Moving off the couch

“Respect your efforts, respect yourself.  Self-respect leads to self-discipline.  When you have both firmly under your belt, that’s real power.”  ~ Clint Eastwood; American film actor, director, producer, and composer.

The following is an excerpt from a book I’m writing, titled, “Inner Wealth, Outer Wealth.”

This section is called:  ‘Brain enhancement to wake up the god within.’

Rudiger  Gamm, a very below-average student, especially in the popularly hated mathematics, felt so annoyed and frustrated by his failures in achievement that he started to train his below-average brain in math; years and years of this and he became a  famous “human calculator,” and so, able to perform extremely complex mathematics.  This simple exemplar tells us that to carry this three pound sponge-like tissue structure within us every day, then, should be an almighty source of motivation to all achievement beyond ordinary means, and it should empower us to feel exceptional and able to leap farther than the currents of procreation, food and shelter which the middling ego creates as the single purpose of the human creature.  Rationality and emotional resilience work the same way, as neural connections all of them which can be, through focus and persistence, modified or strengthened, mastered and controlled to do our bidding and not let a lazy and ego-centered human nature tell us how to think and behave.

We can run our actions and design our future exactly, by managing our responses and  our perceptions of our environments.  The great advantage the high-minded individual possesses over the world and over his own Lower Animal is the formation of his own brain (extremely powerful emitter and receiver of electromagnetic signals), which routinely receives and transmits signals but must be physically fit and structured to receive and transmit signals of great power and eminent design; this is to say, that a poor brain structure will receive depressing and mundane signals while emitting the same out into the world around it, but a richly structured brain will receive wonderful, life-affirming insights while emitting the same out into the world.  See, whatever we are doing at any given time, we are physically shaping and modifying our brains or neuronal connections anyway—so why not shape and modify these neuronal connections to make ourselves stronger, more intelligent (in IQ and EQ), more talented, and better in every aspect to create superior futures for ourselves??

This certainly makes the world a better  place by inspiring people which receives our brain signals, and also by creating situations of love and positive progress into the planet.  Even  through  this writing, via this simple blog post, and even though my being on the other side of the country or the planet, I am motivating you and sending you some signals to your brain due to the real information my brain put into these words; however, the message here will or will not get to you and be assimilated by your brain depending on the training to receive higher signals you have given to it, depending on the state of your own brain

13394099_1060046914040841_5876770301205257055_n

In November 1985, a scientific report about the brain plasticity of rats came out and it contained that rats in more enriching environments had more robust brains; specifically, these rats had acquired more glial cells in relation to their neurons.  Now, glial cells, or simply glia, strengthen and nourish the busier neurons, which are the brain cells which communicate with one another forming thus a communal communiqué.  We might even say that glial cells are the official maintenance service for the neuronal community.  While these nerve cells exchange great information, they leave behind unnecessary residue (garbage) which is potassium ions, then these potassium ions gather outside the working neurons; but, however, that unnecessary residue (garbage) soon will become a hazard and hindrance for the neurons’ communiqué, due to the fact that there is no space for the potassium ion’s discharges.  Glial cells then do maintenance or clean up those mentioned potassium ions to permit neurons to fire repetitively, faster, and in a more ordered manner; and, in addition, they as well absorb certain neurotransmitters which also risk the obstruction of the neural communiqué.

This is the difference between being great and ordinary, the difference between, for example, Einstein and you, or da Vinci and you; hence, Einstein’s and da Vinci’s brains, through hard work, self-discipline, and through the creation of their own environments by the management of their perspectives, continually grew more and more glial cells which enriched the working neurons firing signals in their brains.  A higher ratio of glia to neurons than other brains means that the number of glial cells increases due to the high metabolic demand (work) which, in this case, Einstein and da Vinci put upon their neurons.  So, then, what creates more glia or more power surrounding the firing neurons (a richer environment) is personal and affluent experiences, the perspective you give to your environment, and the level of taxation one administers to his brain processes daily.

And since this is the basic tenet or core-analysis of all progress in the world and understanding of our past, present and future, as in the individual molding of our thoughts and the absolute devise of our desired destinies, being always self-aware and aware of our environment can enormously enrich our own perceptions of reality and of our own unique life experiences.  Think about this:  Who makes the world a better place through great innovations, technologies, art forms, philosophy, expressions galore, to thus keep it going forward for the generations to come …??  Is it ordinary people with ordinary brain processes which remain lazy and wallowing in self-induced fear of failure to excel and be more, or extraordinary people like Plato, Aristotle, da Vinci, Michelangelo, Mozart, Einstein, Hitchcock, Spielberg, Le Corbusier, even the businessman selling his own crafts on the city’s park, among others with chosen higher brain processes, which strive to be the best they can be and face the challenges presented in the path to incredible success…??

“Ashes of love.”

“I’ve learned that when God promises beauty through the ashes, He means it.”  ~ Taya Kyle; American author, political commentator and military veteran’s family activist.
Ashes of love

That wondrous night I left the ashes of my love in your heart,
Oh beautiful creature!, for you will carry me in your thoughts as I part;
Within your deepest desire and most prominent illusion,
Divine chemistry, our heated souls were beyond nuclear fusion.
When dawn awakes you gently with its glowing rays as such,
My ashes of love, your heavenly body will still feel my touch.

