Self-help life truths.

The bird that flies.

“We know that in tough times, cynicism is just another way to give up; and in the military, we consider cynicism or giving up simply as forms of cowardice.”  ~ James Mattis; American Marine Corps general, and United States Secretary of Defense.

Yes, it is true that life is challenging and painful, and this is why life, this wonderful physical existence we have been gifted with, is precious and rich; and this is also why it requires a higher mind, a higher person living based on truth and love, to understand why you should see life as what it is and not as what you think it is.  Look, if you see life as what you think it is, as what your thoughts are telling you it is, then you will probably end up suffering in all you do and even killing yourself because of all the enormous stresses weighing you down; however, if you put aside your opinions and immature thoughts about life, and so see it as what really is, then you will definitely thrive and gain the wisdom to move forward even when things seem dark in your path.

Life is like a little child:  If you use violence and try to force your own way, then the child will become resentful and unruly, disobedient and with a vengeful heart towards you and towards others.  But if you use good communication, trust and faith on the child, and, most importantly, patience in the rearing of that same child, then he will become giving and obedient to you, he will do as you say and make life really easy for you.

People adopt certain postures and views of life, either positive or negative and for whatever reason, this process can either blind people in darkness or turn on a powerful light on them, but always remember that life, in its natural or divine context, is pure and innocent like the child; so, it will do based on your thoughts, words, and attitudes, and like the child it will take the course you are telling it to take.  And like the child, life will observe you and see if you give up on it or not; then, if life sees that you give up on it, it will take offense and resentment, it will give you your deserved reward, the reward of someone that gives up and has no faith; but if life sees the patience and faith you have on it, the commanding voice and the deep love, then you will be blessed with great rewards and a life of a great attitude towards you..

The light at the end of the ladder which is your path is always brilliant and refreshing, but we cannot see it sometimes, or even feel it, because we let darkness, knowingly or unknowingly, overwhelm us with its presence.  And darkness always lives within us because it is that negative part in our human psyches, that challenging part which gives worth to that physical existence I was mentioning at the start; on the other hand, we have been given powerful light within us as well, to battle and extinguish that same darkness from affecting us to the point of breakdown–i.e., because our bodies and minds are like very sophisticated computers, they can either run with power and efficiency, or breakdown with poisonous viruses and lack of good maintenance of the software.

You are the maintenance of your own sophisticated computer, so it is up to you!

In order not to give up and let darkness take you over in life, you MUST become aware of your thoughts and emotions, not let thoughts and emotions dictate your existence but raise above them and rule them like a god rules over lesser beings.  By becoming proactive and practical, by stepping out of your funk and out of your own biased opinions and narrow views of the sadness and pain in life, you become truly aware and faithful and patient towards life; consequently, life will become your best friend and you will start seeing opportunities and reasons to feel happy every single day (some may call this blessings, but in essence it is just that you are following the Universal Law and not going against it).

Being creative and engaging in activities that create good thoughts and feelings in us, specially when darkness and misery knock our psychological door, is the biggest and most important tool life, in its wisdom, has given us to battle these demons of darkness.  This is not about denying pain and misery, or not feeling the ugly things about life, but this is about not letting darkness and misery consume you.  This is about the bird that flies into the vastness of the blue sky, and not about the bird of broken wings that lies in the dirt waiting to be trampled by someone.

As Napoleon Hill said, and it is in fact a powerful writing hanging on my wall which I contemplate every single day, “A Quitter Never Wins.  A WINNER Never Quits.”

And I never give up.  I always steer to win.

Mastermind (PART 3)

“Nothing  in  this  world  can  take  the  place  of  persistence.  Talent  will  not:  nothing  is  more  common  than  unsuccessful  men  with  talent.  Genius  will  not;  unrewarded  genius  is  almost  a  proverb.  Education  will  not:  the  world  is  full  of  educated  derelicts.  Persistence  and  determination  alone  are  omnipotent.  ~ Calvin  Coolidge;  lawyer,  politician,  governor,  and  President  of  The  United  States.

This is PART 3 of a short series of blogs on Mastermind  Leadership from a book I am writing, titled:  “Inner Wealth.  Outer Wealth.,” which deals with the spiritual, mental, and physical processes of all success achievement in life.

–Earlier, or in yesterday’s blog, I talked about Collective Mastermind and further specifics on forming a promising team which thinks and is driven like in your road to success.

I mentioned, among many other things, that if  you  want  others  to  feel  comfortable  around  you  and  work  by  your  side,  then,  there  is  no  other  way.  Human  beings  accomplish  more  and  greater  things  when  they  work  together  towards  the  same  goal.

Now, A little bit about persistence in the mastermind as the greatest organizational tool of the true and wise leader.

Greater  organization  is  persisting  through  it  all.

You  must  always  have  in  mind  that  you  have  now  made  the  most  important  decision  of  your  life,  which  is  to  continue  in  the  path  to  success,  which,  to  be  an  earnest  and  heartfelt  decision,  should  be  based  on  discipline  and  deep  love.  Discipline  to  stay  the  challenging  path  to  success,  and  deep  love  to  regard  your  vision  as  sacred.  Nothing  exalts  the  mind  of  man  more  than  an  ambitious  and  sincere  goal  founded  on  pure  love  for  the  development  of  his  vision,  and  nothing  attracts  success,  in  all  facets  of  the  human  experience,  more  than  an  ambitious  and  sincere  man  with  goals;  so,  it  goes  without  saying  then,  that  attraction  quality  living  in  the  realm  of  the  invisible  cannot   remain  if  the  man  with  the  ambitious  and  sincere  goals  has  weakened  and  lost  his  way.

