Do not seek to see…

True success is the combination of love and happiness, because whatever you seek to attain must be sought with love in your heart and in your mind, such love in your heart and mind means happiness; for to be filled with love is to see beauty and delight in life, in the good and the bad times, and to see beauty and delight is to be truly happy.

And specially when it comes to financial or other material success, people deceive themselves in seeking first outwardly, then inwardly (if that ever happens, of course); therefore, they ignorantly allow their attention to fall upon their situations and the money they make with each paycheck… But have you analyzed, really observed, how any success is truly born…??

I am not talking about people being born rich and successful, because that is another matter which does not concern me or interest me at all. But I am talking about the more “normal” people like you and I, who are not born in golden crib but born in struggle and financial fluctuation; and our success then, it is not something we should seek to see, because most of the time success is not seen. Like I said before, success is the combination of love and happiness, which must be born in you with honesty and heart. And can you actually see love and happiness…??

No. You must cultivate that first within you like a seed, then, if you are patient and focused on your duty, you will create outwardly, you will harvest from that seed. Your inner world creates your outer world. So, do not be discouraged if you do not see success around you, for you must be patient. Don’t ask how patient! But be patient and do not quit… ever!

Are you still seeking…??

Thoughts are obsessive seekers, as in to become something, to find answers to something, to be guided by something, to attain something, are they not…?? And what are then human beings if not seekers, always searching and desiring to be taken somewhere by the hand…?? But true love and happiness reside beyond seeking, beyond the never-ending struggle for more. Have you realized that within you yet…??

That is the whole problem, as people spend their lives thinking for too long and asking others, always seeking for the thrill of the answer from others, never actually bringing change to their lives, missing the proactive way of living.

When most people think about meditation, thoughts come up, questions fog the answers, thus they seek without actually seeing the truth of it. They desire to know how. Techniques. What happens in meditation. What does meditation bring. How can they start. And they get answers from somebody else, they never meditate on them, and then they continue seeking and asking the same questions over and over again. And this does not bring any change into their lives, but it only fuels more questioning, more empty seeking, and more frustration because they are not developing the way they must.

It is Being, meditation is. Right now your intellect agrees with me; meditation is Being. But you really don’t know what Being really is, do you…?? You need to have the actual experience to realize in your heart what it means, and you haven’t meditated. Or have you seriously, deeply meditated…?? …

The witness knows all. Fish, sharks, whales, they all swim and roam the waters of the big ocean; so, they know only what they see and experience as they are swimming by, going from here to there. But the ocean waters stay always there, they witness the moon, the sun, the storm, the rain, the cold, the heat, and all beings swimming in them. They never change. The ocean waters are the ultimate witness.

Your thoughts are the beings swimming, and you are what holds them, what witness them. You are indeed the unchanging witness. And to know the silent and wise, Enlightened and divine, witness that you are, you must go beyond the beings swimming, you must be one with meditation. The witness has no questions, knows no effort, brings no fear and anxiety. The witness is life itself without the fogginess and chaos created by your humanity…\

Give them freedom…

Do you understand relationships…?? What is the point of honest communication…?? Do you bring freedom to your relationships…??

In human relationships the key element is honest communication, as we all know, as we all try to become better human beings in life; however, quite often one gets taken by this obsession for winning, for coming out ahead, for proving ourselves to the other, thus the ego takes over and a communication based on love and understanding vanishes. This calls for self-reflection and less pride; so, this calls for more rich silence, less talking.

The ego likes to talk and show off, defend itself and seek security; but the true heart of love is silent, wise, listens because it knows in silence there is true freedom. And what is love…?? Is it a word…?? Is it talking and arguing…?? No. True love is an essence which lives in the rich silence; in the rich silence of listening, in the rich silence of holding hands and walking together, in the rich silence of staring deeply into each other’s eyes… without a sign of ego… without trying to fix anything… without empty words all the time…

And that is exactly what one must bring into a relationship, into an honest communication with another, such freedom to liberate the mind of another and make them feel valued, appreciated to allow themselves to be heard by us, to express themselves freely and without any contention or threat.

This is love and understanding, to show true care in what someone else thinks and feels; because sometimes talking is of the ego and vanity itself, because sometimes to be quiet and listen is to guide our relationships into new, vaster horizons.

The road less traveled.

“Honesty is the fastest way to prevent a mistake from turning into a failure.” ~ James Altucher; American hedge fund manager, entrepreneur, best-selling author, venture capitalist, and podcaster.

“Treat those who are good with goodness, and also treat those who are not good with goodness. Thus goodness is attained. Be honest to those who are honest, and be also honest to those who are not honest. Thus honesty is attained.” ~ Lao Tzu.

What does honesty mean…?? Can there be honesty–that is, clear insight, seeing things as they are–if there is a principle, an ideal, an ennobled formula…?? Can one be direct if there is confusion…?? Can there be beauty if there is the standard of what is beautiful or upright…?? When there is this division between what is and what should be, can there be honesty, or only an edifying and respectable dishonesty…??

Quite often being truly honest with people, and even with yourself, is the enemy of a lazy and mediocre ego; that is why most people tend to live their lives based not upon true honesty, either with themselves or others–i.e., they smoke while always telling themselves they will quit, they eat anything they want while lying about eating healthier, they keep secrets in their relationships, etc.

Being truly honest is the road less traveled then, but it is the road to peace and self-love within yourself; because this process of honesty with yourself and with others brings right thoughts which bring inner strength to be truly unique, and it attracts more people like you via more positive energy, it empowers you in your own life.

To be honest means to have no illusions and confusions between the reality that is and what our ego/our crooked desire wants. To get ahead in life, people’s ego makes them feel like they have to deceive and even design “small” lies; however, this is cowardice and a loss of purpose, because to be truly intelligent is to be driven by truth and a determinant focus on your daily goals, and to have these traits you have to embrace truth, if you embrace truth your whole human experience changes and there is no room for lies or “small” deceptions.

And to be honest and truthful in a society which is crooked and twists all truth to its whim, is rather difficult and rare; but it is the sign that we are ready to take on bigger challenges in life, because life is wisdom and is always testing us to remain firm and truthful in adversity.

Being honest and truthful to yourself and to others will always attract the right opportunities into your life, if you are patient and determinate enough to reach your daily goals.

Generosity

The words of Buddha always are in my mind when it comes to generosity, “Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” Happiness is the light and flame of the candle, and it is the core of generosity. Sharing your happiness, your inner light with someone.

See, people tend to give money away, buy this and buy that; however, that is just a facade, others will see you open your wallet, therefore that is selfish. Now, I am not saying here that everybody who helps the homeless giving money or a friend with a gift is being selfish per se, but I am saying that the heart of real generosity does not look for recognition. Generosity comes purely from the heart, because generosity is self-love poured onto others for no special reason more than just share and enjoy the Oneness beyond all form which connects us all.

We all carry generosity within us, even the miser, because as mentioned generosity is a form of self-love (as beings of energy and light we all have it, just our thoughts can be generous or not).

Because of our minds and the stress, or because of outer environment chaos, some of us lose that self-love for a moment, or, better put, that self-love gets buried under the stress holding our minds hostage; so we need another kind soul with pure thoughts who can share by generosity, who can really make us feel elevated over the stressful situation we are going through.

This is sharing your light with others, because by sharing it never decreases but the opposite is truth; by sharing our time, our happiness, our hearts, the things which are special to us, then we become connected and grow ourselves.
