What is a desire??

So I desire you, but beyond desire.

This longing. This need. This urge. This impulse. This passion that burns in me. It can be blinding. It can distort my reality and make me selfish.

It is a burden on my day. A constant itch that makes me impatient. A thing in my mind which makes me attached to what is not mine.

So, I analyze the sweltering passion in this desire. So, I become the watcher of my longing. What is it?? The surface. The smoothness and ruggedness of the thought material.

The muse of my dreams and nightmares. And the muse is beautiful, like a perfect scented flower. And the muse is deceitful, like a controlling lover.

But beyond my desire’s surface I find its very material, its core, its love’s essence. Why do I love it?? Why do I want it so?? It speaks to me. But only when I discover it.

This essence I love, I cannot live without, is the ocean of my existence. And I am my existence, am I not?? I’ve discovered my own existence, which my mind chooses to call desire when it points to you.

So I desire you, but beyond desire.

Reading…

So, are you reading yet??

And what is it about a great book, or about the right book??

-It’s the emotional connection when you read, just knowing the characters, or the author, feel like you do.

-It’s the message hidden in each event you read, such which brings you insights and reminders regarding your own life.

-It’s the motivating journey similar to the journey in your life, which motivates you and inspires you.

-It’s the fact that it brings you a deeper understanding of life, one where there are less limitations, one where you can aspire to something even greater than your current situation.

-It’s the break it gives you from the hardships and injustices in your life, where your brain can rewire itself and strengthen itself.

It’s the great expansion of your imagination as you read, the greater knowledge and insights, beliefs and opinions changing your subconscious and maybe altering your old programming.

So, are you reading yet??

Beyond loss

So, tell me, who is your best friend…??

Don’t cry for your dead. Don’t cry for your loss. Don’t cry for what was. Attachment to feelings of great loss are just insecurities brewing in the mind. These insecurities are baseless and originating from the fear of change–contempt for the new, addiction to the old.

Grief is nature’s answer from love. But holding on to this grief is the selfish answer from attachment. Constantly drowning in your sorrow is the choice that paralyzes you, and whoever drowns himself is doing it because he enjoys being paralyzed.

And who said that death, loss, hurt, is the end?? It is but a distorted idea, a crude concept, a piteous mirage of the unaware mind. It is designed by groups, by families who mourn, by a broken society of noise, by people without introspection.

Loneliness is poor quality of existence. Loneliness is when the mind falls in a state of fascination with the noise of the crowd. Loneliness is the disease born from the lack of friendship with yourself.

So, tell me, who is your best friend…??

About life…

Meaning

Giving meaning to life is the greatest joy, but also the greatest challenge. Most of us spend years without it, trying, existing, suffering. So it is unique, you must find it in yourself and not fall in the influence of groups–like family, like religion, like what’s popular in society.

And how goes one about doing it?? The first thing is to be able to listen clearly to your intuition. The voices in your head sometimes might sound right, filled with knowledge and direction; but they also make you doubtful and anxious (the opposite of intuitive).

Silence

This, of course, makes you highly intellectual. And the more intellectual you are, the less able to get out of your head and listen to your intuition. The more intellectual you are, the more influenced by systems, groups, knowledge floating in society.

Finding meaning in your life then is about silencing your mind from the noise and rants coming from the outside. Silencing your mind renders you capable to easily find your unique passions and heartfelt desires. This leads you, evidently, to understand your place and purpose in this life.

Within you

Knowledge of self

There is no knowledge like the knowledge of self. Sure, you can go to school, university, and spend years understanding the universe, science, business, and everything else to prosper in society. But there is no real wisdom in this process of outward education.

There is merit in being prepared indeed, but the light of conscience is only reached when you stop your mind and go inwards. Something not many do, because in going inwards you encounter all the truth about you; and most escape their own darkness, the truth about them that makes them anxious and insecure.

But in going inwards with commitment and purpose you gain courage, control, confidence, and you become the best version of yourself. You lose all fear, because the only fear existed in you before you met yourself intimately. Now you have become conscious. Now you have reached the light.

To remind yourself…

So is life

Sometimes it’s easy to lose purpose, or vision, or that strength to keep going in life. I deal with this too, and I have to catch myself in this desperation. Because sometimes we don’t get what we want, or we are not doing as well as we hoped, or we lost something or someone important.

