Poetry and prose from the heart. Self-help life truths. Stories to ponder. The free mind of a human god!

Missing someone.

And what is life if not experiences, lessons, moments in time, memories of joy and of suffering…??  It is all meant for some higher reason.  Don’t seek the reason.  Just observe the memories.  Don’t attach yourself and your current life to these memories, but learn from them.  Miss someone if you must, but observe the inspiration, the beauty it might bring.  Don’t be quick to reject it.

Rejection, running away from memories and what we have lived, brings suffering.  Because these memories are a part of you now, whether you like it or not.  So, learn to respect your memories with understanding, with love; because, if you don’t, then your mind will become angry and frustrated, and this generates great suffering in your life.

Render yourself free.

When you interact with the world have in mind a great sense of humility.  Don’t let others put you down, and do not let yourself feel prideful and put down others either.

When you communicate with people, share ideas, express opinions and personal experiences, don’t be attached to this; but be open to other experiences, let yourself learn something new about the experience of someone else.

Observe your own reactions to things, to conversations, to what you encounter in the world.  Observe your ego moving here and there, and control yourself, practice self-control, and do not remain attached to anything at all.

Keep on learning throughout your life, like the wise man, and for that you must become detached and free from thoughts and feelings–know that this is your very prison.  The fool ignores this and remains always attached to his ego, like a very hard rock, like a very stubborn and immobile object.

Experiencing your own Enlightenment.

Whatever and whoever you find offensive, bothersome, irritating around you is indeed due to the way you feel inside, the way your chaotic mind is, the way you understand and love yourself; because what you find as experience out there is what you feel as experience in you.

The world, existence, your experience lies in you, and that is not something romantic and philosophical; for your mind truly creates everything, and it all filters through the mechanics of your brain.  Nothing exists but what your mind allows you to see, touch, think, feel, experience.

So, when you are annoyed, hurt, irritated by people, it is a by-product of your inner state, a reflection of your truest and deepest self.  And the more you attend or focus on someone’s flaws, weaknesses, things you do not like, the more you create your own flaws, weaknesses, irritations, etc.

At the end, it all comes down to your inner state of mind, how you feel about yourself, how much or not you love yourself, how harmonious or not you experience yourself.  It all, everything you think you experience coming from outside, comes really from you, it is a reflection of you, literally so.

So, to understand the world, your surroundings, people, environments, nature, then understand yourself.  To love all existence, love yourself entirely.  If you can truly understand and realize this daily, then know that you are blissfully experiencing your own Enlightenment.

The road.

Anything we do and think and feel, anyone we meet, and any experience in the rich spectrum of our lives has its purpose.  Life is a string of moments, and these moments–each one of them–are what give value to our lives; and whatever these moments are considered to be by your individual mind, either good or bad, they still manifest the next moment.  So no breakup is truly bad, no death is a fatality, no mistake is the end of anything; all of it is preparing you consciously or subconsciously, with or without your knowledge, for the next phase of your life, and your task is to accept this without complaining and seeking further meaning.

Success is more than what society says it is, more than achieving, more than getting to some higher destination; success is bliss, it is a state of happiness, it is to struggle and experience knowing and accepting that your everyday journey is indeed your success–or that it should be your success as an ongoing activity of your mind, heart, and spirit/of your whole being.  So, one must remember to keep on working, studying, learning, feeling deeply, and so accepting what is; for success is your full attention on each moment you live, while your whole being focuses on experiencing and enjoying your journey.

Constant awareness is constant effort in the road which we call success.  Success then must be the state of your mind, which is the state of constant awareness

Greater insight.

For as long as I’m alive in this mind and body of decay, ignorance at some level will exist in me.  Nothing is perfect in this physical realm; the only perfection is life, love, but we humans make it imperfect.  And people live different experiences and they are all unique, each one of them; however, to have different experiences makes us have different views, different ways of doing things.  Perhaps one is wise in this, or maybe one is unwise in that, or ignorance fills our minds, or ignorance has been lowered due to a conscience illumination; but, that is exactly why we must learn to accept each other as we are, because we carry different understandings, levels of ignorance, and experiences.

