The free mind of a human god!

The bright light behind the fog.

“Follow the path of the unsafe, independent thinker.  Expose your ideas to the danger of controversy.  Speak your mind and fear less the label of ‘crackpot’ than the stigma of conformity.”  ~ Thomas J. Watson; American businessman, pioneer in the development of accounting and computer equipment used today.
An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how the brain normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation.
Have these in mind– How do most people come to know what they know? Through other people, thoughts, ideas, self-deceits of their own minds, and books, right…?? And, more precisely, how are these same thoughts arising and how are they written…?? By human beings with an ego and a goal to reach, after thinking the thoughts in their mind.

Let us switch now–

Mindfulness is the practice of being aware of what is happening or what you are experiencing in the present moment or situation.  It is being COMPLETELY here and now without judgment, chastising or blaming, without comparison and without any kind of conflict in your mind.  This is a capacity that all human beings possess.  Whenever you bring awareness into what you’re directly experiencing via your senses, or to your state of mind via your thoughts and emotions, you’re being mindful.  The physiological reason is that breaths, by paying full attention to your breath, taken mindfully tend to be slow and deep, which stimulates the vagus nerve, activating the parasympathetic nervous system.  It lowers stress, reduces heart rate and blood pressure, and calms you down.  The psychological reason is that when you put your attention intensely on the breath, you are fully in the present for the duration of the breath.  To feel regretful, you need to be in the past; to worry, you need to be in the future.
13507090_1726234514299196_3458147776561331372_n
We all enter this world pure, fearless, without doubt and struggle, untainted by duality and delusions of the flesh, full of love and wisdom; imagine a new-born baby and you’ll understand perfectly.  The whole problem of suffering and delusion starts when the baby comes out of the mother and learns to make use of the physical senses, and, on top of that, the adults around him teach him wrong, teach him about insecurity, fear, difference in people and nature, about how limited their own intelligence is and how to conform to one mindset about a specific religion, about patriotism, about monetary values, about how to think and the importance of an ideal or a person up on a pedestal–fanaticism about a preferred sport’s team, a movie star, a prophet or philosopher, any rigid mindset that creates an unbending mind.
But a mind should flow like a river, mold into the formless and shapeless essence of truth, love, and ABSOLUTE AGILITY of strength (not be lazy or rigid, but able to move quickly and easily, a weightless and stress-free mind).  Early infancy is when the brain absorbs all the information the physical senses feed, just like a sponge; from then on, the mind is being poisoned and troubled, and the wisdom and fearlessness, love and positive thinking remains under chains by the conditioning and all the garbage fed to it by parents, religious practices, patriotism, government, and so on and so forth.  These muddy layers of haughty and erroneous beliefs which oppress the soul or the mind of the growing individual turn into stone and shape the personality into the mundane and short-sighted, it robs the potential for greatness in the human being; therefore, we should all get rid of all this baggage that only creates stress and a weighty mind with fear and doubt and pride, lack of wisdom, mental and physical illness, and crooked perceptions of everything we experience.

Absolutely no being is born into this world with evil or with hatred towards anything, because the pure heart does not produce evil, the pure, untainted heart only produces the natural condition, love, peace and bliss, which are one unity, one condition of wholeness, the one existent and irrevocable truth, one universal consciousness, ONENESS, complete harmony and perfection; but, however, evil and erroneous belief is created by thought, by human conditioning, by weakness of our own choosing when we attach to a rigid mindset, when we follow other weak and poisoned minds.  Because we have all forgotten our natural state or condition of love and unity, and thus felt fear, doubt, without purpose, being led by our mundane and egotistical physical senses, which run amok untamed and unguarded, our perception of reality becomes narrow and confused and we start thinking darkly and empty; as in we need something, we are not whole, we need security, we need love to be whole again, we need a leader to straighten our path and guide us because we feel too weak and ordinary, maybe even broken by our past or by our vices, to find it alone.

