For long now I have wanted to expand my reach in terms of side hustles, and even hobbies, to which I feel passionate and proud to give my time and effort.

The Only Way

Seeking Our Worth

Relationships are difficult. Life is difficult. But, as I see it, it doesn’t have to be. People hide things from each other. People fear being themselves. People judge others based on their past experiences–past hurt and otherwise. We all do this at some point in our lives. The worst we can do is try to make up excuses for it, or even deny it.

And, I have been there as well, where sometimes one feels unworthy, or depressed about how things are going in life, or somewhat afflicted by society and by the pressures of it. Maybe finances are down. Or something very personal affects us in a way that makes us feel negative in terms of who we are. And I think this comes due to seeking our worth in the exterior.

Falsity in Exterior Pursuits

How others are doing. The latest fashions being worn. The greatest techs. Examples from celebrities and what not. A sure way to lose our identity in the vast sea out there. But we are really meant to discover ourselves, which is the only purpose in life. Forming relationships, family, kids, our jobs, money, career, traveling, etc–it all comes second because these are just exterior pursuits.

And why are these exterior pursuits?? Because, as great, noble and pleasurable as these are, these cannot bring true happiness. They are tethered to the roller coaster of life. One day we can get all we want and be joyous. Another day everything brings us down because it doesn’t result as expected. The rate race, in a manner of speaking. Great experiences, but the wrong place to seek happiness.

The Truth About Happiness

Because happiness is something we are always in control, because we choose it. It is not chosen based on our relationship satisfaction level. It is not chosen based on how much money we make or the life we can afford. And it is definitely not based on the success we have in society–in any of its terms. Happiness is of our minds. Happiness really is a mindset. Your life can be in shambles.

People do not like you. You hate your job, your boss, your hours, your pay. Still, you choose to be happy and contented with your life currently. You try to excel at something you like. You pursue your passions with all your might. But you don’t complain and make excuses in your mind. Keep your mind negativity free.

Physical Health is First

Then you train your mind to always be happy. Now, I am not saying is easy. Obviously it is not. But, that’s what it takes to be truly happy. Self-discipline. Promise yourself that no matter what happens around you, or outside you, you will choose to be happy. There is no more than that really. Self-love. Of course, you must watch what you eat and be healthy.

If you feel sick, in physical pain in any way, then it’ll be almost impossible to keep that promise to yourself. When we are physically sick or in pain, then our minds become full of tension and anxiety. In this chaotic mind, we cannot choose positivity and happiness. So, be kind to yourself. To your body and mind. And no excuses–do that favor to yourself.

Your unique direction

Igniting action

The more frustration, complain, fear, anxiety in general our mind carries, the more we tend to make bias and wrong choices. And life is all about choices, because choices ignite action; and like this, action creates our direction in life.

Our financial system, our spiritual life, our mental and physical health–all about direction. You cannot just wish health, and good finances, and love, and happiness. No, you need direction to obtain all of it in life. We all need to find our own unique direction.

Discover beyond it

So, do no fall into the mediocrity taught by religion from the beginning of times, that if you have good intentions and you pray then everything will turn out great. Leave your ego aside. Detach yourself from your old ways of thinking and believing.

Discover yourself and life beyond religion, beyond prophets, beyond other people, beyond what society says. Find your unique direction in life by shifting your attention and time to learning things that can get you where you want to be.

Relevant information

Maybe for you that means spending less time on social media. Perhaps it means to learn something new and lose your fear of something specific to you. But, whatever it means for you, seek to fill your head with good and relevant information.

In this way, you can discover new things, expand your mind, and be able to make better choices in the many aspects regarding your direction in life.

Power of The Heart

The greatest obstacle in your life is fear. Of course, there is the fear you recognize. And there is the fear you don’t. The fear you don’t recognize is subconscious, which is your habit, the way you respond and react, and the robotic thinking that originates from the way you’ve been taught as a child.

So, in order to truly understand and know yourself, and in order to be a success in life and grow as a better human being, you must work on the subconscious fear you carry. And it is a very personal quest, self-discovery, lifestyle change. You know the fears you carry.

These fears create your shame, your insecurity, and all your negative thoughts including those feelings of being unable to accomplish something (not good enough for something). Are you making excuses for this right now?? Because excuses are what makes us weak. Excuses are what blind us from true greatness.

The whole problem starts when you analyze things to death. We all do at some point. In all honesty, through effort and patience, anything can be accomplished; however, the power of the heart, to go on, to be confident and achieve, usually is ignored and buried under the millions and millions of thoughts/overthinking/fears we carry.

Out of comfort

A game to be discovered

Life is its own experience in you. Life is the constant feeling in you. There is no more to life than this. The economy. Politics. Friendships. The ups and downs. The chaos and also joy in the daily events. It is all a game that we have to discover how to play.

Because all is our minds. The way we choose to analyze our experiences. Everything is a test, and everything requires deeper understanding. So to explode and get upset, to lose control and even victimize ourselves, is all pointless and it doesn’t really help.

Always search more

That is why everything must be questioned and analized with clarity of mind. If you must gain knowledge outside your comfort zone–outside your beliefs, outside your mindset, outside your routines–then seek that knowledge. Because knowledge expands your mind.

