“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.” ~ Theodore Roosevelt; American statesman, author, explorer, soldier, naturalist, reformer, and United States President.
“Don’t obsess about the failures. Instead, investigate and close the successes.” ~ Chip Heath; motivational author and public speaker.
Quite often life challenges us and the human mind mind gets so overwhelmed with illusions of miserable failure and great embarrassment in front of others that we tend to sabotage ourselves, we shrink a little and smile on the outside but our emotional states are not elevated one bit. This is when the ego is allowed to rule our lives.
To act opposite the ego and its depressive chatter in this case is truly wise, because to reach true success means getting out of your comfort zone and becoming a Master of new life philosophies, a Master of your mind.
A master of your mind does not mean that you are always free of thoughts of failure, but it means that you have raised yourself above those thoughts and that now you can see them without engaging with them, without allowing these same thoughts to take you over and cloud your judgement in life.