All delusions of the human mind, obviously; a sure way to feed the ego and create a false belief, for a false belief offers so-called “security” to the ego and the means to feed that delusion, it all creates pleasure to the physical senses.  And in following our self-pity, by whining mentally–“I can’t do this and won’t even try,” “What’s the point…??,” “I do not have an education so I can’t start a business,” “I have been smoking for too long to change now,” “I need someone to bless me for I am a sinner and I need to go to church to wash my sins away”–our minds become weak and victims of the ego and its designed fears.
buddha
One sure way to stop this vicious cycle of fear and self-pity is to become aware of our present, live that present and be the best we can be in that same present, not wait to give our best in the following hours or tomorrow or the next day, but give our full attention to the moment, seize the moment and find pure happiness there no matter what the situation is or where you are.  If you fall in the trap of following others or expecting others to raise you up, then you will live your life in parts, not as a whole, and you will encounter moments of fear, doubt, and misery.
I know this from experience, because when I used to follow a leader in church, or become engaged by the nonsense in the news, or follow the illogical beliefs of the egos of others, or compared the success of another with my own success, or try to always please others, I would quite often become mentally depressed and hateful.  And that is no way to live a full and rich life; it steals the motivation and beauty of life in you.
10253891_919111968144657_4957491500743850194_n
We must be vigilant in this and remain always aware of our thoughts and the reactions we have.  We must stop following the news and others telling us what the reality of life and of God itself really is, for our unique perceptions in meditation or mindfulness of the present is the only one we should trust and rely upon.

Moving off the couch

“Respect your efforts, respect yourself.  Self-respect leads to self-discipline.  When you have both firmly under your belt, that’s real power.”  ~ Clint Eastwood; American film actor, director, producer, and composer.

The following is an excerpt from a book I’m writing, titled, “Inner Wealth, Outer Wealth.”

This section is called:  ‘Brain enhancement to wake up the god within.’

Rudiger  Gamm, a very below-average student, especially in the popularly hated mathematics, felt so annoyed and frustrated by his failures in achievement that he started to train his below-average brain in math; years and years of this and he became a  famous “human calculator,” and so, able to perform extremely complex mathematics.  This simple exemplar tells us that to carry this three pound sponge-like tissue structure within us every day, then, should be an almighty source of motivation to all achievement beyond ordinary means, and it should empower us to feel exceptional and able to leap farther than the currents of procreation, food and shelter which the middling ego creates as the single purpose of the human creature.  Rationality and emotional resilience work the same way, as neural connections all of them which can be, through focus and persistence, modified or strengthened, mastered and controlled to do our bidding and not let a lazy and ego-centered human nature tell us how to think and behave.

We can run our actions and design our future exactly, by managing our responses and  our perceptions of our environments.  The great advantage the high-minded individual possesses over the world and over his own Lower Animal is the formation of his own brain (extremely powerful emitter and receiver of electromagnetic signals), which routinely receives and transmits signals but must be physically fit and structured to receive and transmit signals of great power and eminent design; this is to say, that a poor brain structure will receive depressing and mundane signals while emitting the same out into the world around it, but a richly structured brain will receive wonderful, life-affirming insights while emitting the same out into the world.  See, whatever we are doing at any given time, we are physically shaping and modifying our brains or neuronal connections anyway—so why not shape and modify these neuronal connections to make ourselves stronger, more intelligent (in IQ and EQ), more talented, and better in every aspect to create superior futures for ourselves??