Do you understand that no one is really superior or inferior, that life is not a competition…?? Can’t you see that competing against each other, you are widening the gap and destroying any chance of illumination in you and in the other person…??
If someone has their beliefs, ideas, and understanding; but it is a misguided path, it is not your job to break this person but help him/her to see more. To argue and to try to win, to break or humiliate the person is selfish, it is great ignorance rooted on a subconscious or conscious fear.

You may not want to admit it but still deep inside you these words resonate with you, because we all carry the truth inside of us–but some carry more darkness/ignorance than others which covers the truth/which covers love and greater understanding.

Always remind yourself that we are all ignorant at some level. We are all different and must learn to appreciate this difference in the world, in one another. To rise and not to put others down! To create our path to a greater place and not to step on others to get there! 🕉️💖🙏

Mastering life…

“When the dog looks at you, the dog is not thinking what kind of a person you are.  The dog is not judging you.  We have much to learn from a simple dog.”  ~ Eckhart Tolle; German-Canadian spiritual teacher, public speaker, and author.

“I hate prejudice, discrimination, and snobbishness of any kind, it always reflects on the person judging and not the person being judged.  Everyone should be treated equally.” ~ Gordon Brown; British politician.

Life allows us to make different paths, and that exactly shapes people, and by the choices we make under any circumstance we are forging our journey along this path; this is something unique which is the heart of our level of living and understanding.

And nobody is better than anybody due to having different experiences; we are all different, perhaps with a lower or higher thinking depth, perhaps we have taken our time to meditate on ourselves or not, but we are all here to learn from our unique and challenging experiences.

Sometimes people make the mistake of seeing a rich person, a bully, an angry person, a hateful person, etc., and think that they have it easy or that they are evil because of their words or because of the violence they commit.  But, the truth that your untainted heart knows, and that your ego may quarrel with, is that we have all gone through experiences and lifestyles that have shaped us as the human beings we presently are, and many times the choices we have made out of ignorance were not the best ones.

But whether you understand this and tolerate it or not is a reflection of you, not of the people you judge.

This speaks of your own knowledge of self and of the control you have of your mind, such must be always a peaceful and harmonious mind in order to see through all prejudice and anger from the rebellious ego.

You must accept people the way they are, even if we are talking about Hitler himself; because nobody is born evil, but the choices and the experiences growing up make good or evil.  Learn to be the sage, the wise one who can see through this veil of prejudice.

And with this I am not saying that we should hug and kiss every damn idiot out there who rapes, murders, bullies, and even that talks down to you; however, I am saying that we must keep our minds peaceful and free of anger and anxiety, and I am saying that we must keep the attention on ourselves and not on judging others, because while you hate and judge others you are distancing yourself from self-love, you are letting evil into your own mind to take over, you are the one choosing wrong now, you are the one committing the sin.

Think about it and be wise in your own daily choices.

Without chains.

“When I am able to resist the temptation to judge others, I can see them as teachers.”  ~ Gerald Jampolsky; psychiatrist and author.

“The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence.”  ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti; spiritual teacher, philosopher, and author.

We should never judge others and what they’re going through, because even though our thinking might tell us that we understand, such thinking is never the experience itself; so, in order to really understand, one must listen without judgement in one’s own thoughts.

The way one experiences a challenge in life is going to be different than the experience someone else has, because it is the human mind which translates the experience.

The human mind works differently in each one of us–i.e., when something is deeply challenging to someone, that same something might be not as deeply challenging to someone else, or vice-versa.

Misunderstandings and personalities driven by pure ego are the main reasons for broken friendships and all more intimate relationships, and this obviously happens because people judge without really listening and opening their hearts to a higher intelligence.

The highest intelligence is not in the brain, is not the I.Q.–i.e., the I.Q. only recognizes similar patterns and solves problems based on books and the experiences it has gone through, so it judges purely on these terms; however, the human condition, human experience, goes deeper than what can be analyzed by books and by cold patterns and measures from thought.

Never assume that knowing the psychology of someone entitles you to know and judge that person and the way he thinks exactly.  Experiences and the way the mind goes through them is very different for each of us.
