Great intelligence.

Jiddu Krishnamurti Quotes (5)

Your mind chatters, judges, rebels, gets loud, attaches to all thoughts and beliefs, tries to win the argument with another person; and so, it loses intelligence.  Intelligence, great insight and understanding, is not of the mind.  Intelligence comes from the body without the chattering mind, for it comes from intuition.

For the mind to allow intelligence in it, the mind must stop the chatter–i.e., stop the attachment to pursuing something in life, and stop thinking so much all the time.  When the mind does this, it becomes still; and, when it becomes still, it empties itself to allow intuition, pure energy, great intelligence to enter.

The journey that matters.

Life can seem complicated, and harsh, and even cruel at times; and the distractions, the anxious moments, the illnesses, the unfairness, something even “destined” for us.

But what hurts you, what challenges your lifestyle and mindset, what makes you question your life’s decisions is there for a reason.  It is telling you to stop living your life outwardly, always seeking and questioning what you like and do not like.

The discovery is in yourself.  To experience inspiration to love and live happily, you must deny the world your full attention; and so pay attention to yourself.  And it is a nourishing journey into yourself daily what will help you through life.

An illness, a hurt ego, frustration, anger, ambition, etc.–it is all given to you to be understood as you journey into yourself.  Nothing is more important than this in living a righteous and blessed life.

Understanding people.

People are easily swept off their feet, mesmerized, hypnotized, influenced, excited, robbed of morality and rationality by the world around them because they worship their physical senses and the crooked realities they bring them.

And this, obviously, leads them to be unconscious and to envy greedily, to try to feel superior and put others down.  This you must understand about people, ALL people, including the people you care about, the people you least expect, and perhaps you unconsciously do it as well.

This appears to be a sickness in most people when they do not feel whole inside, so they seek to fill their emptiness to feel better about themselves and their lack of integrity.  Some do it consciously, some others unconsciously; however, it is certainly in all unawakened human creature to do this in their different ways, seeking their own self-gratification.

Because people compete with one another, but they do not know it most of the time; and until they bring illumination into themselves (which it might never happen in most cases), their behaviors and intentions are erratic and concealed to their own awareness.

So, one must understand that they do this, and they act out, and they pity themselves at your expense, because of the great void and unhappiness buried deeply within them.  This is the sick game they play.

And to understand this gives you the depth and insight into all your relationships.  And relationships are the very evolution of situations and people you have to master in your journey to be happy; so you may look into people’s unconscious behaviors and gain patience for your own harmony and illumination.

The flame surrounded by darkness.

You must be able to see beyond agreement or disagreement in what I write.  You must be able to see art and truth beyond drawings, words, or beautifully embellished speeches.  When you see a flower, you tell yourself that it is beautiful or not; thus your thought pops up and beautifies or dirties that flower.  You are no longer seeing the flower but you are seeing the image thought has built in your mind; and when this happens there can be no insight.
Drop the mind, so insight appears in conscious view….
And what do you think insight is…??  Insight is emptiness.  Insight is direct knowing.  Insight is not concentration.  Insight is absolute intuition power.  Insight is the emptiness between two thoughts; and when thoughts never stop coming up, as usually happens with the mind, insight is lost and buried under thoughts.  Thoughts are objects I can transfer into your mind through my words, but insight is divine and non-transferable.  An individual experience…  Can you see this without agreeing or disagreeing with me, or without having thought study what you read here…??–if you can, then you see it!  Therefore, it is a divine insight rising from the depths of you.

Insight is not any effort, because the conscious mind is effort and insight comes from deeper.  When you read and make an effort to understand, when you see a work of art and study carefully its meaning hidden to you, when you are in a relationship which brings some level of inquiry and confusion into your mind, there is no insight; however good or bad to you, there is no insight there.  And whatever in not insight is a fabrication of society, of our traditions, of our egos, of our beliefs; thus, useful to understand, but tied to a mechanical process like math or any other subject of knowledge, step by step you study and understand, and so step by step you see the light…

But insight is like a flame, deep buried, innocent, creative, beautiful, powerful like a thousand Suns.  It is buried deep under all that knowledge you have acquired through years and years; and it is buried and surrounded by you darkness, such darkness you fear to look into and where love and happiness dwells…  So divine and eternal love and true happiness are insights, not thoughts or feelings; they are your divinity living in buried emptiness, not your humanity wallowing in mental objects/thoughts…

“Enlightened leadership is spiritual if we understand spirituality not as some kind of religious dogma or ideology but as the domain of awareness where we experience values like truth, goodness, beauty, love and compassion, and also intuition, creativity, insight and focused attention.”  ~ Deepak Chopra

The mask you wear…

“Can you see beyond your own ego…??”

Yamaoka Tesshu, as a young student of Zen, visited one Master after another.  He called upon Dokuon of Shokoku.  Desiring to show his attainment to the Master, he said, “The mind, Buddha, and sentient beings, after all, do not exist.  The true nature of phenomena is emptiness.  There is no realization, no delusion, no sage, no mediocrity.  There is no giving and nothing to be received.”
Master Dokuon, who was smoking quietly, said nothing…  Suddenly, he whacked Yamaoka with his bamboo pipe!!  This, of course, made the youth quite angry.  “If nothing exists,” inquired Master Zen Dokuon, “where did your anger come from..??”

Like this, your own ego does not allow you to see how wrong you can be, how angry you can be, how stubborn you can be, and how unawakened you can be.  You are your ego, which means your ego is all what you think and feel, which means that you only see the content of your mind/of your ego.  It is easy for you, of course, to see the flaws and wrongness in another; because you are distanced from another’s ego and can see with a fresh perspective in this.

It is extremely important to distance yourself from your own ego/from your own thoughts and beliefs, empty your mind for a while, meditate on emptiness daily, to see with a fresh perspective your own faults and your own stubbornness.  In order for you to grow, in order for you to rise above your own mediocrity, you must distance yourself from your own mechanical thinking/from your own ego and reach for deeper insights beyond, to free yourself and see reality as it really is.
“I have never seen a greater monster or miracle than myself.” ~Michel de Montaigne; French Renaissance philosopher and essayist.