As  we  mentioned  in  chapter  1,  “The  most  destructive  and  wicked  force,  and  the  most  creative  and  beautiful  force  as  well;  therein  lies  all  human  power,  all  human  achievement  of  good  and  evil,  the  mighty  height  of  your  Higher  or  Lower  Consciousness,  your  hidden  genius  or  your  chosen  mediocrity,  your  self-destruction  or  embraced  immortality.  Because  it  all  depends  on  you,  and  just  on  you.”  The  key  then  is  to  recognize  the  conscious  mind  as  just  a  tool,  and  not  let  it  design  fear  and  confusion   out  of  the  challenges  you  will  encounter.  This  is  the  greater  organization  of  your  mind,  which  evolves  into  steely  persistence,  because  in  recognizing  the  conscious  mind  as  just  a  tool  then  you  become  wise  and  resilient,  able  to  withstand  the  blows  coming  from  life’s  challenges  and  the  so-called  “failures”  you  may  encounter.

You  do  have  to  make  perfectly  sure  that  your  own  mastermind,  your  own  mental  planning  and  analysis  of  the  way  to  your  vision,  and  to  develop  that  vision,  is  unflawed  or  as  best  it  can  be  as  a  process  of  evolution,  because  this  is  the  grand,  dynamic,  powerful  foundation  which  will  serve  to  build  on  and  motivate  you  further,  or  keep  you  motivated  and  pumped  up  whenever  negative  things  or  thoughts  appear  in  your  experience.  Challenges  in  life  will  only  make  you  stronger  and  wiser  to  your  goal  if  you  have  a  strong  and  organized  foundation,  but  if  your  foundation  is  weak  and  disorganized  then  they  will  depress  you  and  bring  you  down  with  the  first  blow;  so,  like  the  professional  boxer  before  the  grand  fight,  you  have  to  visualize  the  opponent  beforehand  and  analyze  his  form  and  style,  then  you  can  understand  the  mindset  you  must  espouse  in  order  to  be  prepared  to  resist  the  blows  or  even  to  get  back  up.

tho

Many  men  around  the  world  never  achieve  great  success,  even  though  they  might  be  extremely  talented  and  clever,  because  of  that  very  fact,  they  neglect  the  condition  of  mind  they  have  to  adopt,  they  do  not  visualize  the  challenges  and  issues  which  could  rest  in  wait  for  them;  but,  what  they  are  good  at  doing  is  visualize  the  ultimate  goal  of  their  desire  and  none  of  the  blows  they  could  receive  on  their  path,  and  that  brings  the  mind  to  a  constant  illusion  which  also  weakens  their  decision  and  forms  subconsciously  so  they  fall  hard  on  the  ring  mat  when  things  do  not  go  as  planned.  When  things  go  wrong  or  not  as  you  planned,  do  not  panic  or  feel  down  like  a  sheep,  be  calmed  and  collected,  tame  your  unruly  mind  and  take  charge  like  a  lion,  go  back  and  analyze  your  plans  and  if  you  need  to  change  them  or  tweak  them  a  little,  then,  do  it.

No  real  man  achieves  great  success  in  any  function  by  giving  in  to  stress  and  fear,  or  by  letting  life’s  challenges  and  seeming  setbacks  belittle  him  and  his  efforts;  however,  you  need  to  incorporate  into  your  very  biology  this  universal  law  right  now,  that  the  harder  the  challenges  presented  in  your  life,  the  more  you  will  receive  from  the  universe  in  terms  of  success  if  you  remain  strong  and  resilient  throughout  those  hard  challenges.  After  those  challenges,  you  will  stand  tall  and  mighty  to  get  your  rewards,  and  you  will  be  a  new  man,  wiser,  more  confident,  more  powerful,  stronger  of  mind  and  body.  Persistence  is  just  that,  not  letting  anything  come  between  yourself  and  your  vision  for  success.  You  are  the  driver  and  the  one  being  driven,  and  you  have  to  visualize  the  route  you’ll  take;  so,  if  you  take  a  bad  route  in  spite  of  your  good  planning  and  efforts,  do  not  fret  and  become  a  victim,  take  a  rest  for  a  moment  and  plan  a  new  route,  and  again,  and  again,  until  you  have  mastered  the  meandering  road  to  success.

Let  us  take  as  an  example  Milton  Hershey,  founder  of  the  famous  ‘Hershey  Chocolate  Company,’  which  really  embraced  the  mastermind  process  and  became  persistence  itself.  Mr.  Hershey  left   school  in  the  fourth  grade  and  worked  as  an  apprentice  for  a  printmaker,  but  that  did  not  work  and  soon  he  was  fired.  He  then  became  an  apprentice  to  a  candy  manufacturer  in  Lancaster,  PA,  where  he  studied  and  practiced  the  skill  of  making  candy  for  about  four  years.  Full  of  confidence  and  motivation  then,  he  started  his  own  company,  who  soon  failed.  Not  giving  in  to  stress  and  fear,  he  started  another  company,  which,  regardless  of  his  planning,  it  failed  again.  But  he  had  become  the  very  heart  of  persistence  by  now,  so  he  dust  himself  off  and  continued  by  building  another  company,  which  did  not  succeed  either.  Seeing  that  the  companies,  located  in  Philadelphia,  Chicago  and  New  York,  he  had  worked  so  hard  to  build  had  not  given  him  the  success  his  heart  deeply  desired,  he  went  back  in  his  mind  and  came  up  with  new  ideas  and  better  organization  of  his  vision.

He  then  moved  back  to  Lancaster  and  initiated  the  ‘Lancaster  Caramel  Company,’  but  now,  with  his  own  caramel  recipe  added,  it  became  finally  a  success;  however,  he  was  a  visionary  and  a  true  leader,  so  he  knew  that  the  future  and  the  greater  opportunity  for  him  rested  upon  chocolate-making  (because  the  Swiss  owned  that  delicacy  and  he  wanted  to  innovate  it  here  in  the  U.S.),  so  he  sold  his  caramel  company  for  about  (what  would  be  considered  in  today’s  currency)  $26  million  and  started  the  famous  and  extremely  successful  Hershey  Chocolate  Company.  And  so,  as  you  can  tell  from  this  great  man,  not  only  did  Mr.  Hershey  persist  through  the  many  blows  life  gave  him,  but  he  also  did  it  at  home  and  helped  embellish  and  strengthen  the  very  spirit  of  his  vast  community  by  creating  hundreds  of  jobs,  by  building  churches,  houses,  and  schools;  thus,  he  became  cemented  as  a  true  legend  and  hero  for  many  in  Pennsylvania.