Well, this is life. It happens to the best of us. The challenge is to become aware that we feel this depression, because sometimes we are too lost in our own thinking.

Remember your value

But one thing I’ve learned is that, no matter how bad the situation gets, I can always remind myself that I’m worthy, that I’ve made it this far in my life because I am good at something. See, I think the worst one can do is to forget the value each one of carry inside.

I don’t know you, but I don’t need to know you really. Because we all have a past. We have failed, we have tried, we have been lost; but we have also been successful, proud of ourselves, joyful at some past achievement.

So, the smart thing is to remember that we’ve made it to this point; and that we have conquered, we have built ourselves, we have our unique experience in something. From there, just keep on learning and moving on, building a better future and enjoying your journey in life.

Free from debt

I run away from debt

Think about people in debt. The constant stress. The extreme fear of being chased by debt collectors. The guilt and anxiety when they must buy the necessary to live. What freedom do they really have??

I personally despise to be in debt. That is why I put self-control as the priority. Now-a-days we have commerce everywhere, these ads on the internet offering us this and that, the normal impulse to buy and increase our well-being.

But is it worth it?? I mean, if we lack introspection and self-control to say ‘No’ to ourselves, to stop us from buying what we do not really need, then what kind of future our we creating.

Save what you can

Saving money is extremely important, which is something I’ve learned really late in my life. But I’m glad I have, and I’m glad I can truly see how my life can change by adopting the wise habit of saving money. Because money does not bring happiness, my friend; but it brings safety and stability in our lives.

And we all need safety and stability, don’t we?? We all need to be able to breathe and be able to know we can pay our rent, our food, our clothing, and help our loved ones. So, please, give a deep thought to this simple message. Save, whatever you can; but save with each paycheck you get.

Better lives

Too much anxiety

I feel that worry is only truly useful when we can change an outcome. Too much worry, that anxiety that makes you feel fearful and frustrated, self-doubt and self-conscious, can be really damaging for our well-being.

I’m not talking about the worry of the mother for her son on his 1st day of school. I’m talking about the worry of, for example, what other people think of you, or the worry that comes from thinking about the job you applied for, or the worry from your financial situation that is also stressing you and making you angry even with the people around you.

Just do your best

We live better lives if we are brave, which means detaching ourselves from this useless worry and anxiety, letting go from the mental ritual of overthinking. I always say ‘I’ll change whatever I can. The rest is not up to me’. Life is a roller coaster. Up and down.

Sometimes we don’t even know where it’s going. But the only power, the greatest power we have in fact, is to steer our mind into greater purpose. This means that we should seek to be more serene and easygoing. Go with the flow. Do our best, let the rest be.

What nourishes your soul…??

“Veils of fear to drop.”

If I could only show you this love story,
If you could only see the flames yourself;
But it goes far beyond this fake world,
And its passion is seen not by the eyes.

Passing through the garden of past burdens,
You have to fly over the waters of anxiety,
Then you’ll soar across the skies of self-doubt,
And over the rainbow of the self and its voices.

This is about finding the greatest freedom,
And about letting your heart inspire you.
This is about allowing the veils of fear to drop,
And about following what nourishes your soul.

The truth of it

The intimate enemy

Let’s be honest with ourselves. Addictions are bad habits. The unawareness in most of us always tells us that we are in control. But is that really true….?? Think about it. Let’s think about the daily things:

Many are addicted to sugar. Many others to alcohol. Many to negative thinking. Many more to jealousy. An addiction is a program running in your subconscious, running you daily, whether you accept it or not.

Your subconscious tells your mind and body how to behave, what to like and dislike, what to crave and obsess over. And all of it unbeknownst to you as part of your day-to-day persona.

Waking up

These programs have been adopted in our pasts (childhood mostly). And it is exactly what makes human beings automatons, robots; when we are not aware of the unhealthy programs running us.

See, it is not about the establishment, the elite, the government, religions, little “rebellious” groups on social media, etc. It is about each one of us individually. The challenge is to wake up from your own dream, from your own unhealthy habits/the illusions from your past holding you back.
