Everything that changes with time and evolution is external. The rest, the inner is about choices. Love can unite people all their lives, just as long as you choose love by focusing on the small details in regards to you, to your partner, to life.
If the mind is to deviate from the small things in life, then it will fall under chaos–it will fall into frustration, worry, and into the illusion of the changing external. (Become highly aware of this to avoid all kinds of problems.)
All mental health and connection
And then, when in chaos, anger appears, and mental distortions and all obsessions appear, and separation from your true self and from your loved one appear. That is why the heart of all mental health and connection lies not in what you see but in what you cannot.
Social media is a blessing. We can communicate with the world through a computer or phone. We can gain knowledge into other cultures and traditions. We can find out events, news around the world easily and whenever we want. We can help others who live far away even.
But, truth is, it can also be a curse. We can be robbed of our money or fooled by professional scammers. We can be a target for trolls and bullies. We can lose much of our privacy. And the worst, at least for me, we can lose time with distractions instead of focusing on the work that matters most to us.
I think this disguises itself, but deep inside it’s a real problem. Sometimes social media can be draining of our time, of our energy, of our desires. Sometimes the time lost on social media could’ve been better used to do other things that need our attention–like family time, like working on hobbies, like work, like outdoor activities, etc.
I think a good schedule, a good order should steer us in a good direction. Scheduling can bring discipline into our lives, maybe more productivity and passion for something that matters more than checking what our friends are doing on Twitter or Facebook.
Sometimes we worry too much about achieving something. Perhaps we look how others are doing, and we desire to reach that status that they currently have. Maybe we believe that if we don’t rush or haste we will lose our window for success.
All this anxiety and frustration. This is not allowing us to see the truth, that speed does not matter, that only persistence does. As long as we work consistently on something, with real passion, giving our best, always aware of new ways, then we can be successful.
What is success…??
See, success is unique, because each one of us is unique. So, the success we can have at something cannot be compared to the success of others. We are all different. Go our different pace. Have different ideas. Have different dreams. Have different views on life.
So, success is about how you feel, not tomorrow but now. And you will feel successful as long as you persist and work hard at what you do. But if you start comparing, or becoming frustrated, or angry with how things are going for you then you won’t feel or be successful. Because success is always a state of mind.
Feelings can be scary. When your heart breaks can be difficult to love. When you are frustrated can be challenging to keep on. When you are disappointed can be tough to trust again. Feelings are what make us humans, and what give us the capacity to achieve love and happiness.
So, exploring your feelings, even though scary and hard at times, is what gives you more empathy and makes you a better human being. That is why spending time with yourself, accepting the way you feel and not trying to escape it, is truly important in order to really understand life and the right choices to make.
The right feelings
What are the right feelings..?? The right feelings, for me, are the ones that help you move on and create a better life for yourself. But for that, I need to focus on how I feel and totally ignore the world. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed due to the news, or the suffering of someone close to me, or the injustice out there, etc.
She said this. He did this. Ignore everything. Protect the way you feel. You have to do this in order to think clearly and be ready to love again, be happy again, and try your best again. A successful life is one where you feel positive and strong to forge your path. And from that, you may give a better example and good vibes to others, so they too can build a better life for themselves.
Because of how you feel. Because of the state of your mind. Because when you laugh, smile, make the negative into the positive, your mind and body go through a miraculous transformation. This transformation makes you shift your awareness, and so you feel better about yourself and your life.
Why does awareness matter…??
Awareness is conscious attention. When it comes to our minds everything is attention. If you focus (put attention) on the world, you will feel however the world wants you to feel. If you focus on yourself, you will feel however you choose to feel. Attention shifted inwardly is self-awareness, because your attention focuses on yourself and on how you feel.
Why increase in self-awareness…??
The more self-awareness, the less capacity the world and the situations in it have to affect you. You can feel sad, frustrated, angry; but, when your self-awareness levels are high, then your mind will be free and it’ll be easier for you to let the negativity go. When the negativity goes, you now can focus on cleaning your mind and bringing more positivity to it. This makes it easier to keep moving forward, think more clearly, and feel more love and happiness in your life.
So, here’s why everyone should choose to do something highly personal and creative, something that comes from you and that represents you and your values. I have chosen writing books. For me, writing and creating characters, worlds, ideas, experiences, is all about self-expression. It is about freeing myself from my personal burdens and difficulties appearing in life. But it’s also, and most importantly, about finding myself through my writing, through my creative expression.
What is finding myself mean?? It means that I get to stop my anxiety, my worry, my desires, my daily thoughts, and focus on my mental health, on my mind expansion as self-awareness. Because life is about learning about yourself in depth. So, expressing yourself through something personal and creative, like writing books, or a blog, or painting, or other crafts, helps you get in touch with your deepest emotions; and subconsciously your mind learns to relax and be more introspective (thinking clearly before acting impulsively).

I’ve been on the other side, which is the side of attachment and self-neglect. When I was looking to fit in and to be like the rest, seeking their approval, seeking to belong to a group of thinkers, believers, philosophers. We all seek this when there is no knowledge of self. We seek to belong and to feel part of others and of what others do, and this quite often becomes an obsession, a corruption as we become more like others and lose our uniqueness. Most of us fall into this, because we cannot be with ourselves. We might feel empty, not worthy by ourselves, like something is missing; therefore, we look to others and to think like them.
We really are different and unique, each one of us; however, by trying to be like others, by following a belief, a philosophy, a behavior which is not truly ours we become distanced from ourselves and from our uniqueness. The world is full of people who seek an identity outside themselves, in a crowd, in culture, in tradition, in religion, in politics. This brings them more emptiness and loneliness. Happiness is in discovering yourself, to stand on your own, to lead your own thinking and feeling, to create better behaviors based on your uniqueness. Trying to copy others dulls the mind, and it makes the emptiness, the frustration, the loneliness stronger in you.
There is nothing more important in life than to be and feel whole, to discover ourselves by taking care of ourselves. Don’t focus on others, on what philosophers say, on what religions say, on what groups of people (whoever these groups are) say. Life is about being happy, and to be truly happy one must learn to think for oneself. There is no normal. We are all different. Think for yourself and don’t seek to copy the “normal” offered by society, by your family, by politics and religion. Nothing will make you whole, able to feel successful and happy, unless it is your own unbiased thinking. Forge your own path. It works for me. It will do so for you as well.