Henry  Ford,  for  example,  designed  extremely  great  success  and  prosperity,  not  because  he  possessed  a  higher  intellect  than  you  or  anybody  else,  but  because  he  created  his  own  mastermind,  individual  and  collective,  and  so  organized  his  ideas  through  real  commitment  and  persistence.  Persistence  in  the  face  of  adversity  is  key  to  accomplishing  everything  you  really  want  in  life.  See,  Mr.  Ford  knew  that  he  wasn’t  the  most  qualified  and  educated,  cunning  and  talented,  person  in  the  world,  but  he  never  let  that  weak  fact  bring  down  his  vision  and  passion  for  success;  for  he,  like  Hershey,  had  something  most  men  with  better  education  and  higher  intelligence,  and  even  money  for  a  smoother  business  ride,  did  not  have:  PERSISTENCE.

PERSISTENCE

Tomorrow, PART 4 of Mastermind Leadership, about delegating, its importance in all growth, and its extreme organization.

Mastermind (PART 1)

“We come this way but once.  We can either tiptoe through life and hope we get to death without being badly bruised or we can live a full, complete life achieving our goals and realizing our wildest dreams.”  – Bob Proctor; businessman, business consultant, and motivational speaker.

This is PART 1 of a short series of blogs on Mastermind  Leadership from a book I am writing, titled:  “Inner Wealth.  Outer Wealth.,” which deals with the spiritual, mental, and physical processes of all success achievement in life.

The  forces  behind  leadership  are  crucial  for  the development  of  the  passion  and  ambition  to  move  forward  with  your  heartfelt  desire  to  create  success,  including  a  business  venture  and/or  a  more  personal  growth.  Does  not  matter  the  intellect  and  even  creative  powers  you  have,  you  must  become  a  leader  and  build  mastermind  within  yourself  and  also  through  connecting  with  others  which  regard  passion  and  ambition  to  thrive  like  you;  in  this,  follow  that  wise  adage  that  goes,  “Two  heads  are  better  than  one”—i.e.,  two  minds,  or  three,  or  four,  certainly  can  create  and  resolve  more  than  one  can  in  your  path  to  success.

You  will  need  structure  and  organization  of  your  ideas,  self-discipline  in  your  vision  of  what  you  want,  frame  it  and  own  it  in  your  mind  first,  you  need  to  see  it  and  experience  it  like  a  movie  in  your  mind  via  the  great  essence  of  your  imagination;  and  this  means  that  desire  will  not  be  enough,  for  desire  is  just  a  humble  start  and,  by  its  lonesome,  it  can  wane  or  lose  itself  in  the  distractions  of  everyday  life.  But  desire  may  turn  strong  and  powerful,  it  can  transmute  itself  into  the  material  realm  through  your  own  mastermind  and  sharpening  of  your  vision;  however,  baby  steps  will  make  sure  your  vision  is  realized,  careful  and  persistent  action  must  become  you  and  you  must  become  it.

Two  steps  are  key  to  turn  desire  into  energetic  or  dynamic  action:

     1) First,  Individual  Mastermind,  or  its  elevated  process,  is  primarily  analytical,  belonging  to  and  within  your  own  mind  only,  the  detail  and  structure  of  your  mental  energies  to  create  the  image  and  steps  to  it  into  the  realm  of  the  material  form.

     2)  Following,  there  is  the  Collective  Mastermind,  such  which  belongs  to  a  group  seeking  the  same  intention  as  you,  and  its  process  is  all  about  further  design  of  that  vision  that  was  first  conceived  within  your  rich  mind,  and  it  is  also  about  the  organization  of  the  steps  to  take  to  fruition  based  on  the  different  views  and  knowledge  each  member  of  the  group  brings.

In  order  to  fulfill  the  natural  desire  of  eating  a  specific  meal,  you  must  first  take  certain  steps  of  exact  analysis  in  your  mind,  steps  which  you  surely  take  speedily  and  without  much  effort;  thus,  you  visualize  the  food  you  want,  its  detailed  structure  and  the  experience  along  it,  then  you  must  search  in  your  memory  bank  if  this  food  item  is  something  you  have  already  at  home  or  if  you  have  to  visit  the  grocery  store  for  it.  Then  this  same  mental  energy  transmutes  itself  into  kinetic  energy,  and  either  you  go  to  your  kitchen  for  the  food  item  you  want  or  go  to  the  grocery  store.

This  is,  obviously,  the  basic  example  of  mastermind  in  general,  and  one  has  to  respect  and  follow  all  the  steps  to  fruition  in  all  cases  while  ignoring  the  level  of  importance  they  may  present;  accordingly,  the  mental  process  is,  with  a  tweak  here  and  another  tweak  there,  basically  the  same  as  in  your  more  ambitious  ventures.

Both  mental  processes  start  with  conscious  energies  which  are  transmuted  into  kinetic  energies.  Both  mental  processes  have  a  strong  intention  which  needs  a  deliberate  action.  The  great  issue  here  is  the  commitment,  the  great  energy  quantity,  to  that  desire  to  afford  the  steps  of  mastermind;  because  the  commitment  to  food  is  not  the  same  as  the  commitment  to  professional  success,  or  the  great  quantity  of  energy  behind  satiating  your  desire  for  food  is  not  the  same  as  the  great  quantity  of  energy  behind  reaching  professional  success.  The  quantity  of  energy  you  accumulate,  enrich  and  process  for  longer  periods  of  time  will  determine  your  level  of  leadership;  ergo,  for  example,  going  to  the  grocery  store  or  making  this  determination  to  satiate  hunger  will  not  require  as  much  energy  as  building  your  way  to  professional  success,  and  so  true  leadership  is  found  in  the  latter  ambition.