In any aspect of your life, when stuck, when suffering, when feeling lost, always seek knowledge first. The search for knowledge keeps you busy, it shakes you out of your comfort zone, and it gives you confidence in you own potential.

Books. Videos. Podcasts. Documentaries. Whatever it is. Get out of your own head, out of your own self-pity, and empower yourself. Don’t remain attached to feelings of failure, to thoughts of negativity, to stubborn beliefs and habits. Expand the understanding of your own life.

Life Over Death

In those moments of anxiety, of trying to figure out what will happen next, allow your mind to let it go and focus on giving your best in the present. What is the point of stressing about something that is not yet here?? Death is a state of the mind that cripples the ability to live daily with joy.

There is no mastery of anything in life if man cannot master his own moment. Living life is an emotional roller coaster, filled with its ups and downs, guided by the behavior of our minds. So, the mind must be in peace with itself in order to enjoy life and its moments.

The mind must not struggle with anxiety. The mind must be a place where one can carefully think, analyze without bias, and find freedom to create feelings of joy regardless of the events happening in our lives. Beauty exists only in freedom. Beauty is what, consciously aware or not, we all seek in life.

But beauty is something which is only discovered when you pause and reflect, when you stop dying and growing mentally old. Age is something of the mind. One can remain young, creative, energetic, attractive, charming, even if the body becomes old. The passage of time has no control of the moment. It is only when you are living in the past and in the future that you bring aging to your mind.

And what makes the mind age–get stressed, unattractive, slow, judgmental, negative, dull, etc–is anxiety and all its effects. Effects that actually change our mental and physical structure, that also make us dull and unable to love and live our best life. Because death is a state of mind that cripples the ability to live daily with joy.

A better approach

A better approach

Composure and emotional control. There are things we cannot control, events we cannot even see coming, and tragedies we cannot avoid. It is pointless to argue and whine about it, and even more pointless to victimize ourselves and stay angry at the world.

Assume a better approach. Ease your mind. Strengthen yourself by controlling your thoughts, your reactions, and your expectations. Tell yourself that nothing is a given, that anything can happen, and that you are okay with any outcome. Because it is about relaxing your mind and adapting to the situation.

Whatever the event. Whatever the loss. Whatever the tragedy. Whatever the injustice. Move on. Detach yourself from any strong desire, need, expectation. If to be happy means anything is freedom. Freedom to let go. Freedom to adapt to whatever life throws at you.

A better mind

If you pursue something–a relationship, a financial situation, a very personal event in your life–do it without attachment. Attachment is born from obsessing over something, from overthinking, from desiring too much, from putting your entire mind, heart, and hope into something.

You could accomplish and have all you want. Absolutely everything in this life. But if your mind does not have freedom, then you really haven’t accomplished anything at all. The freedom to let go and adapt. The freedom to accept and move on. This is the source of all happiness.

Something real

Question yourself

What really tell us that we are in love?? What makes us loyal, committed, passionate and decided to remain in our relationships even through the passage of time?? Ever thought about this…?? And maybe this will go against what is popular and has been taught to you. Because the reality is that love must be natural.

Love must be something that is born easily in you, not something forced or that you must chase. The same with others, because you really have no say in how they feel, in how loyal and committed they are. No, it is unique to the individual and it must feel awakening, inspiring, something that makes you happy to be alive.

Something that lasts

Physical attraction is very important, but only if it doesn’t make you feel obsessed, needy, and highly overwhelmed with passion; because these, the intensity of them, cloud your judgement and rob you of freedom, and because these, also when highly intense, do not last either.

Real connection, loyalty that lasts, is not like in the highly erotic movies, when they rip each other’s clothes off and become filled with animal lust. If you feel like this, then is not true love that’s going to last, especially when men feel like this. Loyalty is a choice, but the right mindset must be established first; a mindset of peace harmony in the mind–freedom from animal lust.

The right mindset

And there is no 100% safety. You can only understand and control the way you love. But you can look for the right signs in somebody else, in their actions. Look for a mind that is free from attachment, a mind that doesn’t have any obsessions; and, especially, look for a mind that does not worship you, that does not put you on a pedestal like some trophy, but that sees the true value in you.

Being whole

So what is it??

It is about accepting yourself wholly, especially your darkness. Accept your flaws, your fears, your weaknesses, your unhealthy habits, and all your pretensions. Only by doing this, with honesty, in silent contemplation, you will begin to feel at peace with yourself.

Being at peace with yourself will rid you of anxiety, of jealousy, of self-denial, of feelings of worthlessness and self-victimization. Without the things that hold you back then, and that stop your spiritual growth, you will become stronger and more confident to live a happier life.

True freedom

What is true freedom…??

Keeping the peace in your mind is the most important thing you can do in your life. A calm mind brings trust, insight, confidence, self-control, great creativity, the capacity for great joy, and it helps you stay grounded and see new possibilities.

Facing life can be daunting, it can make you insecure, it can bring you overwhelming overthinking. And freedom is not really in more money, a great relationship, a religion, or anything else. Freedom is the capacity to create your own joy, in your own mind, without any influence from the exterior.

This sounds easy to comprehend, and it is. Not so easy to apply in your own mind, every day, without excuses. Still, if you really think about it, it is crucial to feel love, happiness, and reach success in life. A peaceful mind leads you to make less mistakes, and it leads you to accept yourself, others, life, and all experience as it is. That is true freedom.