That special night we engaged in meaningful connection,
The purest love, the most profound communication.
Beginnings are sensitive, thin like wire, soft as snow,
Tongue as sharp as sword, it is better to build slow;
Oh my love!, I am sorry, that night words did damage,
And my incessant, false insecurities our love did ravage.

I don’t want to lose more tears or be lost in this distance,
For I choose not to seek but to find you within my existence;
But I stare alone at my mirror now, see your beautiful reflection,
I deviate my stare, try to hide my boundless affection,
For my heart has become cold like this room, sadness is my foe,
But so intense were the emotions, ashes of love, remnants so.

Still you are kept within my deepest thoughts, we are one,
And my heart keeps the ashes of your love, you are my sun:
That memorial night you embraced me with your passionate sigh,
And every inch of your skin was the most wonderful paradise;
Layer by layer of clothing, now yours, now mine,
We made it into a game, and to you I built a shrine.

I walk away now from my mirror with these ceaseless memory,
I hold on to a few ashes of love which are sweet reverie.
If I can remember your angelic face I shall not pass away,
But my freezing heart still aches and my whole world seems gray.
And what about my emptiness and this disordered life…??
My blank poems, ill soul, the broken heart in strife…??

But I know all these are false fears meant to carry isolation,
Keep us apart, wound our love, spawn dire frustration;
So, I will come back to you and to the ashes left in your soul,
Mend broken hearts, build our spirits, give back the love I stole.
And when we are finally together we will unite the fires within,
Ashes of love, twin flames, far beyond all thought and skin.

Without the mirage.

“If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit at home and think about it.  Go out and get busy.”  ~ Dale Carnegie; American writer and lecturer, self-help developer.
     In conquering my own fears I have learned a thing or two along the way, and always still learning.  When I came from Argentina to The States it was all new and different for me–different culture, different mannerisms, different places, different language, different lifestyles, etc.–and I really fell in love with all this change in time, because the key to grow and expand yourself in this life is by adapting to change and by no other way; however, after losing a few family members and stumbling through economic problems in a place which did not resemble my place of birth at all, I felt like a massive wave of fear and anxiety had collided with me and had become me, and the worst is that it was constant.  Throughout several years afterwards I became a working young man, jumping from job to job, to help in my household, and so there were good times because, even though fear and stress had a continuous hold within me, my family was with me.  But at that time I didn’t understood anything about fear and anxiety, what they are, how they rise, and how to get rid of them.  Years later, I became more mature and wise in the ways of life, and I had gotten the gist of it.
     (Funny and interesting how life develops; you mostly never understand in the heat of the moment, but later on, if you truly meditate on what happened, then the master sage of life hits you with incredible understanding and clarity.)
     When we have a fear we tend to believe it is real and that it is a real threat, whether a fear of spiders, a fear of public speaking, a fear of public places, a fear of being our unique selves in front of others, a fear of this or that; furthermore, we navigate the waters of fear in our minds and become immersed in them, when great anxiety sets in which can lead to physical and mental pain and, in some extreme cases, a serious stay at the hospital of our choosing.  But the reality is that we create fear, like time, or like beliefs, or like our personal views in life, we choose fear even if we do not think so–i.e. fear is a dual concept and the opposite vibrational side of courage, man-made and purely a fabrication of the ego, it is thinking constantly about something negative which may happen in a future that is not here yet and never will be.  Fear is in the future which will never exist in real life, because real life is always the present; however, it is our mind, the ego specifically, the one which takes us to the future and makes us quiver every time we feel incapable of doing something or every time we doubt ourselves and our strengths to overcome something.
     And fear may also live in another illusion, namely the past.  But the past is gone and was never there in the first place; but, of course, our memories, our minds create these powerful images of the past and take us there–i.e. past abuse, neglect, issues with family and friends, bankrupt, the loss of someone you loved, etc. etc.  So we live in the past and, because our minds are extremely powerful, start having strong emotions which give us negative feelings which we will carry into our present.
     But think deeply about it:  The past and the future do not exist, the past and the future are illusions of the mind which bring fear and anxiety when these create negative emotions within you.  The only reality there is, and most certainly it is, is the present, and in the present moment there is all you need to be happy and confident and brave.  But you have to be rid of that silly process, which we all do in our ignorance, which is living in the past and the future when it brings you stress and all anxiety, fear.
     Be cautious of real dangers to your life, like lions or dinosaurs attacking the city, but, be intelligent, do not feed mental fears that you yourself (your mind) create.
Fear-Quotes
     Get hold of your mind.  Your thoughts create your emotions, and your emotions become feelings which can bring you much suffering, so learn to master yourself and live in the present moment, enjoy each moment.

The problem with stone.

“Everyone experiences tough times, it is a measure of your determination and dedication how you deal with them and how you can come through them.”  ~ Lakshmi Mittal; steel magnate.