This certainly makes the world a better  place by inspiring people which receives our brain signals, and also by creating situations of love and positive progress into the planet.  Even  through  this writing, via this simple blog post, and even though my being on the other side of the country or the planet, I am motivating you and sending you some signals to your brain due to the real information my brain put into these words; however, the message here will or will not get to you and be assimilated by your brain depending on the training to receive higher signals you have given to it, depending on the state of your own brain

13394099_1060046914040841_5876770301205257055_n

In November 1985, a scientific report about the brain plasticity of rats came out and it contained that rats in more enriching environments had more robust brains; specifically, these rats had acquired more glial cells in relation to their neurons.  Now, glial cells, or simply glia, strengthen and nourish the busier neurons, which are the brain cells which communicate with one another forming thus a communal communiqué.  We might even say that glial cells are the official maintenance service for the neuronal community.  While these nerve cells exchange great information, they leave behind unnecessary residue (garbage) which is potassium ions, then these potassium ions gather outside the working neurons; but, however, that unnecessary residue (garbage) soon will become a hazard and hindrance for the neurons’ communiqué, due to the fact that there is no space for the potassium ion’s discharges.  Glial cells then do maintenance or clean up those mentioned potassium ions to permit neurons to fire repetitively, faster, and in a more ordered manner; and, in addition, they as well absorb certain neurotransmitters which also risk the obstruction of the neural communiqué.

This is the difference between being great and ordinary, the difference between, for example, Einstein and you, or da Vinci and you; hence, Einstein’s and da Vinci’s brains, through hard work, self-discipline, and through the creation of their own environments by the management of their perspectives, continually grew more and more glial cells which enriched the working neurons firing signals in their brains.  A higher ratio of glia to neurons than other brains means that the number of glial cells increases due to the high metabolic demand (work) which, in this case, Einstein and da Vinci put upon their neurons.  So, then, what creates more glia or more power surrounding the firing neurons (a richer environment) is personal and affluent experiences, the perspective you give to your environment, and the level of taxation one administers to his brain processes daily.

And since this is the basic tenet or core-analysis of all progress in the world and understanding of our past, present and future, as in the individual molding of our thoughts and the absolute devise of our desired destinies, being always self-aware and aware of our environment can enormously enrich our own perceptions of reality and of our own unique life experiences.  Think about this:  Who makes the world a better place through great innovations, technologies, art forms, philosophy, expressions galore, to thus keep it going forward for the generations to come …??  Is it ordinary people with ordinary brain processes which remain lazy and wallowing in self-induced fear of failure to excel and be more, or extraordinary people like Plato, Aristotle, da Vinci, Michelangelo, Mozart, Einstein, Hitchcock, Spielberg, Le Corbusier, even the businessman selling his own crafts on the city’s park, among others with chosen higher brain processes, which strive to be the best they can be and face the challenges presented in the path to incredible success…??

Without the mirage.

“If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit at home and think about it.  Go out and get busy.”  ~ Dale Carnegie; American writer and lecturer, self-help developer.
In conquering my own fears I have learned a thing or two along the way, and always still learning.  When I came from Argentina to The States it was all new and different for me–different culture, different mannerisms, different places, different language, different lifestyles, etc.–and I really fell in love with all this change in time, because the key to grow and expand yourself in this life is by adapting to change and by no other way; however, after losing a few family members and stumbling through economic problems in a place which did not resemble my place of birth at all, I felt like a massive wave of fear and anxiety had collided with me and had become me, and the worst is that it was constant.  Throughout several years afterwards I became a working young man, jumping from job to job, to help in my household, and so there were good times because, even though fear and stress had a continuous hold within me, my family was with me.  But at that time I didn’t understood anything about fear and anxiety, what they are, how they rise, and how to get rid of them.  Years later, I became more mature and wise in the ways of life, and I had gotten the gist of it.
(Funny and interesting how life develops; you mostly never understand in the heat of the moment, but later on, if you truly meditate on what happened, then the master sage of life hits you with incredible understanding and clarity.)
When we have a fear we tend to believe it is real and that it is a real threat, whether a fear of spiders, a fear of public speaking, a fear of public places, a fear of being our unique selves in front of others, a fear of this or that; furthermore, we navigate the waters of fear in our minds and become immersed in them, when great anxiety sets in which can lead to physical and mental pain and, in some extreme cases, a serious stay at the hospital of our choosing.  But the reality is that we create fear, like time, or like beliefs, or like our personal views in life, we choose fear even if we do not think so–i.e. fear is a dual concept and the opposite vibrational side of courage, man-made and purely a fabrication of the ego, it is thinking constantly about something negative which may happen in a future that is not here yet and never will be.  Fear is in the future which will never exist in real life, because real life is always the present; however, it is our mind, the ego specifically, the one which takes us to the future and makes us quiver every time we feel incapable of doing something or every time we doubt ourselves and our strengths to overcome something.
And fear may also live in another illusion, namely the past.  But the past is gone and was never there in the first place; but, of course, our memories, our minds create these powerful images of the past and take us there–i.e. past abuse, neglect, issues with family and friends, bankrupt, the loss of someone you loved, etc. etc.  So we live in the past and, because our minds are extremely powerful, start having strong emotions which give us negative feelings which we will carry into our present.
But think deeply about it:  The past and the future do not exist, the past and the future are illusions of the mind which bring fear and anxiety when these create negative emotions within you.  The only reality there is, and most certainly it is, is the present, and in the present moment there is all you need to be happy and confident and brave.  But you have to be rid of that silly process, which we all do in our ignorance, which is living in the past and the future when it brings you stress and all anxiety, fear.
Be cautious of real dangers to your life, like lions or dinosaurs attacking the city, but, be intelligent, do not feed mental fears that you yourself (your mind) create.
Fear-Quotes
Get hold of your mind.  Your thoughts create your emotions, and your emotions become feelings which can bring you much suffering, so learn to master yourself and live in the present moment, enjoy each moment.

