Small gestures

Sometimes we don’t have to do much to show that we care. Sometimes just giving a hug, or listening to someone’s problems, or helping with cleaning, can really show our appreciation and display great empathy. And great empathy is what love is all about. Whatever the relationship, and even if we don’t know the person, small gestures go a long way; and sometimes even do more than big gestures.

It’s about just giving

Many times a big gesture means that we expect some kind of recognition from our actions. Many times it means that we are seeking to feed our egos rather than helping someone else. But, because in reality is about doing for someone else entirely, you must give the most precious to you, which is time and attention.

Giving time and attention means that you truly care about another from your heart. It means that your cunning mind is not really expecting to impress anybody, but instead your mind is humble and so you give yourself to the other person entirely. You can never get back time. Your attention is the only gift unique to you. These two things combined show your true personality, your pure heart.

Beyond desire

I don’t think desire is enough. I do think is a start though. But going beyond desire is what will create the right action towards creating the life you want. For example, I desire to better myself, my health. So, I think about this desire more and more, and I make it stronger in me. Now I am passionate about my desire to be healthy.

So, I take the right steps towards making it come true. I choose an exercise routine I like, and I do it every morning. Maybe just 20 mins of sweat. And I also make sure I watch what I eat. I remain aware of what I put into my body. I seek the benefits of each food, I do actual research; and going from there I create a healthy eating habit.

The path to happiness

We all want to be happy, and for that we must feel well. Feeling well puts us in the best mood. Being in the best mood gives us joy to be positive. What is the origin of feeling well then…?? Health, obviously. A strong immune system. No fear of sickness. Feeling well when we have challenges in life. This is why health is king in my book, and it should be in yours too, my friend.

Relationships of greater love.

Listen to your heart

The greatest gift mankind has is empathy. Man becomes angered, violent, jealous, hateful, and all negativity without empathy. Connecting with the world around us, making our relationships better, creating ourselves in any way, it all requires that we listen to our heart and not to the voices of our intellect.

The intellect may help us at some level to look inwardly and find the knowledge we seek, but the intellect is not what connects us to one another and is definitely not what allows us to become better human beings. Letting go of our heads to trust with our hearts is challenging, but it’s also what we must discover within us in this life.

Better your relationships

Relationships, even the one with ourselves, are difficult. They can be challenging, but truly rewarding in terms of feeling that acceptance and nurture we all seek. Now, even if you seek a relationship with another, it all begins in you, in the inner relationship, in the relationship you have with yourself. So, greater empathy is about you and your relationship with yourself.

Letting go of all your troubles, reminding yourself that you have great value, believing in your inner strength even when things seem to go wrong in life. These things, they will cement a great relationship with yourself; and, because of this, you will be full of love and so you will know how to better the relationships you have with others as well.

Truly wise.

What is wisdom..??

Some people believe wisdom is experience. But if wisdom is experience, shouldn’t every president, king, prince, old billionaire, titan of industry and such be wise..?? Wisdom then is not experience. Experience is just living your life, having your beliefs and personal philosophies. But wisdom is universal, based on truth, justice and equality for all. Wisdom is based on true love, compassion.

Beyond the ego.

Human beings are ruled by their ego, the voices in their heads, the beliefs they hold, the opinions they have. Going beyond the ego then is for the ones who seek to be better human beings, beyond humanity. The ego sees different races, religions, traditions, cultures, nationalities. Going beyond the ego you can see more clearly, because beyond the ego you can recognize that we are all the same.

When your mind is able to recognize that we are all the same, then your heart blooms and you become more calm, more accepting, less violent and judgmental. This makes you wise, a ruler of yourself, a god unto yourself; because now your mind expands and leaves all stubbornness to think clearly and intelligently. And now you become love and happiness in your life, because your mind is free from a controlling ego.

What are the best hobbies…??

The best hobbies are the ones which bring passion and commitment out of you, the ones that make you feel important and free. To me, the best hobby brings me pure joy and that sense of importance. The best hobby is more than just fun, because it has to give you discipline and love for what you do.

A guide to yourself

A hobby is also something that gives you quality time with yourself, and in this time you may ponder your feelings and thoughts more intimately. Because sometimes life gets too busy for us to ponder like this, hobbies are a wonderful source for making friendship with ourselves.

I find my writing, my painting, my drawing quite liberating; because it is what gives me pride, joy, self-discipline, and a sense of freedom and time to discover myself. And discovering ourselves is why we are alive, why we experience joy and misery, why we have the gift of self-awareness.

About love & romance…

What is romance…??

Romance is a love connection, a poetic way to join us together. It is physical attraction, respect for one another, admiration for the personality of someone. And yet, it is a construct of society. It is an institution, honest, heartfelt; but no more than a tradition and a belief where sex has some importance.

Is romance love..??

Romantic feelings are strong. A strong desire to be with one another. A strong desire to connect through nice and poetic words. Love. But love is not “romantic love.” Romantic love is just another label. In all truth, love is a connection beyond labels. Love goes beyond the flesh and it has no thoughts of poetic nature.

What love is

Love is no label. When you see a beautiful horizon, or a beautiful woman, or a beautiful and innocent baby, or a stranger suffering in a war, or a whole nation in terrible pain from war.

In all this you feel empathy, a connection to the beauty, to the suffering, to the existence of love in you. Because love is a connection to all existence. It cannot be explained, because it is not of the mind. So when you love, remind yourself that love is pure empathy.