I was walking my dog this morning under the half-asleep but beautiful sky of Provo, Utah, while enjoying the perfect whispers of air.  I started looking around me and observed the trees, the singing birds, the colony of ants working early in the spot of dry dirt near me, and I was reminded of the beauty of nature even here in the city.  And then I kept on walking and encountered the giant stones and rubble from construction–i.e. a construction site of building apartments which we sometimes visit for our morning walks at about 6 am.  My eyes fell onto the giant stones and, for some reason, I was reminded of the other side of life, the duality we must deal with in this life in order to achieve progress, the man-made structures, relationships, and challenges; because looking at that rock made me acknowledge and understand further the stone we sometimes design over our hearts, just like a shield or a covering wall around the beating heart.

Life is beautiful and rich, both in spiritual wisdom and in the material growth of man, but it is plagued by challenges which can either make us or break us, and it is always up to us to decide despite the ugliness and unfairness we may meet along our journey, either become masters of the wonderful fate we create or become victims of the destructive fate we create.  Quite often we fall prey of constant fear and stress, whether in our jobs, relationships, chosen lifestyles, etc., and, more often than not, prey of others, whether our bosses, our own family and friends, our neighbors, even people we do not even know; however, we must understand beyond pain and sorrow that everything and anything which happens to us is never random, is never a source of “luck” or a lack of it, but that all which befalls has a purpose.  Life, beyond the egotistical and, often wicked, schemes and designs of man, is the ultimate teacher of wisdom and Higher Intelligence, and life works for us if we have an open heart to hear it; however, if we close our hearts and let the ego-mind scream loudly, as it always does with its pitiful and obnoxious whining, then we won’t hear the teaching of the master and instead we’ll hear our own stressful and fearful thoughts.

7a4cdc3f-2205-47ac-8318-2ab4ccb344d4-original

If we have a problem, let us say for example, an economic one and so we cannot pay mortgage or rent this month, what do we do, we wallow in the fear of the deadline and we start following our own thoughts of hate and self-pity; however, this creates more stress and nuisance to our well-being, our mental strength decays and our views of life narrow because we only allow our problem in our consciousness, and, going beyond that, we must remember that our minds and brain processes are attached or connected to our bodies, thus via our strained nerves and poisoned blood now our immune system falters and we become more prone to disease and all kinds of more serious mental and bodily injuries.  One thing that most people ignore or even deny is this:  Our minds and the contents we put there are electric and vibrational emitters and receivers; therefore, we truly attract and repel whatever lies in our conscious, our waking mind and the one we know, and whatever lies in our subconscious, the mind which is divine and hidden from our reach and the one which contains many traits of our personalities, views, fears, etc. etc.

Let us explore something more terrible of the human condition, namely rape:  Rape is an extreme form of violence against the body and mind of a person, the wicked and injurious act robs the person of mental peace and security and leaves the same with a massive and profound wound which affects that person and the ones he loves; but, it does not stop there, because rape also distorts reality in the victim, life turns fearful and full of ugliness wherever that person goes mentally and physically.  But, like Buddha says, “Every experience, no matter how bad it seems, holds within it a blessing of some kind, the goal is to find it.”  So, the rape victim has two choices, one is destructive and much more painful, the other one is a blessing if the right perspective is chosen.  One can either think about it for the rest of one’s life and live in misery and contempt, perhaps after a while kill oneself; or, the other one, one can get professional help dealing with the emotional trauma, become stronger and deal with the present, not the past or the future, life as it is and in time just put it in the past regardless of what happened.  I know it must not be easy, but there is always time and wisdom that cures all.  Man does ignorant, sometimes called evil, deeds, but that fact shouldn’t be an excuse to live a life full of hatred and misery.

10397816_989895171092892_6961144610502298543_n

     See, the ego in man resides in the conscious, where the fear and stress is born from the chattering thoughts of everyday.  But life is beautiful and rich, and, beyond the pain and suffering we may encounter along this man-made world, our minds always decide how to see what we have experienced, our minds decide if we attach ourselves to self-pity and ego or if we continue stronger and more resolute than ever before; so, better pay attention and use higher rationale from an open heart, we should take control of our minds lest we start hating life itself.

Let your heart speak to you, and more in times of trouble.

Poetry of the muse.

“Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility.”  ~ William Wordsworth; English Romantic poet.
Two of my poems and paintings to set the mood.

The  Warrior  of  Light

I

Of the thousand wounds which the mind’s eye can observe,

Of the powerful hurt which the heart’s memory recalls,

Of the unpleasant occasions in which there was no reserve;

The character of the warrior within me suffers no loss.

II

Oh, how beautiful the horizon for the faithful warrior of days!

And how wonderful the very sights of nature for the true sage!

Oh, the spirit of this warrior lives in the perceptive gaze!

The fine disposition, the honest intention, and the radiant face!

III

A whisper of love among the screams of hateful tension,

A sliver of sunlight in the pit of wretched gloom,

A grain of courage in the vast harvest of apprehension;

It is all The Warrior of Light claims to give bloom.

IV

There is heavenly energy in the purity of the warrior,

There is wondrous depth in the clarity his mind,

There is unique beauty and strength without barrier;

For to his devotion there is no joy he cannot find.