The problem with stone.

“Everyone experiences tough times, it is a measure of your determination and dedication how you deal with them and how you can come through them.”  ~ Lakshmi Mittal; steel magnate.

I was walking my dog this morning under the half-asleep but beautiful sky of Provo, Utah, while enjoying the perfect whispers of air.  I started looking around me and observed the trees, the singing birds, the colony of ants working early in the spot of dry dirt near me, and I was reminded of the beauty of nature even here in the city.  And then I kept on walking and encountered the giant stones and rubble from construction–i.e. a construction site of building apartments which we sometimes visit for our morning walks at about 6 am.  My eyes fell onto the giant stones and, for some reason, I was reminded of the other side of life, the duality we must deal with in this life in order to achieve progress, the man-made structures, relationships, and challenges; because looking at that rock made me acknowledge and understand further the stone we sometimes design over our hearts, just like a shield or a covering wall around the beating heart.

Life is beautiful and rich, both in spiritual wisdom and in the material growth of man, but it is plagued by challenges which can either make us or break us, and it is always up to us to decide despite the ugliness and unfairness we may meet along our journey, either become masters of the wonderful fate we create or become victims of the destructive fate we create.  Quite often we fall prey of constant fear and stress, whether in our jobs, relationships, chosen lifestyles, etc., and, more often than not, prey of others, whether our bosses, our own family and friends, our neighbors, even people we do not even know; however, we must understand beyond pain and sorrow that everything and anything which happens to us is never random, is never a source of “luck” or a lack of it, but that all which befalls has a purpose.  Life, beyond the egotistical and, often wicked, schemes and designs of man, is the ultimate teacher of wisdom and Higher Intelligence, and life works for us if we have an open heart to hear it; however, if we close our hearts and let the ego-mind scream loudly, as it always does with its pitiful and obnoxious whining, then we won’t hear the teaching of the master and instead we’ll hear our own stressful and fearful thoughts.

7a4cdc3f-2205-47ac-8318-2ab4ccb344d4-original

If we have a problem, let us say for example, an economic one and so we cannot pay mortgage or rent this month, what do we do, we wallow in the fear of the deadline and we start following our own thoughts of hate and self-pity; however, this creates more stress and nuisance to our well-being, our mental strength decays and our views of life narrow because we only allow our problem in our consciousness, and, going beyond that, we must remember that our minds and brain processes are attached or connected to our bodies, thus via our strained nerves and poisoned blood now our immune system falters and we become more prone to disease and all kinds of more serious mental and bodily injuries.  One thing that most people ignore or even deny is this:  Our minds and the contents we put there are electric and vibrational emitters and receivers; therefore, we truly attract and repel whatever lies in our conscious, our waking mind and the one we know, and whatever lies in our subconscious, the mind which is divine and hidden from our reach and the one which contains many traits of our personalities, views, fears, etc. etc.