Leadership  is  the  association  of  energies  living  in  your  consciousness  to  self-discipline  your  mortal  mind  and  lead  your  absolute  focus  to  target  in  spite  of  space  and  time  anomalies.  The  value  of  leadership  brings  the  strength  and  structure  of  the  mastermind  you  need  to  develop  your  idea  from  thought-form  into  actual  dynamic  delivery,  and  this  entails  as  well  the  mastermind  alliance  with  other  people  which  carry  the  same  ambition  and  intention.

mastermind_bubbles

Now,  this  group  or  team  (which  may  be  any  number  you  need)  will  require  you  to  pay  a  toll,  or  to  create  some  kind  of  value  for  them  to  join  you,  for  this  is  when  your  leadership  comes  into  play  by  connecting  you  to  your  environment,  by  the  very  process  of  bringing  out  the  value  you  have  created  within  yourself  (within  your  vision)  and  thus  developing  meaningful  relationships;  therefore,  nothing  is  for  free,  especially  in  the  road  to  success,  see  it  as  an  exchange  for  their  unity,  loyalty,  and  power  brought  to  your  passionate  cause.  This is your collective mastermind.

Tomorrow, PART 2 of Mastermind Leadership, specific guides or ways to creative mastermind within the group.

The human miracle.

There  are  only  two  ways  to  live  your  life.  One  is  as  though nothing  is  a  miracle.  The  other  is  as  if  everything  is.” ~ Albert  Einstein;  German-American  physicist.

The following is an excerpt of a book I just started writing, titled, “Inner Wealth!  Outer Wealth!”

The  brain  and  the  mind,  of  course,  are  two  very  different  things,  working  in  tandem  but  very  different  from  each  other;  but,  as  it  were,  the  ego’s  deceit  makes  it  look  like  they  are  one  and  the  same  (the  ever-nagging  duality  of  the  truly  mental  energies  and  the  basic  physical  ones),  because  that  is  how  most  people  experiences  this  phenomenon  on  a  daily routine—the  brain  emits  thoughts  and  this  is  the  mind,  plain  and  simple  this  is  the  common  belief  of  the  average  person.

Now,  to  find  out  the  reality  we  must  delve  deeper  into  that  which  is  mental  science,  so  one  must  come  to  understand  that  thought  is  simply  a  physical  tool,  that’s it,  a  “dead”  object  itself—like  things  emerging  or  being  thrown  at  us  to  be  used  to  navigate  and  make  choices  in  our  daily  living—which  is  completely  mechanical,  crass,  base,  and  which  creates  from  the  past  and  the  future  because  it  lives  indeed  in  the  past  and  the  future.  Like  we  have  seen  before  this  chapter,  thought  is  just  a  reflection  of  our  physical  senses  on  the  outside  environment,  obviously,  to  sense  our  way  in  this  material  universe;  and  this  is  why  thought  is  mechanical  and  base,  objective  and  dualistic  in  nature,  always  changing  and  obsessive  if  maintained  unruly,  for  the  mentioned  reason  that  it  acts  upon  what  the  physical  senses  receive  or  gather  from  the  outer  world,  the  ever-changing  environment,  and  so  thought  in  our  conscious  mind  is  an  entity  which  is  physical  itself  and  subject  to  all  change.

Having  established  that  premise,  for  thought  to  be  born  and  emerge  within  the  physical  brain,  via  electric  signals  and  chemicals,  there  has  to  be  “space”  for  it  to  flow  unencumbered,  a  space  in  which  it  can  gravitate  and  expand  if  it  shall  become  a  thought  we  may  choose  to  officiate,  perhaps  a  vast  grid  where  it  swims  and  it  flourishes  and  ferments  (a  field-stream  where  the  seed  or  thought  can  germinate  richly)  to  create  great  ideas  to  thus  move  our  life  forward,  to  innovate  our  unique  craft,  to  weave  inspirational  stories  from  the  past  and  mold  our  future,  and  to  finally  bestow  upon  life  schemes  of  love  or  hatred.

This  vast  grid  or  space  in  which  thought  can  emerge  and  manifest,  as  an  idea  that  grows  and  grows,  is  the  mighty  but  misused  human  mind;  so,  as  one  can  easily  tell  by  now,  thoughts  are  like  ripples  or  waves,  and  the  mind  is  like  the  ocean.

108eebdd3117803856fe06081baff36c

The  human  brain  then  acts  as  a  receiving  and  also  signaling  antenna  for  energy  patterns  residing  within  the  mind  itself,  which  exist  as  consciousness  conveyed  in  the  physical  form  of  thought.  Thoughts  are  not  created  out  of  nothing  and  not  only  out  of  our  own  physical  senses,  but  they  are  “dead”  objects  flowing  in  and  out  of  this  vast  grid—such  being  a  grid  of  in-formation  and  energy  fields  known  to  science  as  Attractors.  Thoughts  are  then  constantly  flowing  when  the  conscious  mind  is  on  (when  one  is  awake)—i.e.,  your  thoughts,  my  thoughts,  everybody  else’s  thoughts  swimming  in  this  vast  grid  or  ocean—but  arranged  to  each  Attractor  or  energy  field—i.e.,  my  energy  field,  your  energy  field,  etc.  etc.

But,  however  personal  these  thoughts  flowing  to,  and  within,  each  Attractor  Field  are,  still,  people  quite  often  might  pick  up  the  thoughts  of   somebody  else  since,  like  above-mentioned,  the  brain  acts  as  a  receiving  and  signaling  antenna  and  this  antenna,  depending  on  how  powerful  it  is,  does  not  discriminate  among  different  signals  that  might  cross  the  individual  Attractor  Field.

Needless  to  say,  our  individual  brain  receives  the  thought,  molds  it  to  our  own physical  senses,  computes  the  new  information  gathered  and  creates  our  unique  perspective.

