What drives

No excuses

The mind adapts and converts itself according to our acts, to our habits. So, never say that you can’t change, or that you are too old and set in your ways, or that you are simply surrounded by the wrong influence.

Our habits drive us, especially the smallest ones, the ones most of us ignore. But what creates character in a person, what creates our whole persona, is our habits daily. So, take a good look at your personal habits.

Self-inquiry is key

Ask yourself: Where do I want to be years from now?? What do I really desire to become?? What are the steps I’m taking now to be the best version of myself tomorrow??

Too many complain now-a-days. Many more wish and pray. But just a very few among us actually take an inner look and create new and better habits.

To get through it

Strong & Firm

One of the most attractive and successful traits to have in life is confidence. No matter what you go through, you must believe in yourself. Belief in myself is what got me through breakups, and deaths in the family, and financial troubles.

Because the fact is that terrible things are going to happen in life, unexpectedly, whether we want it or not; however, if we believe in ourselves, in the capacity to get through it, in the ability to re-build and triumph in the future, we then become strong and firm before any problems we may have.

Committed to your purpose

And there needs to be a vision, a purpose, a goal, in order to believe in yourself and get through whatever life throws at you. Our minds have to seize this positivity and vanquish all negativity, and with this comes the commitment to keep going.

This commitment is paramount. You have to train your mind to let all the worry and frustration go, so the strength to keep moving forward emerges and stays where is supposed to stay in order to bring you clarity and passion to desire to be better.

Your mental health

It requires from you full honesty

If you struggle with depression, or anxiety, or any negative pattern of thinking. If you sometimes feel unworthy, or less than another, or somehow unable to reach certain goals or dreams for yourself. Ask yourself why this is.

But seek the real answer. Don’t blame your genetics fully. Or your childhood fully. Or your surroundings fully. Human beings tend to look outwardly for answers to their issues–from their doctors, from drugs, from genetics, from other people who suffer the same issues, etc.

It requires from you full independence

And that’s what, unbeknownst to you, makes you addicted, and adds to your feelings of inadequacy. If your mind seeks answers outwardly, it becomes dependent on what’s out there. Always.

It becomes an addiction, an obsession, a source for you to seek excuses for your own lack of health. Don’t deny this. By denying it, you are making yourself worse. By denying it, you are dumbing yourself down and neglecting yourself.

It requires from you real change

By neglecting yourself, your psychological and emotional issues grow bigger. So, they grow bigger. You deny some more. You keep seeking answers on the outside.

You keep suffering with no health. And then, because of all this, the cycle continues, your DNA and your subconscious patterns never change. So, avoid yourself all that nonsense. Seek the real answers. Not out there.

The greatest

Free from attachments

The greatest attribute of a person is friendship. Because friendship means honest communication, great patience, the willingness to understand. Because it comes from an open mind, and such is a mind not attached to its own beliefs and opinions.

Any attachments do you harm, without you noticing perhaps. Any attachments make you addictive, irrational, biased, and it takes away your capacity and willingness to accept and even care about the experience of the other person.

Ready

What it takes

-Nothing is more attractive than self-acceptance: To allow yourself to forgive your past, your perceived failures, the injustices done unto you, the less evolved person you were back then.

-Nothing is more empowering than self-belief: To give yourself room to breathe, to stop labeling yourself this and that, to push yourself to be more because you seek to evolve into the best version of yourself.

A person who does this becomes what he/she is supposed to become. This person is ready to take on the world with strength and confidence, knowing that all that is truly needed cannot be taken away from him/her by whatever happens in the roller coaster of life.

Being loved…

Growing up

First, no one deserves love; but as an adult love is something you gain. You gain it by leaving your past hurt and opening your heart to new people. You gain it by learning to be kind, generous, respectful with others.

You gain it by being patient and not impulsive with others. Because if you won’t let go, you cannot move on. And if you won’t leave your comfort zone, you cannot explore something new and better.

And if you won’t see yourself and people in a new light, you cannot gain happiness and love. If you won’t accept your demons and stop fearing them, you cannot embrace your angel and live with joy.

What it is

In short, it is about moving on and learning to love, always in better ways, always towards freedom. The baby is born and for that he is loved.

But growing up means maturing and learning that love requires you to always evolve and learn, which requires the best version of yourself. Because only the best version of yourself will get true love and happiness in life, as only the best version of yourself will understand the words I’ve written here.

Balance

Recognizing the illusion

Why is it that most of us find value in not letting go??  Most of us feel that letting go somehow makes us selfish, disloyal, isolated from others who do not desire to let go either.  Most of us, I’ve found, live in this illusion where attachment is real love.

This is not progressive.  This is not spiritual.  This is not moral.  Because love has nothing to do with the pettiness of attachment, neediness, hatred of change.  It is the main reason I wrote this book, because life is about observing yourself and your own attachment.

That’s the only way to any true progress.

The Work

This work is about the individual and the creation of greater self-awareness. Self-awareness is what is required to live a better life. A life of success. A life of self-development. We focus on the existential chaos of the person. What ails the mind…?? What is the solution…?? And from then, we enlighten ourselves…

Get up 8 times

Self-awareness is key

The human spirit has always been strong, nothing can affect it; however, the unruly one, the one that needs our full attention, is the mind. Too many things can alter the mind and bring it down, to the point that we start believing we are not capable, or worth it, or even deserving of any love and happiness.

But look at your life, minus the troubles and anxiety your mind creates. There you find your source for strength. Self-awareness is this exercise I’ve mentioned, when you stop using your mind so much and stop accepting whatever thought pops up in there.

You get up the eighth time by becoming aware of yourself. “The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times.” ~ Paulo Coelho.

What is a desire??

So I desire you, but beyond desire.

This longing. This need. This urge. This impulse. This passion that burns in me. It can be blinding. It can distort my reality and make me selfish.

It is a burden on my day. A constant itch that makes me impatient. A thing in my mind which makes me attached to what is not mine.

So, I analyze the sweltering passion in this desire. So, I become the watcher of my longing. What is it?? The surface. The smoothness and ruggedness of the thought material.

The muse of my dreams and nightmares. And the muse is beautiful, like a perfect scented flower. And the muse is deceitful, like a controlling lover.

But beyond my desire’s surface I find its very material, its core, its love’s essence. Why do I love it?? Why do I want it so?? It speaks to me. But only when I discover it.

This essence I love, I cannot live without, is the ocean of my existence. And I am my existence, am I not?? I’ve discovered my own existence, which my mind chooses to call desire when it points to you.

So I desire you, but beyond desire.

About life…

Meaning

Giving meaning to life is the greatest joy, but also the greatest challenge. Most of us spend years without it, trying, existing, suffering. So it is unique, you must find it in yourself and not fall in the influence of groups–like family, like religion, like what’s popular in society.

And how goes one about doing it?? The first thing is to be able to listen clearly to your intuition. The voices in your head sometimes might sound right, filled with knowledge and direction; but they also make you doubtful and anxious (the opposite of intuitive).

Silence

This, of course, makes you highly intellectual. And the more intellectual you are, the less able to get out of your head and listen to your intuition. The more intellectual you are, the more influenced by systems, groups, knowledge floating in society.

Finding meaning in your life then is about silencing your mind from the noise and rants coming from the outside. Silencing your mind renders you capable to easily find your unique passions and heartfelt desires. This leads you, evidently, to understand your place and purpose in this life.