Let us explore something more terrible of the human condition, namely rape:  Rape is an extreme form of violence against the body and mind of a person, the wicked and injurious act robs the person of mental peace and security and leaves the same with a massive and profound wound which affects that person and the ones he loves; but, it does not stop there, because rape also distorts reality in the victim, life turns fearful and full of ugliness wherever that person goes mentally and physically.  But, like Buddha says, “Every experience, no matter how bad it seems, holds within it a blessing of some kind, the goal is to find it.”  So, the rape victim has two choices, one is destructive and much more painful, the other one is a blessing if the right perspective is chosen.  One can either think about it for the rest of one’s life and live in misery and contempt, perhaps after a while kill oneself; or, the other one, one can get professional help dealing with the emotional trauma, become stronger and deal with the present, not the past or the future, life as it is and in time just put it in the past regardless of what happened.  I know it must not be easy, but there is always time and wisdom that cures all.  Man does ignorant, sometimes called evil, deeds, but that fact shouldn’t be an excuse to live a life full of hatred and misery.

10397816_989895171092892_6961144610502298543_n

See, the ego in man resides in the conscious, where the fear and stress is born from the chattering thoughts of everyday.  But life is beautiful and rich, and, beyond the pain and suffering we may encounter along this man-made world, our minds always decide how to see what we have experienced, our minds decide if we attach ourselves to self-pity and ego or if we continue stronger and more resolute than ever before; so, better pay attention and use higher rationale from an open heart, we should take control of our minds lest we start hating life itself.

Let your heart speak to you, and more in times of trouble.

Alchemy.

“The domain of individual destiny is controlled by an interplay of many cosmic forces, mainly benign; but in the present world society, due to mankind’s misunderstanding of both earthly and heavenly purposes, these forces have been turned to other uses, frequently chaotic and disintegrating.”  ~ Count St. Germain; alchemist, painter, philosopher, essayist, poet, diplomat, philanthropist, musician.

When most of us hear the word ‘Alchemy’ we picture an old sage in ancient times leaning against a hot pot stirring and stirring and creating mysterious fumes while wearing a large robe, mainly stirring and stirring to create some elixir or to turn lead into gold.  But that is just the superficial part of the science of Alchemy; because, in fact, Alchemy started the sciences we have today–i.e. chemistry, psychology, botany, geology, physics, anatomy, physiology, etc. etc.  Let us have in mind not just ‘Alchemy’ but ‘Mental Alchemy,’ because the human mind is all in the Alchemy of the true sage, because the human mind hides mysterious and fascinating energies to transmute the lead of the ego of simple man into the gold of the god-man.  So there is the study of who we are, and I do not mean our names or cultures, nationalities or the identities we create for ourselves; however, I mean the study of who we are beyond this waking thought we experience every day and this body made of flesh and bone.  To be more precise, is the study and discovery of our true Inner Self, which some may call Spiritual Self or Divine Energy; hence, it is about the energy and essence that makes us and sustains our life, which connects us to one another and to all nature, precisely all nature from the dust on the earth and the insect on it to the planets and stars in the vast dark above us.

The roots of Alchemy date back to ancient Egypt, and perhaps even before that, and a mysterious manuscript called ‘The Emerald Tablets.’  Alchemy arrived in Spain during the Arabian occupation by the Moors and then spread to the rest of Europe.  Alchemy reigned as the supreme science in Europe for about 1,700 years.  In fact, many of the cathedrals of the Middle Ages carry alchemical symbols and secret formulae.

alchemy3This is a coin minted from alchemical gold showing the symbol of lead (the ignorant, waking mind of the simple man) going up to heaven to transmute into gold (the mind of the god-man or the superior, spiritual intellect in man).