                                         V
The confidence and power which dwell as unabashed currents of fire
As the warriors with glory and fury in times of old and awe,
The same fire which lives inside my heart and lifts me higher
Beckons The Warrior of Light within me resolute and outlaw.

Dark  thoughts

The loud cries of two confused conditions

Within the intensity of my prevailing muse,

The hyperactive violence of ruthless visions

Which darkens the conscience of the news.

The poet writes what the soul delivers in passion,

But my mind bleeds painful and hidden thought;

The demon stands his ground without compassion,

The angel persists with kind and heartfelt plot.

Peace and freedom may be found in the wise part,

Passion and truth may deliver in honesty most pure;

Quarreling ideas may be conquered by the heart,

And of the ways of this poet this is the cure.

Alchemy.

“The domain of individual destiny is controlled by an interplay of many cosmic forces, mainly benign; but in the present world society, due to mankind’s misunderstanding of both earthly and heavenly purposes, these forces have been turned to other uses, frequently chaotic and disintegrating.”  ~ Count St. Germain; alchemist, painter, philosopher, essayist, poet, diplomat, philanthropist, musician.

When most of us hear the word ‘Alchemy’ we picture an old sage in ancient times leaning against a hot pot stirring and stirring and creating mysterious fumes while wearing a large robe, mainly stirring and stirring to create some elixir or to turn lead into gold.  But that is just the superficial part of the science of Alchemy; because, in fact, Alchemy started the sciences we have today–i.e. chemistry, psychology, botany, geology, physics, anatomy, physiology, etc. etc.  Let us have in mind not just ‘Alchemy’ but ‘Mental Alchemy,’ because the human mind is all in the Alchemy of the true sage, because the human mind hides mysterious and fascinating energies to transmute the lead of the ego of simple man into the gold of the god-man.  So there is the study of who we are, and I do not mean our names or cultures, nationalities or the identities we create for ourselves; however, I mean the study of who we are beyond this waking thought we experience every day and this body made of flesh and bone.  To be more precise, is the study and discovery of our true Inner Self, which some may call Spiritual Self or Divine Energy; hence, it is about the energy and essence that makes us and sustains our life, which connects us to one another and to all nature, precisely all nature from the dust on the earth and the insect on it to the planets and stars in the vast dark above us.

The roots of Alchemy date back to ancient Egypt, and perhaps even before that, and a mysterious manuscript called ‘The Emerald Tablets.’  Alchemy arrived in Spain during the Arabian occupation by the Moors and then spread to the rest of Europe.  Alchemy reigned as the supreme science in Europe for about 1,700 years.  In fact, many of the cathedrals of the Middle Ages carry alchemical symbols and secret formulae.

alchemy3This is a coin minted from alchemical gold showing the symbol of lead (the ignorant, waking mind of the simple man) going up to heaven to transmute into gold (the mind of the god-man or the superior, spiritual intellect in man).

Only a very few adepts knew of the essential agent, the sublime heat of the soul, which fuses the emotions, consumes the prison of leaden form and allows entry into the higher world.  Carl Jung made alchemical methods part of modern psychology when he talks about the subconscious mind in man (the Infinite Intelligence in man).

But, you see, reader, the true science of Alchemy is the science of the spirit in man; therefore, because is about the spirit and so it does not have anything to do with machinations of men or material temples or churches built by men, religions of the world do not have a claim on this higher science.  Because the spiritual, the divine in man, the gold in man must not be confused with the crude, the ignorant dogmas and ideas in the simple man, the lead which is of the lower man. alchemy1

As people grow throughout life, they start to imitate one another, consciously and subconsciously, mimicking the personalities and identities which they see fit and which brings pleasure to his daily lives.  Because of their new adopted views in religion, society, nationality, culture, etc., and due to becoming fearful followers and not leaders of their own lives, most dwell in a sense of unreality as they become victims of themselves under the ideas and interpretations of others, and subsequently they persist in identifying themselves as vile sinners dependent of some human leader and a divine god up in the skies to deliver them to some promised land.  People thus become victims and go throughout life blind to their fortunes and believing in some divine blessing or curse falling upon them, and they are never masters of their destinies but humble servants of their own egos; that is, enslaved to their wild imaginations and ego-created fears.

This fear and ignorance transforms their thoughts and feelings into hell on earth; however, the purpose of all thought and feeling is to give us the beautiful form of wise and individual experience, to thus shape our self-confidence and unique personas into higher intellects, higher personas in the spiritual and mental realms.  So we Alchemists, true and wise Alchemists today and always, understand this and embrace this in our hearts; because we recognize that thoughts and feelings are exposed to sadness and misery as well as higher intelligence and wisdom, and in order to have only the latter we need to lead and not follow, have a free mind and accept who we are beyond all idea and form.  By stopping to watch TV, by not falling into the shopping and commercial trap, by not following society and religion, by not choosing an identity based on friends and family, by not imitating others, by watching the food-energy we put in our bodies, etc. etc., this can be accomplished.

alchemy

So, life is not meant for us to embrace mediocrity and be content with following the herd, and it is not meant for us to massacre our higher purpose by living in the fear and anxiety all TV, society, religion, nationality, culture creates; but it is meant for us to be unique in all aspects and raise above all feelings of fear and anxiety.  Every human being has mighty energies and capacities, from the homeless person living under the bridge to the spiritual Alchemist who feels one with all, and so this is why we are born and given thoughts and feelings inside a physical form; and, even though most people do not really understand and embrace that fact in their behaviors, we must accept what we do not see and hear in our heads, we must realize that we all have the capacities to be Alchemists and lead our own lives, the capacities to turn crude lead into divine gold, because no society, religion, father or mother, friend or acquaintance, can do it for you, can better your life.