For  example,  a  great  artist  in  one  side  of  the  world  has  access  to  an  inspiring  idea,  in  the  form  of  raw  energy,  to  create  a  wonderful  masterpiece,  and  that  same  idea  is  also  available  to  be  picked  up  from  this  grid  by  the  brain  of  a  janitor  living  on  the  other  side  of  the  world;  however,  the  difference  here  is  that  the  physical  and  mechanical  brain  of  the  artist  has  been  conditioned  and  strengthened  for  years  in  creativity  and  innovation  through  self-discipline  (could  be  more  grey  matter  formed,  more  neural  connections  in  the  physical  brain,  etc.)  to  receive  this  grand  signal  he  will  turn  into  a  great  idea,  but  the  janitor’s  brain  is  not  prepared  to  receive  this  signal  (could  be  not  enough  knowledge  of  the  craft,  less  neural  connections,  polluted  brain  by  drugs  or  unhealthy  foods  or  poisons  of  any  kind,  etc.)  thus  he  will  not  access  this  mental  energy.

Of  course,  this  is  just  an  example  and  in  no  way  I  mean  to  say  that  a  janitor  couldn’t  achieve  great  accomplishments  as  the  artist;  even  so,  the  message  here  is  clear,  that  preparing  the  brain  through  self-discipline,  for  as  long  as  it  takes,  is  all  there  is  to  access  these  wonderful,  raw  energies  of  mental  origin.

The  molding,  shaping,  and  managing  of  these  energies  create  genius  as  we  know  it  in  our  human  society.

“Keep your dreams alive.  Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication.  Remember all things are possible for those who believe.”  ~ Gail Devers; American track and field athlete, Olympic champion, World champion.

Living a whole and constantly fruitful life is running the business of life, just like running your job at the office or at the production line or along the road delivering pizzas; however, the business of life requires much more focus and attention, because the business of life should be based (and most of the time people forget this) on our inner worth and not on the worth of what we do or in the worth of the company we work for.  Quite often, we set ourselves adrift and follow the popular trends, follow the constant pace of the hubbub, and there is a loss of focus upon what is really important, we get thus sidetracked by the popular news or by the new gossip or by the pressures of this or that.  Our minds get overwhelmed and altered constantly, distancing themselves greatly from all focus and determination, just like a ship with no engine and no particular destination.

We then become blinded by mental stress and the narrow reality we create for ourselves; so, we tend to disrupt our peace and forget about our inner worth, going through life not seeing the good but the bad–i.e. not being aware of opportunities for real growth, such which can relate and connect us to natural life itself as it is really intended and not as we may be led by stress to see it.

And life itself has a rhythm, unlike the office which is ran by rules and man-made concepts of what success is, and this life is then harmonious and perfect, not random or ruled by “luck,” it always has an enlightening purpose and bright horizon to offer to the awakened ones who are able to recognize the hidden lessons in it (even the tragedies we live have something hidden which we can use to elevate our minds into better futures).  But the challenges can be daunting nonetheless and so we must remain cool-headed amidst tragedy and confusion, while we value ourselves and work hard to overcome all those obstacles that serve the purpose to mold and shape us into better and more developed individuals to seize greater opportunities; hence, this is useful to have in mind in all facets of life, from the stresses of work to the dues we pay in our life.

If you expect to see great opportunities appearing in your path, that great promotion, the bright side of that challenge, the value within your relationship, or that growth within yourself to achieve more in life, there is something you must always rely on, hard work and dedication to your cause; therefore, opportunities for growth and all that you want will appear in your life if you maintain focus on your goals and not get distracted or deviated from your path by stress or challenges, and hard work and dedication towards a set goal will alter your mind in such a way that you will see opportunities that you had not been able to see before.

th

A strong purpose upon a set goal will sharpen your senses and redirect your view with a mighty vision of the future, and noble intention included in that purpose will emotionally strengthen you and add that love you need to stay on your path without getting overwhelmed and deviated by stresses and challenges.  This is vital and extremely powerful energy to build patience and understanding, perseverance and character, which will give you the confidence and deeper insight to see beyond those challenges.

Keep going, even though you may see only tragedy and hurt in your path at the moment, because fear and courage are two sides of the same coin; which is why the fearful can become the fearless literally in the wink of an eye, for it only takes the wisdom to mentally turn around that coin and jump from fearful to fearless, and thus change your conscious awareness of life, of your reality, and of what you should do to reach your goals.  And this is my own experience.

The diamond in the rough (1-min. read)

“By constant self-discipline and self-control you can develop greatness of character.” ~ Grenville Kleiser; instructor in public speaking and motivational speaker and author.

When I was a child I had a very serious foot surgery, or surgery of a serious flat feet condition.  After this surgery, I had extremely painful months without moving, and then I had to learn to walk again going through therapy and whatnot.  From that serious challenge in my life, one which I always remember when I look at the huge warrior scars left on each side of my feet, I learned that the path to self-discipline is patience and unwavering focus on the higher goals one has, which in my case back then was the goal of my utter recovery from that feet condition to thus start walking again in my normal living, to go back to the clear and complete functioning of my legs and feet.  But, most importantly, I learned that self-discipline itself lies in the details of the direction of our thoughts.  I came to the realization that to have self-discipline one needs to give a certain useful direction to thought-energies, because it is all about how to use and guide mental energies.

See, thoughts are powerful energy, but misguided or diamond-in-the-rough energy, that needs to be given a constructive purpose and a path to create or reach a condition desired—i.e. great inner wisdom, solid self-confidence, constant fearlessness, attractive qualities, wealth of character, etc. etc.; it all may be reached through the molding and shaping of this almighty energy we call ‘self-discipline.’

self-dicipline1

Furthermore, this mentioned entity itself is indeed a condition living and flowing freely within our immense consciousness, or conscious awareness of yourself and of the world around you.  This is why many people seem not to have self-discipline or even embrace their Higher Selves through self-discipline, because, as mentioned above, it is indeed a living state or condition in our conscious awareness; and this means that as long as we increase our conscious awareness of the exact goals we have, gather the necessary mental data to plan the reaching of those goals, and inquire within ourselves as to the real meaning for us to get what we desire, then we will accomplish and master self-discipline without a doubt, but if we do not do these things nothing will be accomplished due to a weak mind condition and poor vision of what we desire (a sickness which poisons the mental awareness of the masses).