Only a very few adepts knew of the essential agent, the sublime heat of the soul, which fuses the emotions, consumes the prison of leaden form and allows entry into the higher world.  Carl Jung made alchemical methods part of modern psychology when he talks about the subconscious mind in man (the Infinite Intelligence in man).

But, you see, reader, the true science of Alchemy is the science of the spirit in man; therefore, because is about the spirit and so it does not have anything to do with machinations of men or material temples or churches built by men, religions of the world do not have a claim on this higher science.  Because the spiritual, the divine in man, the gold in man must not be confused with the crude, the ignorant dogmas and ideas in the simple man, the lead which is of the lower man. alchemy1

As people grow throughout life, they start to imitate one another, consciously and subconsciously, mimicking the personalities and identities which they see fit and which brings pleasure to his daily lives.  Because of their new adopted views in religion, society, nationality, culture, etc., and due to becoming fearful followers and not leaders of their own lives, most dwell in a sense of unreality as they become victims of themselves under the ideas and interpretations of others, and subsequently they persist in identifying themselves as vile sinners dependent of some human leader and a divine god up in the skies to deliver them to some promised land.  People thus become victims and go throughout life blind to their fortunes and believing in some divine blessing or curse falling upon them, and they are never masters of their destinies but humble servants of their own egos; that is, enslaved to their wild imaginations and ego-created fears.

This fear and ignorance transforms their thoughts and feelings into hell on earth; however, the purpose of all thought and feeling is to give us the beautiful form of wise and individual experience, to thus shape our self-confidence and unique personas into higher intellects, higher personas in the spiritual and mental realms.  So we Alchemists, true and wise Alchemists today and always, understand this and embrace this in our hearts; because we recognize that thoughts and feelings are exposed to sadness and misery as well as higher intelligence and wisdom, and in order to have only the latter we need to lead and not follow, have a free mind and accept who we are beyond all idea and form.  By stopping to watch TV, by not falling into the shopping and commercial trap, by not following society and religion, by not choosing an identity based on friends and family, by not imitating others, by watching the food-energy we put in our bodies, etc. etc., this can be accomplished.

alchemy

So, life is not meant for us to embrace mediocrity and be content with following the herd, and it is not meant for us to massacre our higher purpose by living in the fear and anxiety all TV, society, religion, nationality, culture creates; but it is meant for us to be unique in all aspects and raise above all feelings of fear and anxiety.  Every human being has mighty energies and capacities, from the homeless person living under the bridge to the spiritual Alchemist who feels one with all, and so this is why we are born and given thoughts and feelings inside a physical form; and, even though most people do not really understand and embrace that fact in their behaviors, we must accept what we do not see and hear in our heads, we must realize that we all have the capacities to be Alchemists and lead our own lives, the capacities to turn crude lead into divine gold, because no society, religion, father or mother, friend or acquaintance, can do it for you, can better your life.

Wise leadership (Yin and Yang principles)

“An army of a thousand is easy to find but, aah, yes, how difficult to find a general.”  ~ Chinese Proverb.

I am currently working on a self-help book, titled – “Inner Wealth, Outer Wealth,” and it felt appropriate to share with you a small passage from a chapter I titled – ‘Wise leadership: The godly powers to build.’

I was contemplating within myself this morning and it came to me just how we sometimes tend to forget about the forces of nature working within ourselves when it comes to opening the path for others to thrive, and even for our own selves to thrive, in the business of life.  See,  when it comes to all business, of course, most people focuses on the outward aspects of leadership and strength to lead–i.e.  always planning and directing people in the crux of professional pursuits, whether in your own business or in the business of others.  But there is also a mighty power which is highly motivational and successful if harnessed by the great and wise warrior; that is, silence is a great and divine source of strength for the wise leader of any business and of life itself.

