Letting go to free yourself

The road inwards

Each man’s life is really a road towards himself, and it is in dealing with himself that he discovers that every experience in the world emerges from himself. The way he chooses to think and feel about the breakups, about the loss of his house, about the poverty he experiences, and about everything else entirely is the key to his failure or success.

Because when we meet a person we love or hate, or when we think that we are valued or not valued, or when we feel that we can or cannot do this, or whatever it is, there lies our bias. The mindset we have. The attachment to that mindset. Because it’s all about the content of our minds and the perspective we choose to see and experience from something lived.

Observe yourself

It is these brains we have, they compartmentalize everything. So, if you attach yourself to anything, and it is then not what you expected, you start believing that it is not you but them. But if you become self-aware, you realize that you are indeed your best friend and also your worst enemy. You just didn’t know it before because you were too self-involved.

You are alone in the world, and yet you attach the way you think and feel to others. It is their brains, that confuse people who are not aware, which, sadly, it is most people in the world. So, in living life, do not remain attached to mindsets. Whatever these mindsets are, you can never know the truth of yourself and of life through them.

Let it go

Mindsets are like groups in society. They will enslave you without your knowledge. They will become bias to your thinking and feeling. They won’t allow you to remain open-minded to all there is to understand in life. They will put you in a box and limit the way you see that life. You can’t really expand your awareness like this.

Only in letting go from the attachment to your own mind you can discover happiness. Or you can be like most people, chase money and more knowledge, and more relationships and goals, and more beauty and popularity, and this and that, and then end up frustrated and confused because happiness escapes you. But whatever you choose to do, always remind yourself that it’s all you.

Finding purpose

The whole purpose

Sometimes we became aware of things later in life. Sometimes it takes years, even decades, for a person to discover his passion, his goals, what he really wants to pursue and work with great commitment. Sometimes life is truly difficult for us growing up, and so we discover our true strengths and capacities when we are older and more mature.

But this is just learning and discovering ourselves. At different levels, it happens to any one of us. It is the whole purpose of living. So, there is really no age number, no definite moment, to pursue your passions in life. The worst mistake you can make is to belittle yourself and say that you can’t because you’re too old, or because you have other responsibilities, or because the people around you doesn’t support you.

Finding and feeling joy and inspiration

Granted, one should always pursue with caution, with intelligence, and without being impulsive. First and foremost, one must pursue with maturity and thinking what is the best for our current lives. I, for example, became a published author in my late 30s. In my late 30s then, after much research, I discovered my strengths regarding to creative writing.

So, I blended fantasy with spirituality in my books, because I want to entertain people but also guide or help people with the burdens of life. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that one should always stop oneself, search deep inside, and find whatever inspires you and fills you with passion. It’s not about money alone, but it’s about finding and feeling joy and inspiration in what you do.
