Personal issues

What we carry

In my youth I used to keep anger and frustration bottled up, and sometimes I would subconsciously seek the smallest things, trivial annoyances, to explode and let it out, especially with my brothers.

I would lose my temper really quick with them. Not something I’m proud to admit. But, as I grew up, I started adding meditation and studying psychology to change my perception of things, which worked wonders for me.

Because it was painful to carry all this anxiety when young, and even though I wanted to change it was difficult without more knowledge and understanding of myself. So, what I’m saying is that we all go through something personal, and it’s heavy on us because it affects all our perceptions in life.

Leaving the burden is personal

It even programs our DNA, our subconscious and the automatic reactions we have in life. It depletes our energy, it makes us age faster and without grace, it dulls our senses and lowers our intelligence and creativity, our relationships get affected in all aspects–especially when it comes to sexual desire and performance.

The reality is that we can all change, but it takes a personal committment from you; because it’s not about the world but about changing you and the mental programming running you. No one is perfect, but chasing excellence and creating better habits for ourselves leads to self-healing; and that is definitely something we all want in our lives.

Digging deep…

What’s feeling sorry for yourself…??

That feeling of anger and frustration when things don’t go as planned, and when others don’t treat us the way we want, and when we make certain mistakes.

When we focus too much on this misery, our minds decide that to keep being positive is too much effort; and that is then when our minds shift to feelings of worthlessness and self-pity. Victimizing yourself takes little energy or effort.

How I deal with it.

I don’t let myself overthink things. What happens, happens. I concern myself with moving forward. And for this purpose, I make a schedule in my mind every day–cleaning, cooking, exercising, getting up at such and such time, my writing, walking the dog, learning new ways to market my books, etc.

It is all about the purpose you give yourself every day. Not about keeping busy, but about conditioning your mind to better habits far from any pointless overthinking.

What Ben has taught me.

For those of you who don’t know yet, Ben is the main character of my series “BENJAMIN JONES.” He is a 12-year-old shaman boy who has become an orphan.

In going on a magical journey to discover himself and his magic, he has taught me, and still teaches me, so much. I have created him, of course; however, he is a perfect reflection of me.

Sometimes we hide ourselves, or the truth about ourselves, deep beneath all we think we are; and so, through self-expression I have found freedom to dig deeper. He helps me discover myself and life.

All the self-pity, anger, and frustration goes away once you dig deeper into yourself. Not saying you don’t feel these anymore, but saying that your mind becomes free and doesn’t get attached to these negative feelings.

The strongest theme in the series

There are shamans, spiritual leaders, gods, demons, magical creatures, friends and foes in my series.  But the main theme is what we all experience, such being self-discovery.  It is because all that matters in this life is to grow our spiritual and moral values.

From becoming more spiritual and moral then we become better, and we start discovering ourselves and life; and thus everything in our lives turns to be better as well.  Magic exists and it is within ourselves, because, just like the main character in my series, we must experience that beautiful miracle in us through daily self-expression.

“Ben took a few steps forward and said, “Thank you!  What I meant was, how is it possible that you can talk?!”

“What do you mean??  You can talk!  Why couldn’t we?!” protested the willow tree.

So if you seek a coming-of-age story that brings fantasy and insight, gods and demons, and more, then you will absolutely enjoy this read: All I ask is that you support me by posting a brief review.

Fasting vs Intermittent Fasting

This is about fasting. About denying your body and mind of the energy it needs just to satisfy your ego and think that you are being saintly by enacting this atrocity. But this is not religious in any way. I don’t have any beliefs. As most important in my life, I take very serious the topics of taking care of my mind and body. So, this blogpost or writing here is about how fasting affects you, your body and mind, and the truth about fasting in general.

And when fasting to lose weight, it is even worse for the immune system. It attracts illnesses. And fasting increases fat retention, because it makes the mind more anxious and hungry; thus tissues weaker and unable to absorb fats in a proper manner. I used to fast for 2 days, 3 days, a week, even more. Fasting is not healthy in any way. The belief, thought, and tradition of fasting come from the old days. In the old days, tradition, religion taught that denying your mind and body of food is a form of righteousness, a way to become connected to the suffering of others. Nonsense, of course.

Fasting is a way, a very selfish way, to pat yourself in the back and create this illusion that you are a good person; but, in reality, it does nothing for the poor or suffering people around the world. Fasting is just another belief, which you might consider as a great belief; however, not a belief that actually helps people. The only fasting that helps is if someone saves the money from those meals they don’t eat while fasting, and then unselfishly give that money to the poor for their meals. But no one does this, so fasting is just another illusion, another deception religion has created and planted in the subconscious of the ignorant masses. I know because I was one of these, and I have awakened myself to the truth.

Increasing intelligence, growing in understanding, keeping myself healthy is the most important thing in life for me.

After years of seeking ways to improve my cognition and understanding, I found intermittent fasting. I do not eat in the morning. I leave the whole morning for my stomach to wash itself from the prior night’s meal. This time also serves for my immune system to increase strength, to become more capable of bringing healing to my body’s tissues. By intermittent fasting, I not only help my body absorb and use fats more properly to become stronger and leaner, but I also increase my brain’s capacity for intelligence by giving my nervous tissues the proper time and energy to store the right nutrients. This type of fasting does not weaken my body, because it is only in the morning that I do not eat, not for days and days as the common, religious fasting. Most importantly, this fasting does not create false beliefs and illusions in me of being saintly.