Have you ever noticed that experienced and successful motivational speakers pause sometimes to build momentum and let the wisdom their giving to people sink in…??  Have you paid attention to great movies when the hero is about to kill the murderer or save the day, that momentum building suspense or anxiety in the viewer to evoke deeper emotions…??  That is silence which aids in achieving success without effort, and so the wise leader understands how these energies in silence influence the minds and emotions of other fellow men.  Silence, when it is summoned by a true leader, is indeed wisdom emerging from the mental power of the energies of leadership.  Silence this powerful and influential springs only from wisdom, from Infinite or Higher Intelligence, because the energy in silence indeed manifests Cosmic Creation itself.

Hence the contrary, talking and talking, stressing yourself and others nonstop, rushing yourself loudly and others, is the realm of the waking mind, the mind which never stops its monkeying around, the earthly mind, always having something to add like a ravenous monkey, always having to prove its intelligence like the vainglorious man, always having complaints and opinions about every little thing; and such narrow-minded and obnoxious process is the enemy of all wise leadership.  Can you learn to work hard and do great things without doing anything…??  Can you manifest your intentions and your beliefs to others without having to always do something…??  Can you achieve without moving a single finger…??  Can you learn to become open and without the need to always be thinking about the stresses and problems of your day and the pressures of your  business…??  Can you lead yourself and others without actually leading as most men do…??  These questions seem complex, perhaps even illogical, for the uninitiated in mental leadership, but they are quite simple to the powerful mind of the experienced mental scientist.

Indeed, a mind this vigorous and grand goes beyond the mind of the normal individual, whether the person is rich or not, educated or not, fair-skinned or not, male or female, young or old; therefore, some may call this mind ‘the mind of the genius businessman.’  And this mind is made, not born.  Once your mind becomes this powerful, you can positively answer these questions; but, until then, you will not even understand them.

leadership3

The great wisdom of Chinese philosophy shows us the way to power and leadership, to the fruitful and successful life in any facet.  Being open and receptive, or having a powerful mind which is open and receptive, among the many disturbances and distractions of the pressures of daily personal and public life is called Yin, the moon, the valley, the concealed aspect, the female force or female principle in nature;  being strong and directive is called Yang, the sun, the mountain, the superficial aspect, the masculine force or masculine principle in nature.  But, even though they seem absolutely different and apart from each other, like heaven and hell, they are in fact two parts of a whole, just like the concepts of  heaven and hell; hence, they are one and the same and need each other, because neither one is whole by itself, and a powerful and successful mind can only be whole.

Now, imagine a valley with beautiful flowers of many colors like violet, red, pink, yellow, and blue, and in its center an open and outstandingly green field with a vast and inviting source of clear water; then, in its reflection, you can see all energy of creation, all power of the creative mind.  Go to the waters and be still, patient, observe silence and beauty, contemplate the freshness and rich texture of the naturally flowing waters, see the great gifts and possibilities in the stream reflecting back to you; and as you do this, your whole body becomes energized by this inner transformation.  And you became transformed just now by the reflection upon the clear waters, as soon as you peered into them, because you  yourself were the reflection, and because you were the waters as well.  This is Infinite Intelligence.  This is Yin, the female principle in nature.  You can go to these waters whenever you want, they will always be there for you, even if you feel depressed or miserable, undeserving or unsuccessful, the source of water will always be clear and rich with reflections.  You need not fear.

The wise man, the wise leader, knows this and visits the waters quite often, in utter silence he observes, no words or opinions of any kind are allowed lest he disturbs the waters and misses the beautiful and transforming reflection.

