Close to your heart

Trusting others

It might not be our cup of tea. It might not be the way we see things. It might not be what we are use to. But we all need help once in a while. Whatever it is, there is no shame in seeking help. Oftentimes, we think we can do it alone because our desire is there and we feel strong, but sometimes desire is not enough and courage to trust others is required from us.

Courage to change our habits. Courage to leave our pride and old ways. Courage to choose to be better than we were yesterday. It’s easy to remain set in your old habits, traditions, and ways of doing things; but to be better and progress requires great change. Great change in our lives perhaps needs guidance from someone else.

Being humble

Courage to let others help us, guide us, point the way, is about humility. Humility is the opposite of pride. Pride is eating us alive, and it might be taking us on a wrong path. Life is difficult, things are challenging, events unfold unexpectedly. We all go through that. But that is why it is so important to find your people, your tribe, your family; and then let them give you a hand, let them connect with you.

This bond might be just what changes your life for the better, or not so much; but truth is you’ll never know if pride is allowed to fester in your mind. Freedom is about liberating yourself from all that anxiety and burdens you may carry. Sometimes others carry their own burdens, and so they can give you guidance in your own life. Because sometimes is about letting others close to your heart instead of judging so much with your mind.