Wise leadership (Yin and Yang principles)

“An army of a thousand is easy to find but, aah, yes, how difficult to find a general.”  ~ Chinese Proverb.

I am currently working on a self-help book, titled – “Inner Wealth, Outer Wealth,” and it felt appropriate to share with you a small passage from a chapter I titled – ‘Wise leadership: The godly powers to build.’

     I was contemplating within myself this morning and it came to me just how we sometimes tend to forget about the forces of nature working within ourselves when it comes to opening the path for others to thrive, and even for our own selves to thrive, in the business of life.  See,  when it comes to all business, of course, most people focuses on the outward aspects of leadership and strength to lead–i.e.  always planning and directing people in the crux of professional pursuits, whether in your own business or in the business of others.  But there is also a mighty power which is highly motivational and successful if harnessed by the great and wise warrior; that is, silence is a great and divine source of strength for the wise leader of any business and of life itself.

Have you ever noticed that experienced and successful motivational speakers pause sometimes to build momentum and let the wisdom their giving to people sink in…??  Have you paid attention to great movies when the hero is about to kill the murderer or save the day, that momentum building suspense or anxiety in the viewer to evoke deeper emotions…??  That is silence which aids in achieving success without effort, and so the wise leader understands how these energies in silence influence the minds and emotions of other fellow men.  Silence, when it is summoned by a true leader, is indeed wisdom emerging from the mental power of the energies of leadership.  Silence this powerful and influential springs only from wisdom, from Infinite or Higher Intelligence, because the energy in silence indeed manifests Cosmic Creation itself.

Hence the contrary, talking and talking, stressing yourself and others nonstop, rushing yourself loudly and others, is the realm of the waking mind, the mind which never stops its monkeying around, the earthly mind, always having something to add like a ravenous monkey, always having to prove its intelligence like the vainglorious man, always having complaints and opinions about every little thing; and such narrow-minded and obnoxious process is the enemy of all wise leadership.  Can you learn to work hard and do great things without doing anything…??  Can you manifest your intentions and your beliefs to others without having to always do something…??  Can you achieve without moving a single finger…??  Can you learn to become open and without the need to always be thinking about the stresses and problems of your day and the pressures of your  business…??  Can you lead yourself and others without actually leading as most men do…??  These questions seem complex, perhaps even illogical, for the uninitiated in mental leadership, but they are quite simple to the powerful mind of the experienced mental scientist.

Indeed, a mind this vigorous and grand goes beyond the mind of the normal individual, whether the person is rich or not, educated or not, fair-skinned or not, male or female, young or old; therefore, some may call this mind ‘the mind of the genius businessman.’  And this mind is made, not born.  Once your mind becomes this powerful, you can positively answer these questions; but, until then, you will not even understand them.

leadership3

The great wisdom of Chinese philosophy shows us the way to power and leadership, to the fruitful and successful life in any facet.  Being open and receptive, or having a powerful mind which is open and receptive, among the many disturbances and distractions of the pressures of daily personal and public life is called Yin, the moon, the valley, the concealed aspect, the female force or female principle in nature;  being strong and directive is called Yang, the sun, the mountain, the superficial aspect, the masculine force or masculine principle in nature.  But, even though they seem absolutely different and apart from each other, like heaven and hell, they are in fact two parts of a whole, just like the concepts of  heaven and hell; hence, they are one and the same and need each other, because neither one is whole by itself, and a powerful and successful mind can only be whole.

Now, imagine a valley with beautiful flowers of many colors like violet, red, pink, yellow, and blue, and in its center an open and outstandingly green field with a vast and inviting source of clear water; then, in its reflection, you can see all energy of creation, all power of the creative mind.  Go to the waters and be still, patient, observe silence and beauty, contemplate the freshness and rich texture of the naturally flowing waters, see the great gifts and possibilities in the stream reflecting back to you; and as you do this, your whole body becomes energized by this inner transformation.  And you became transformed just now by the reflection upon the clear waters, as soon as you peered into them, because you  yourself were the reflection, and because you were the waters as well.  This is Infinite Intelligence.  This is Yin, the female principle in nature.  You can go to these waters whenever you want, they will always be there for you, even if you feel depressed or miserable, undeserving or unsuccessful, the source of water will always be clear and rich with reflections.  You need not fear.

The wise man, the wise leader, knows this and visits the waters quite often, in utter silence he observes, no words or opinions of any kind are allowed lest he disturbs the waters and misses the beautiful and transforming reflection.