Now, imagine a boat or ship, sturdy, commanding, of great power and engineering, committed to sailing, discovering new places, conquering storms in the tempests of night, going where no man has ever dared to go before because this ship has big and noble ambitions.  The ship’s engine and sails are mighty as they affront the tempestuous currents of the night, as they cruise with power and a rebellious attitude through all obstacle and naysayer in its path.  This ship is also you, it is your intellect full of desires and ambitions, the one encountering all the storms and dangers.  This is Yang, the masculine principle in nature.   You can guide the strong and commanding ship always forth, you can conquer all misfortunes and stresses in life, you can be invincible if you know how and where to steer the ship; however, you need both, Yin and Yang, to succeed, for you need to be whole first—i.e. if you are broken, if you guide yourself and your life with just one piece, then you must discover the other piece in yourself, that is, if you seek success in all aspects of life.

Only a wise and powerful leader knows this in his heart, and the people he guides and aids knows it as well, because he himself emanates this like sunlight emanates warmth.  See, reader, leadership is about preparation of your mental forces and attitudes first; therefore, if your house is cluttered and filthy, no person will come to you because you will reek of self-pity and lack of ambition.  The attraction to better yourself and to motivate others is not there.

But do your dutiful, inner work, visit the waters of your own consciousness in silence and respect to be energized and transformed, steer the ship in a strong and ambitious manner, do not stress yourself and others, and the rest will come to you as the moth comes to the flame.

The god within.

“To believe in the god over us and around us, and not in the god within us–that would be a powerless and fruitless faith.”  ~ Phillips brooks; American clergyman and author.

I believe people today has forgotten who they really are and the power they have within themselves to get ahead in life, surpassing all obstacles and reaching their higher goals–whatever those might be for each of us.  There lies great wisdom and energy inside of us all which you might call God or Higher Self, and which you embrace and acknowledge whenever you choose health and love above poisonous foods to your body and hatred towards yourself and others, whenever you mentally speak kindly to yourself and motivate yourself out of self-pity; however, there also lies inside of us all a massive ego and terrible ignorance which you might call Devil or Lower Self, and which makes us believe we are broken and undeserving of a better life.

Of course, most of the problem stems from how our minds are conditioned since birth from our parents, from the ones around us, and from a self-absorbed and highly ignorant society.  Still, through inner contemplation and by embracing certain wisdom within myself, I absolutely know that humankind has been endowed with higher intelligence and capacities of achievement well above other creatures under the sun, and that we are more than the piece of flesh and the crude and disobedient thoughts we experience on a daily basis during the waking state.  And it all lies within ourselves, the capacities of transforming the raw energies in ourselves to be more and bring a noble and unselfish desire into material reality.

Yes, all that is truly needed is to believe that there is no failure in life, because the truth is that failure is an invention of our flawed minds, just like the concept of ‘time’ or the inventions of a place called ‘heaven’ and a place called ‘hell’ waiting for us after we die.  See, ‘time’ is an illusion which serves a purpose in society and in this physical life; ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’ were invented by the fearful and ignorant minds of men to control the minds of other men and keep them tied to a religious belief and dogma.  It is all a well-orchestrated, mental delusion which may serve us or condemn us.  Your choice.

See, the greatness of our conscious, mortal minds is that we can use the energies floating there to create beautiful and motivating thoughts of noble and unique nature, such thoughts which will evoke feelings of higher purpose and self-love; however, we often have to deal with the negative energies which are fueled by our earthly physical senses, dark energies which are biased and agitated by the perceptions and opinions we form out of these same physical senses–i.e. biased and agitated by the violence and unfairness we see in the news daily, biased and agitated by the stupidity and greediness of politicians, biased and agitated by the invisible poisons from food and entertainment companies, biased and agitated by the cruelty against the environment and animals, etc. etc.

And our immediate environment and neighborhood does not help sometimes, because we might be let down by friends, family, jobs, opportunities of any advancement, and so on.

But if we pay attention to our hearts, without the blockage of our physical senses and that obnoxious voice in our minds, we just might be able to understand that all that separates us from being the best we can be is not our environment, our society, or even things which befall us and bring us suffering, but that it is our minds and how we choose to perceive life.  As Buddha wisely and simply puts it, “What we think, we become.”

buddha mind
Our minds are filled and shaped by what we choose to perceive of ourselves and of the world.
