Connect.

“Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what people do or say.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.” ~ Charles R. Swindoll; evangelical Christian pastor, author, educator, and radio preacher.

When dealing with people it is wise to remind ourselves that we all have different experiences, upbringings, likes and dislikes that have shaped our minds and behaviors; therefore, we must all accept each other in order to tolerate and further connect with each other.

There is no more ignorance from an oversized ego than to judge people ahead of time, without knowing their reasons and without knowing their full intentions through their behaviors; otherwise, you will miss the opportunity to develop yourself as a more compassionate and understanding human being and to, perhaps, connect with that person at a deeper level.

Most ignorant people tend to judge people specially based on looks, they do not stop their thought and try to understand the psychological experiences that person might have had to live through to adopt the way he or she looks.

Tattoos, esthetic surgeries, body piercings, excessive body fat, the way one dresses, etc.–these might have a past, some right or wrong reason, some psychological origin; however, that should not be judged, because if one spends the time judging and pointing fingers, then there is no time and desire for your mind to expand in understanding and for your heart to love without an interference from some ridiculous ego.