Now, imagine a boat or ship, sturdy, commanding, of great power and engineering, committed to sailing, discovering new places, conquering storms in the tempests of night, going where no man has ever dared to go before because this ship has big and noble ambitions.  The ship’s engine and sails are mighty as they affront the tempestuous currents of the night, as they cruise with power and a rebellious attitude through all obstacle and naysayer in its path.  This ship is also you, it is your intellect full of desires and ambitions, the one encountering all the storms and dangers.  This is Yang, the masculine principle in nature.   You can guide the strong and commanding ship always forth, you can conquer all misfortunes and stresses in life, you can be invincible if you know how and where to steer the ship; however, you need both, Yin and Yang, to succeed, for you need to be whole first—i.e. if you are broken, if you guide yourself and your life with just one piece, then you must discover the other piece in yourself, that is, if you seek success in all aspects of life.

Only a wise and powerful leader knows this in his heart, and the people he guides and aids knows it as well, because he himself emanates this like sunlight emanates warmth.  See, reader, leadership is about preparation of your mental forces and attitudes first; therefore, if your house is cluttered and filthy, no person will come to you because you will reek of self-pity and lack of ambition.  The attraction to better yourself and to motivate others is not there.

But do your dutiful, inner work, visit the waters of your own consciousness in silence and respect to be energized and transformed, steer the ship in a strong and ambitious manner, do not stress yourself and others, and the rest will come to you as the moth comes to the flame.

The mask.

“Each man’s life represents a road toward himself.”  ~ Herman Hesse; German-born Swiss poet, novelist, and painter.

One day, a disciple asked Buddha:
“Most respected one, can you please tell me what is the size of the universe?”
Buddha replied :
“Will knowing the size of the universe help you end suffering?”
The disciple answered:
“No, most respected one.”
Buddha then answered :
“So why are you asking questions of little importance and not asking questions on the ending of suffering?”

In the world, there are people who are intrigued with heaven, there are people who are afraid of hell, there are people who want to learn about supernatural powers; but, in reality, these people’s minds are just ignorant and out to enjoy temporary relief from their empty and somewhat boring lives, perhaps their lives are not fulfilling in certain human aspects in society–i.e. they do not like their jobs, they have family problems, they feel insecure about themselves in some deep aspect of life, they feel trapped by something, their nagging thoughts are always focused on conspiracy theories and in the ugliness and stupidity of society which darkens the mind instead of on the truths and beauty of life which inspire the soul, etc. etc.–and all process which is pleasure and a form of delusion, because they want to ease their existence and step away from the fear the unknown creates in them, feel like they are learning above others and doing something extraordinary, and be one more of the ignorant group without caring about inquiring into the truths of things for themselves and thus feed their egos.

Now, most religions preach about how the universe was made, what happened afterwards, the scriptures’ meanings, that their path is the right path and their ceremonies the righteous ones to get into a heaven which only accepts them and their beliefs, that their prophets or pope now-a-days talk to God (which is not true but a creation of the mind, for if people stops following the herd and think for themselves they discover the blasphemy in this, that it is another delusion man created in his own ambitious mind; because God is ABSOLUTE Love, and this creative force has no religion, and because God does not lean towards a group of men or dogmas).
See, man in his arrogance and delusion created religion, and that is why there are so many of them out there; because religion comes from a desired ideal to rule in people’s minds and hearts, an ideal comes from thought and thought is of this world.

12923310_10206525922015961_4007554282624317429_n

Religion does not want you questioning and looking into yourself, because if you do look and question into yourself long enough then you will see through the strong illusion they have created within you, through their charade and mind control which keeps you chained to insecurity of life, death, and what’s next; and, most importantly, they do not want you to find out who and what you truly are, for they day you find out this you verily awaken and become a god-man which feels no need for them and their pitiful institutions anymore, and a god-man whose mind is rebellious, uniquely free and creative, and more clear and that can peer into man’s very intentions and psychology.  I know this from experience in my own life.  Know thyself and you shall know that you are God.

     However, one should learn the true happiness/blissfulness:  The happiness or Nirvana, the end of suffering.  Because life is painful and that is a rule of life, to learn from, to get back up, to raise above it, to conquer ourselves and to fulfill our own individual greatness.  But, even though life is painful, Buddha has said that suffering is optional; we can overcome suffering because the god in us/the divine energy in us all gave us the ultimate weapon that cures all, and all we have to do is learn how to use it and harness it properly (some people learn, some people do not).  The OMNISCIENT AND ETERNAL POWER OF LOVE.
Love is all there is in the universe, but we do have to understand what it really is, because it is not just superficial, because it is not just a warming feeling here and there rising within us whenever we fulfill a desire or an expectation, and because it is not just a positive thought which the Bible or a person’s words puts there; furthermore, wrongly and ignorantly, most people believe that love is found in other people, relationships, things, events that occur in life, without understanding that true love is discovered and not found.  True love is discovered in oneself, it is accepting yourself and increasing your self-esteem on your own every day without following the lost masses, just believing in yourself.  And the only path to increase your self-esteem and believe in yourself 100% is to empty your mind of all the garbage society, television, religion, books, culture, nationality, etc., put there; when your mind is absolutely free of all this, then you will be unshackled and left with clear space to fill your mind with the rich truths of life.

