, I ignore them or I do not engage myself emotionally with them.

-If I lose something or someone important to me, I do not let it pull me down but I try to get on with my life and envision a better future for me.

-If I see that things still do not go as expected, I use the frustration I feel as energy to seek other, more creative ideas and come up with other ways to create my success.

-If thoughts of any negativity start to creep in my mind, I use their energy and transform those same thoughts in ones of hope and strength. I create better scenarios in my head, ones which give me the capacity to feel better about myself.

Great ideas

Ideas

Ideas are all around us. What is that mean…?? Well, ideas are thoughts that build, that create, that inspire, that help you connect to yourself and to the world at some level. You can choose to use that idea however you like. But the greatest ideas bring inspiration to create and unite.

A new recipe. A plot twist. Some creative thought to connect more with your loved ones. Some revelation to ease and relax your anxious mind. So, coming to it, they’re all around us because you can get ideas from your own life–from walking outside, from watching a movie, from reading a book, from a conversation with a family member, etc.

Manifesting ideas

As an author, I understand ideas. After all, no human being could function without ideas (thoughts). But, to create great ideas (inspiring ideas), I must nourish them. I nourish them by having good discipline. By thinking positively. By remaining hopeful.

By acting good towards myself, which means by having habits of health daily. And, as I mentioned, by listening, observing, interacting with all that’s around me. I can’t expect to just sit down and become flooded by good and inspiring ideas.

I must go and create them myself, not wait for some miracle or magic event from the heavens. As an author, for example, I know that Writer’s Block only comes to the ones who sit down and just expect great ideas to appear magically. But, to the ones who take everything they experience around them and use it for inspiration, Writer’s Block is a primitive and nonexistent belief. So, create ideas at all times, observe and learn.

What it takes

Believing in yourself

As a human being doing my best, as an indie author especially, I understand how hard it is to believe in yourself. Sometimes I doubt myself, my art, the way I do things; because life is challenging, and that is exactly the journey. Sometimes one may look at others and feel inferior or intimidated.

Some other times it could be that others around us are not conducive to a positive and supportive atmosphere. But one must look past these, focus on oneself, and tell ourselves to keep going no matter what; because that is what it takes to make it, thus constant self-belief.

A reason to believe

It is the most important thing. Each day. A reason to believe in yourself. Prove to yourself how worthy you are, because love is an action towards yourself. Work on your body’s health. On your mind. Schedule times to work on your craft. Strengthen your capacity for reading. Seek to bring more value to you.

The #1 reason why people fail in self-belief is due to focusing on the achievements of others, on how others are doing. But if you have strong talents, if you focus entirely on your own growth, then there is no time for procrastination and focusing on others. I struggle with this sometimes, but I remind myself of my own strengths to conquer even the struggle. It is my wish that you too remind yourself of this.