Like this, humanity considers diamonds extremely valuable; however, have you really pondered the origin of diamonds and the similarity they reflect upon the mental energy or energies we are talking about here…??  Let us then mull over the implications together, shall we?:  Millions, or even billions of years ago, tremendous heat and pressure turned pure carbon into colorless diamond crystals one hundred miles or more below the earth’s crust.  Eventually, volcanic activity brought diamonds closer to the earth’s surface.  Volcanic pipes, or Kimberlite pipes, drive diamonds to the surface while cooling them on the way up; and, so, today diamonds are indeed mined in areas which have had volcanic activity in the past, including ocean floors and gravel beds.  Now, as diamonds travel up to the shell of  the earth, they occasionally combine with trace amounts of other minerals even as they take on  a wealthy variety of colors.

Although these stunning, admired gemstones may give the sudden impression of being feeble glass, they are actually the hardest, most natural material on Planet Earth.  This is a very accurate and beautiful example to describe the hidden energies of self-discipline within you.  In the same sense, we can reflect upon it with the equal admiration we may have for these precious gems, if not with more admiration and clear awe, since self-discipline may provide to you enormous wealth beyond your very dreams.  Once, pure carbon was worthless and living in the innermost depths of the earth, more like the raw energies of passion and self-discipline exist together in our consciousness or conscious awareness—i.e. both are beyond our practical use, both are of no value whatsoever to us in that raw state or natural condition.

But as the volcanic activity happens and brings these diamonds in the rough up to the surface, they transform or transmute into something exceedingly valuable and rare; as you can see in the example, this same volcanic activity in us is the sheer will or unrelenting desire to bring these raw energies (diamonds in the rough) up to the surface of our own minds to be converted or  transmuted into powerful self-discipline we can use to better ourselves and our lives.

The dark cloud.

“What I try to do is write.  I may write for two weeks ‘the cat sat on the mat, that is that, not a rat.’  And it might be just the most boring and awful stuff.  But I try.  When I’m writing, I write.  And then it’s as if the muse is convinced that I’m serious and says, ‘Okay.  Okay. I’ll come.’”  — Maya Angelou; American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist.

“Writer’s block is a condition, primarily associated with writing, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work, or experiences a creative slowdown.  The condition ranges in difficulty from coming up with original ideas to being unable to produce a work for years.  Throughout history, writer’s block has been a documented problem.”  Jesus Christ!– They make it look like is some dying of brain cells or some serious and irreversible condition!  I have to say, when I read this in Wikipedia I couldn’t believe how much fuss they have made over it, and this is exactly why most people see writer’s block as a real condition, like having the flu, or a stomach virus, or, even worse, a serious breathing problem or some type of mental disease or even a cancer.  But, remember, what you think you become, and what you think constantly about your mind creates as reality.  Reality in your life is what your mind says it is, because as you think you start believing; hence, once you start believing something, the cellular make-up in your body produces the chemicals and the sensations your body and your mind design in you as what you call writer’s block.

As a really serious writer and deep thinker, this is a very important topic for me personally; because at some point in the beginning of my career I also thought (because of all the fuss they keep making about it) that I would suffer this from time to time, and I have walked out of my computer desk just because I thought writer’s block was something real and that I had to rest my brain for a few days to heal and be ready to welcome the muse again.  But, in reality, I discovered that it is just a trick of the mind, like the fear we may experience in life or the anxiety we create just by thinking about the things that can go wrong in our life.  Furthermore, it is the pride we feel in writing something superb and excellent from the first line, we want that feeling of knowing that the writing is great from the get-go, we want to know that we are great in the first stroke of the pen or key-stroke of the computer; hence, it is not a real condition of the mind but the fear and impatience of creating something marvelous in the first page.  And that makes it all kept under our control, and we do not have to walk out of the desk whenever we feel this, and even lose days without writing.

writer6

So, it is worth noting that which is understood at this point, that the muse or essence/power of writing is not on waiting for something divine to present itself into our minds, but the key is to demand it passively because it is our right and gift as human beings, it is essentially creative energy in our consciousness (in the consciousness of the garbage man as in the consciousness of the professional writer; however, this creative energy is more pronounced in the writer due to the mental practice and the living we make out of using it every day).

Now, as professional and serious writers we have to push through the lethargy and boredom of watching the blank page, just like the marathon runner which does have to actually start running to achieve his goals of competing in the marathon and accustom his muscles to be great at it, even though he might not feel the energy to run that particular morning.  It is all about starting, even though you might not have great thoughts to start writing, even though you might not have all the details of the character or the scenery in your mind’s eye, even thought you might not have a specific path for your story or character, even though you might not have an idea to create your character, and even though you might start writing uninteresting nonsense about your story, so I repeat, IT IS ALL IN STARTING SOMETHING, your job is to write, period, so write without excuses.

While you start your writing perhaps not very interestingly, it will develop itself, ideas will start coming to you because then your conscious energy will be attracted by your commitment and strength of will (the traits of the true leader); therefore, this energy or muse is yours for the taking, and if you do your part then it will follow your wishes to succeed in your writing venture.  You are the master and leader, the muse is your servant and follower; however, most writers think that they are the servants and followers of this so-called muse, just waiting for it to strike and make its appearance, just hoping to allure this substance of creativity by not chasing it and by praying that it comes on its own.