When your mind is empty of the garbage of the world, you can fill it with great and deep self-compassion and self-acceptance, you can fill it with the strength and self-confidence to become whoever your heart says you become, you’ll reach success in any aspect of life because now you embrace fear and you do not run away from it.  This is why people are always stuck, because they run away from fear, they avoid it like the plague; however, the true warrior in the battlefield of life does not run away from fear, nor he avoids it, but he conquers it by embracing it, because this warrior knows that fear is not the enemy but the opposite side of valor, and so he turns it around and uses it to his own advantage.

See, religion and society are built upon the ignorance and subconscious fear of the masses, and it is not good for them that you should find yourself free of fear and confusion, lest they lose the grip they have on you and you stop buying things you don’t need, stop going to church and paying their tithing and helping grow their power, stop watching their nonsense on TV, stop filling your mind and body with the literary and also with the food garbage they force upon you, and so on and so forth.

In short, for the ones among us who really understand, one word to describe love who conquers all of the above-mentioned it is ‘Peace’.  ABSOLUTE inner peace.  Peace of mind.  Peace of heart.  Just Peace.  Nothing else in the heart and mind.  But just untainted Peace.  Not the peace offered by others, or by following others.  The Peace you discover within yourself when you look within yourself.

Peace while watching the crazy man-made world turn.

The mystery and beauty of life.

“Because of your smile, you make life more beautiful.”  ~ Thich Nhat Hanh; Vietnamese Buddhist monk, peace activist and lecturer.
     Ever felt like life itself is conspiring against you…??  Ever felt miserable because things are not going the way you expected them to…??  And in the back of your mind there is something, a loud and anxious voice telling you to quit and fear the worst, while there is another, fainter,  and seemingly weaker, voice coming from deep inside you telling you to keep going in spite of the challenges, telling you that perhaps there is something to this; hence, trapped and narrowed by these two opponents, your mind becomes angry and overwhelmed with fear and confusion, then you turn around and you denounce the world and what is currently happening to you, and consequently your mind is closed and life to you seems uglier and more violent than before.
     You walk around in a bad mood now and only see demons in your friends and family which you cannot stand, such demons that once before you considered angels in your path; and when somebody nears you and talks to you with a smile or with a joke, you become more fixed in your own dark and muddy thoughts and you think they are mocking your current situation or somehow belittling you.
     Perhaps you listened to the wrong voice from the start–that is ‘the loud and anxious voice telling you to quit and fear the worst,’ remember?  This voice did wrong by you, no doubt about it; its loudness and commanding anxiety meant freak control and fear-mongering to your already confused mind, it robbed you of your wisdom and deep logic and it made you into a belligerent fool whose eyes only saw negativity and unfairness wherever you went.  And now you ask yourself, What do I do…??
life
Stopping your racing mind and meditating about life itself can give you peace and warmth in those ill-bred moments when you feel no way out.  Listen to your heart and shut out your nagging mind for a while; do not follow your heated thoughts, be silent and contemplate yourself deeply, for there lies the answer to all and the absolute strength you seek.
     But that’s just it, don’t you see?!  What do I do…??  That is exactly the answer!  Because that is the mystery and beauty of life; the incredible challenges, the confusion and fear, the great wisdom of the great sage imparted to you.  That is what can make you or break you, isn’t it?  If it breaks you is a sign, so you fix yourself, you pick yourself up and you become hard like steel, laugh at what happened to you and continue going without stop; if it makes you is a sign as well, so you fill yourself with strength, you become grateful and continue with a higher vision.  The fear, the embarrassment, the confusion, the negativity; we all feel this, and we all have the strength and wisdom to come out on top of every situation, because life itself, the core of its essence beyond what this negative voice in our head says to us on a daily basis, is perfect and all wise, it knows us and what we really can accomplish; for this essence of life is strength and positive creation, and this is energy which lives inside each cell, each atom, and inside each corpuscle making us and everything we see around us.
13332879_242342546146690_3428093915943815029_n
The ignorance of society and our own thoughts try to confuse us and deceive us into acting without thinking quite often–i.e become angry and violent, argue nonstop, get revenge, fear what is coming, buy that or you won’t be happy, etc. etc.  But, even though they try to bury you, if you contemplate your heart in silence, your inner self beyond your thoughts, you will find out there is more to you than you knew before.
     This is the greatness and richness of life, friend!  Can’t you see that?!  The very fact that we all have a chance to learn and raise ourselves up, to rise like the mythical phoenix and light up the sky with our magnificent flames.  Now, imagine if we didn’t have problems and challenges, if we did not have this nagging and negative voice telling us to quit every time some obstacle comes up in our path.  Could we then become better and feel great strength and bliss when we keep going despite obstacles…??  If you meditate about it and think with logic, then you’ll find that the answer to the question is no.  Wisdom and higher intelligence, the greater heart and persona you are cannot be discovered without this voice, without this duality in life.
     So, whenever you feel confused and overwhelmed, anxious and tensed with fear, just stop your racing mind and contemplate the seemingly weaker voice coming from the depths of your heart, the one telling you to keep going despite the challenges; there, you will also discover the wisdom or higher understanding you need in those difficult times, and since it is already in you then you will make your perspective and outlook in life a natural disposition to beauty and positive attitude.
     When you find and listen to this voice in your heart, and ignore the loud screams emerging from you fearful and violent mind  which darkens everything, you will feel in peace even in those treacherous times when rain pours and pours, not because you become naive and a positive freak, but because you are now more intelligent and strong–i.e. true and natural intelligence, as the strength to overcome every obstacle in life, comes from your heart and not from your mind or brain I.Q.
Understand this.  Remember it.  And become it.

