The journey of humility.

  • The journey is not set in stone.  Knowledge is power, and also great responsibility.  We learn as we go, so one must be humble enough to admit that there is always more to be learned, transformed, even changed as we come in the way of new knowledge.

  • Each one of us carries our own experience and understanding.  Each one of us carries an intellect that must become flexible and capable of adapting to new knowledge, new opinions, new ideas.  Life is a marathon and an  exploration.  Don’t forget that.

I’ve been on this journey for long to finally understand that our minds create our lives and every experience we have. I know we can all better our lives by individual self-development and spiritual understanding. Check out my self-help books to enlighten yourself and others.

Worry about your own faults.

Stay with yourself.  Create your feelings, and don’t let others control how you react.  Learn that people cannot be changed by you, they are who they want to be; that is, for better or worse, not your problem.

You must express yourself, be true to yourself; but let people have their beliefs and opinions.  It is not your responsibility to save anyone.  You only point, but let them decide if they will walk in that direction or not.

Stop being so arrogant as to make it your duty to control people and make them see what you see.  Worry about your own faults, your own ego, your own psychological addictions, and open your own eyes.  That is the only responsibility you have.

Render yourself free.

When you interact with the world have in mind a great sense of humility.  Don’t let others put you down, and do not let yourself feel prideful and put down others either.

When you communicate with people, share ideas, express opinions and personal experiences, don’t be attached to this; but be open to other experiences, let yourself learn something new about the experience of someone else.

Observe your own reactions to things, to conversations, to what you encounter in the world.  Observe your ego moving here and there, and control yourself, practice self-control, and do not remain attached to anything at all.

Keep on learning throughout your life, like the wise man, and for that you must become detached and free from thoughts and feelings–know that this is your very prison.  The fool ignores this and remains always attached to his ego, like a very hard rock, like a very stubborn and immobile object.

The light in the storm.

The heavier and longer the hardship, or the challenging and enduring the suffering, the more strength and wisdom that can be absorbed and learned from it, in my own experience; however, one must remain faithful and positive, or at least have some awareness to see your situations through.

Why do you think one has to suffer, or go through losses, or fall into depressing times or challenges in life…??  We all go through it, rich and poor, educated and uneducated, man and woman, young and old; and it all comes to us for a reason, it all fits a design, which your mind does not have to understand really, you just have to be humble enough to accept what is and learn from it.

Whether you think you deserve it or not, accept what is happening right now; and accept that you have much to learn still, even though all the knowledge you have and your past experiences.  Fools ask themselves “Why??” in the very rain and thunder of the storm, but the intelligent ones know to resist the storm and observe it in order to remember what we lived and so learn from it.

Life is truly the greatest teacher, not Jesus, not Buddha, not any other man or deity you worship or to whom you pray; but life is divine, which means that life, YOUR life, is highly conscious, it knows you and it forges you to be a better human being.  The thing is, that life cannot force you to learn from the challenges and hardships it gives you; but that is up to you, either to choose depression and ego, or to choose resilience and wisdom.

Not easy for anyone, but 100% worth it; because each one of us has greatness inside, to build a great destiny or fate or future, or however you want to call it.  But the direction you take is measured by your response to the challenges you live, and the decisions you make in your mind are everything.