The muse or creative energy does not come to you from the conscious mind, even though we use the conscious to mold ideas and structure story plots; it comes from the subconscious, which is where imagination comes from, and we have heard many great artists say that they have gotten great ideas and art forms from their dreams and from taking nature walks–i. e. being one with this divine energy which belongs to each of us, but we need to embrace it and claim it if we are to use it to our own advantage.  But, as it is, the ego (the lazy, dual and all-confusing, monkey mind) lives in the conscious mind, and this ego we can experience it more when the mind tries to wait for a “stroke of genius” to come on its own, if you will; and so it is this ego-substance which tells us that we have writer’s block, and which tells us that we are not ready to write something creative and interesting, and which tells us that we cannot come up with anything to write about.

writer5

To make it shorter, we can beat the ego by “taking the bull by the horns,” as they say, by being our own leader and demanding the right to creativity; this is done, in my own experience, by brainstorming on a piece of paper about characters, scenes, story plots, emotional and psychological content, story messages and impressions you want to express, whatever you want to write related to your story.  This is also done by writing whatever you have in mind at the moment, because, the more you stare to that blank page, the more confusion and fear of writing your ego will communicate to your mind and body.  Besides, remember, the real story-telling is not in the clarity and strength of your first draft, but it is in the editing; thus, the editing makes the story attractive because you are clearer in your vision, but for this clarity to come and appear you need a first draft (it does not matter what it looks like).

So, keep writing without being a perfectionist, which kills the art; see, true art is not about perfection, but true art is about human vulnerability and emotional expression.  This moves people, it connects people.  Nobody on earth is perfect, so perfection does not connect people, it distances people and it distances you from your real art.  Do not be afraid of writing and developing ideas.  You are in command if you wish to be and start writing patiently but steadily.  Rome was not built in a day.

The lone wolf (1-min. read)

“Being alone adds beauty to life.  It puts a special burn on sunsets and makes night air smell better.”  ~ Henry Rollins; American musician, actor, writer, television and radio host, and comedian.

Freedom is something most people do not really understand because they tend to be deceived by their egos and their pleasures or fanaticism.  No one can tell you what freedom really is, not the politicians, not the commercials on TV, not movies, not your friends, not co-workers, not your family, and not even your own intellect; for freedom is not really a concept but it goes beyond that, so it is not created by man, even though by being able to vote or walk around freely or choose your romantic partner you feel free.  It is all an illusion of the conscious mind, of the ego; there is no freedom created by man, there is only the grand illusion of freedom, and this is why people aren’t 100% happy and there are wars and divorces and this and that issue in the world.  People think they are truly free, and once the illusion runs out then their minds start feeling overwhelmed and overflood with fear and desperation, hatred and anxiety towards themselves, towards others, and towards situations which pin them against a wall they themselves have built.
For example, people vote and think they choose, but the decision has already been made for them, and this is not democracy but the superficiality of it to keep the masses compliant and subservient, and this leads to the suffering of the many and the glory of the few–and yet the many do not see this, because they walk with a blindfold over their eyes.  Another example is watching TV; today the media exposes news of corruption and violence in the world–  But, think about it, is it really the whole truth that they choose to show you, or superficial news to entertain you and divert your attention from the core problems…??
Again, to keep the masses compliant and subservient, minds bent to the will of the society’s system they have already chosen for you; thus, the chaos of a rebellion of the Higher Mind and the individuality of each person are seduced and kept asleep, and if the masses continue their sleep then the illusions continue, rich empires continue growing richer, the poor get poorer, people continue to eat and drink ignoring all health while their minds and bodies are kept weak and chained to lower thinking and to doctors which pump the system with drugs, all profits from unneeded items go up, blood-money from wars and from the negligence of countries on starving people increases, etc. etc.
lonewolf1
Now, it is the unwise man which follows all this, the sheep whose eyes are closed to that which lies beyond the facade of society.  The wise man understands and knows this and, even though he lives among these sheep (which are his friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc. etc.), he becomes the wolf himself because he knows that truth and happiness are only found within himself and not in society’s magic tricks, for he doesn’t let the egotistical veil of the world fall upon his eye, and this is because he knows himself and others–i. e. he sees with his inner eye and so beyond the illusion his own ego and the ego of others create.  He is fully awakened, and yet he lives, loves, and interacts among and with the asleep ones.  He carries peace in his mind and heart, because he controls his desires and reactions to the environment and to the asleep people he comes in contact with.  He understands at a deeper level that which drives the asleep to anger and fills them with fear, which is all economic ups and downs, relationships misunderstandings, and the anxiety and mental distress death brings.  He sees clearly through the veil of the mundane life and he elevates himself to a constant state of mental and spiritual awareness which fills him with constant blissfulness.
Being alone is a source of incredible energy and great wisdom for the mind, and that is why great artists and innovators, as well as great spiritual teachers, have talked about the power of creativity flowing from the depths of the subconscious (subconscious which can only be accessed through the process of being alone and in peace and acceptance of oneself and others).  Being alone, taking respectful and enriching time for yourself is recharging your inner batteries, the energy of your cells flowing freely and giving you deeper understanding and strength to create and stand on your own, uniquely and powerfully to reach all goals with determination and faith.
The way to reach this state is to leave the nuisance and stupidity of the world and the society you live in, by being self-disciplined in your own mind and heart and rejecting that from your culture and your society which does not create health in you (mentally and physically).  And this goes against the ego, I know, which always points the way towards all unhealthy options and banal pleasures of the mind and flesh; however, there is no more misguided and obtuse path to self-sabotage of your higher goals and to all mental and physical suffering than to follow your lower instincts and rogue thoughts and emotions.  This should be a reminder for all of us to always be aware of ourselves and the society’s allures.