The essence of happiness.

“Happiness is a choice.  You can choose to be happy.  There’s going to be stress in life, but it’s your choice whether you let it affect you or not.”  ~ Valerie Bertinelli; American actress.
     The crux of the  matter of the true essence of happiness is that happiness has no cause, so do not strain your mind, as most people do, thinking that you need to experience wealth, that you need to experience driving a better car, that you need to experience a relationship, marriage, traveling, a better job, more friends, drinking alcohol, experimenting with drugs, skydiving, bungee jumping, etc. etc., to feel happiness or experience it.  Happiness has no cause and it has no qualities or characters; for happiness itself is already a condition of existence within you, and it is what we humans call inner peace–i.e. a peace that is not just of the mind or intellect, or even created or forced upon by us, but a never-ending peace that just is existent in the depth of our hearts, and a peace which involves your whole existence and makes you feel whole and without fear and anxiety, when you pay attention to it and block your nagging thoughts from interfering that is.
13335921_10154272073651350_9113013695136301400_n
      See, happiness has no cause, because whatever has cause in life at some point disappears–i.e. money runs out, relationships die of age or lose interest, cars break down and rust, your pets die, conversations do not last, the sunshine is not always there, your thoughts and emotions change, and so on and so forth.  There is a cause for each one of these things I have mentioned–for example, a relationship is caused by the desire to find another to share emotional and carnal interactions with, or sunshine is caused by the particular seasons and the specific qualities of the day in question.
     True happiness, which in itself is limited by the human word as all divinity is, cannot own qualities or traits, emotion or thought, because these have causes and therefore origin and are based upon desires to fulfill.  Whenever you find a cause to “happiness”, it is not true happiness because it is chained to a desire to fill a gap in your mind and heart, and when you feel like you need to fill a gap in your mind and heart then it means you believe yourself to be not whole.  See, when “happiness” has a cause and it fulfills a desire which is made in your thought first, then it is coming from outside you–i.e. money, a relationship, sex, a trip to another place, a new car, petting your dog, hugging your friend, admiring great art pieces, etc. etc., is coming from thoughts and actions you create and it is being fulfilled from the things or experiences happening outside of you.
     True happiness is the eternal existence you are beyond thought and flesh, and such thought and flesh are moody, prone to flaws and diseases, and the rest of the roller-coaster triggers from the outside and which thought creates, obstacles and mere pleasures.  Now, I need you to understand this really well, because this is a profound topic of life, and I know words can be deceiving or misleading.  See, I am not saying that economic growth, relationships, loving sex, friendship, family, and the strong desire to be better in all aspects of your life is not noble and productive, not at all; in fact, these are why we are here in the human flesh in the first place, for we are here to increase our capacities and experience all these, for we are here to learn to create from the immaterial to the material and enjoy our successes.
     What I am saying is that most people cannot raise above their own mediocrity and so wallow in sadness because they do not really understand what true happiness really is.  Because they search for happiness when happiness must not be searched, but happiness must be discovered within you.  This sounds like a cliche or some highly spiritual philosophy, but in fact it is not.  Think about your experiences as a child, maybe your first toy or your first kiss or something great that happened to you, remember how you felt based on the emotion and not based on the outside experience of doing something.  Now, think of your grown life, perhaps a new car or a new job or a new baby, remember how you felt based solely on emotions not based on the actual outside experience.  Does it have any difference the emotion in its core…??  I am not talking about the experience itself–i.e. receiving the new toy or expressing yourself in the relationship.  The emotion, for lack of a better word, wasn’t it one of freedom and complete absence of fear and anxiety, wasn’t it one of total inner peace…??  And wasn’t it the same condition felt in your heart whether the outside experience was different…??
     The experience itself of having the new toy, the relationship, the new car, and whatever it was, was a cause for certain pleasure and might have lasted a few hours, days, months, or even years.  These were mere triggers or pleasures you did search for or encountered in your life’s path in order to quiet your nagging thoughts of desire for a time, and thus experience the inner happiness or peace which was, and is and will be, already inside you.  Understanding this is the difference between living a roller coaster of emotions in your life and living always blissful just because you live another day and you choose to embrace who you truly are.
love2
     This state of wonderful existence has been given many names on our planet, and love is one of them, but this is the true essence of love which is non-anxious, sensual, or jealous, or has any cause for existing within us at all; hence, this is love of your true self, of your divine self beyond the nagging thoughts of desire and emotional roller coaster of every day.  This is the essence of true happiness.  Embrace it.