The way of the magic (1-min. read)

“The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.”  ~ Albert Einstein; German-American physicist and major influencer on the philosophy of science.
Everything you see with your mind and with your physical eyes as well, and everything you experience within and around you is made up of energy, highly conscious energy.  The great buildings, the great art, computers, trees, grass, soil, clouds, air, relationships, events, humans and animals, the past, the present, the future, and absolutely everything else you can think of is born and sustained out of energy; such energy shaping and guiding it all, the energy which creates it all.  And when it comes to the man-made stuff I just mentioned, like great buildings, it was first born into the mind of someone; therefore, someone saw it within his mind, moved the psychic energy around to fit a shape, quality and meaning, and compiled it into a vivid realization with a unique message for the human race, then that same mind worked with other minds and brought the mental image into the outer material world, but great imagination is always behind it all.
In human relationships, for example, there are so many arguments and disputes, bad judgements and frustrations, break-ups and divorces, all misunderstandings and misconceptions which lead to confusion, disappointment and suffering, because most of us forget or ignore the existence and higher purpose of this energy or energies; hence, the building essence of all relationships is to find a way (and there is always a way) to work together as families, friends, lovers, partners, neighbors, etc. etc., but we ignorantly use our ego (which is not even close to the energies of imagination and creativity) while believing erroneously that our reason and perspective, intellect, can always fix and enrich everything.  This is our lower-thinking because it is guided by the ego and its selfishness (even though we might not think we are being selfish at the time; the purpose of the ego is to make it look normal and deceive us into thinking we are right and fair).
Imagination is not just creating a beautiful work of art or innovating with a brilliant idea, but it is knowing how to create value within your own persona and share that value with others in relationships, it is how to work out problems or issues and get to solutions in your life, and perhaps most importantly is the moving of people by connecting with them and not by enforcing your opinions or demands in a certain situation–for example, if you and your significant other have a problem and you enforce your views then there is going to be resistance and maybe even frustration in the other person; however, if you use and manage your imagination you can come up with a more meaningful way in which you can benefit both, and that can help you get a better connection in the relationship and deeper understanding of both viewpoints.
Imagination is that which builds, because it molds to the higher understanding and necessity of the human being, it is flexible and nonlinear; but reason and logic do not build, because they are strict, linear.
imagination0
But the ego does not build, it deceives people into thinking reason and logic out of the ego-mind creates and designs all; however, whatever creates true beauty and absolute harmony in the world and in all your relationships is divine energy, or energy which is not flawed or bias like the ego energies of the mind.  This divine energy (which is only called “divine” because it comes from far beyond time and space and the very mortality of man) is all true creativity and honest manifestation of beauty and strength, and by being shaped and given qualities by our minds then it is called imagination due to the images we form with it.
“You can’t do it unless you can imagine it.”  ~ George Lucas; American filmmaker and entrepreneur.
imagination2
But, you see, the imagination within our minds, or the essence of this energy, is raw, unformed, with no qualities and textures of this physical reality, because this, as mentioned above, is divine energy coming from beyond space and time (space and time is created by the movement of matter, is created by our mundane thought to fit our corporeal lives here); however, this is highly conscious and dynamic energy which is inside each cell of our bodies, each nerve, and all around us making the rich and creative substance of universes themselves, and so this means that we have to interact with it all the time to bring this raw energy into the material world and in this way design what we would like to see and experience every single day–i.e. more patience and care in relationships, money and prosperity, motivation and intention to succeed in helping and accepting others, more talents to further our own advancement in life, etc. etc.
Imagination is the moving forward of all beauty and truth through the interaction of our minds in creating peace and prosperity, love and motivation; but, this is deep understanding of the Higher Mind now, it must have our honest and dedicated effort to bring it into our lives as we wish constantly, and the issue we have to always be aware of is that we are always creating and desiring, whether we want to or not, consciously or subconsciously.
So in order to build manifestations centered in good relationships, a better financial status, greater motivation to succeed, higher visions of what you must do to better yourself, make sure your heartfelt desires and higher perspectives about yourself, others and the world around you, stay away from the deceits of your ego before you create using the greater energy of imagination.

Biology of the pen.

“Writing means sharing.  It’s part of the human condition to want to share things–thoughts, ideas, opinions.”  ~ Paulo Coelho; Brazilian lyricist and novelist.

Throughout history, without exceptions, man has always felt the necessity to express himself, as part of his biology and as a way to know himself and his innermost thoughts and feelings; because keeping them inside only makes the human experience not worth it, for human beings are a collection of billions around the world with different beliefs and experiences, but in essence, beyond all thought and form, we are all really one and that is why we struggle to express our current human individuality through various forms of expression.  So the urge is spiritual or coming from the energy which makes this human form and thought we carry around, and we transform this urge into writing, painting, sculpting, filmmaking, photography, dancing, performing, the act of sex, violence, arguments, relationships, sports, etc. etc.

Writing and the development of writing is specially freeing to me because it allows me to know myself in detail, I get to look deep within me and find everything and anything which makes me who I am as a human expression, everything and anything which creates my thinking and feeling, and so I get to experience how my thoughts arise and fall and how my emotions flow constantly up and down like a roller coaster.  Pouring your thoughts and emotions give you absolute freedom and power over yourself, because writing is a detailed form of expression; and besides that, it is creative, no matter what you write if it comes from your heart, and creativity is the only outlet to manifest the past, present, and future of our perspectives in this life, and creativity is what flows all around us and within us.

writing1.jpg

Writing is a most influential way to communicate and wake people to other views and realities, as people tend to create their own views and realities so it is essential to understand and absorb the experiences of others in order to better ourselves and widen our mental horizons.  Quite often, more than we would like to admit, one feels overwhelmed and confused by superficial thoughts and stresses of ever day, so in this way it is very important to observe our inner condition and let it all out through the sharing process.  At the physiological and also psychological levels, we need to take care of our mental frustrations and stressful data overflowing our nerves, which has a giant effect on our immune system.

In order to avoid illnesses of the mind and of the body, being creative and self-expressive in our writing are two things that must go hand in hand; opposite to this, if we repress one or the other within us and negate of either its existence, then, we will clutter inside and become filled by all this–i.e. no real creativity is expressed from us, and so this will cloud our rationality and influence our thoughts and behaviors towards our own selves and towards others, this will then bring much suffering into our relationships and into all endeavors in our life.

We need to be open with ourselves and honest with ourselves, because in this self-absorbed society, where everyone is rushing everywhere, there is no knowledge of self to taste real freedom; and, through creative and self-expressive writing you can achieve to motivate others to taste that same freedom and/or learn from your own experiences, connecting thus all humanity and bringing a higher conscious awareness.
